Good work Flowery - looks filling 👍👍

I’m wavering a bit at the mo but Jane is keeping me on it.. far easier to stay on the rails when you’re adding veg to something already there. If I had open choice, I’d be doomed!

So today’s lunch was tomato and basil soup with a salad. Hmmm....I think I have nine soups to send back 🤢. The best I can say about it is i’m not hungry after- but I didn’t enjoy eating it! Will exchange for Chana Dhall, chilli and penne with olives. All the more calorific options annoyingly. Please ignore the background of chaos and Lego in the background of picture. My Instagramesque styling isn’t up to much!
How’s everyone else getting on?

Soup with a Lego background is the way forward, flowery !!! 😂😂😂

I ike the cous cous for lunch - can’t remember the calorie content but it’s easy to take to work and v filling.

I’ve had a conference today - just got back, had wine & nibbles with clients so not great but had JP bar for breakfast & cous cous for lunch so not hideous...

Completed my first day on Jane Plan. Feeling fine about it.
I had the classic granola with strawberries, mushroom soup, and penne Bolognaise and side salad for tea. Found all the food tasty and not feeling hungry tonight. Really looking forward to tomorrow!
I signed up for 4 months, holiday 15th September, and would love to lose a stone in the first month!

Flowerypig · 13/06/2018 10:42

Hi peppers 👋 glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
I have weigh in tomorrow and am actually quite nervous! So hope i’ve Lost something as I have enjoyed it so far and really want to succeed! Have been to the gym twice this week for a swim- will try for three times next week.

Chicken lemongrass curry. Really nice and made a couple of grilled veg kebabs to go with it.
Was struggling with hunger today.
I had penne with olives for lunch with no accompaniment though so that will be why.
Still have a snack allowed!

Flower the couscous looks good think I’ll have that for lunch tomorrow.
I’m looking at the beef regu for dinner tomorrow but it looks soupy. Is swede allowed as part of the added veg?
Is everyone managing to stay away from the scales? I’ve only been on JP two days and desperately want to weigh tomorrow!

Flowerypig · 14/06/2018 06:39

Peppers: no idea about sweede myself- i don’t eat that myself. They have a live chat thing on the Jane website- maybe try on there?
Anyway.....weigh in day today! I’ve lost 4 pounds 😁! Super pleased with that!

bbcessex · 14/06/2018 06:58

Good luck with your weigh in Flowery

I like the lentil pie too Peppers - it’s surpringly filling.

I am thinking about this . You are all inspiring me so following .

Ellesbelles04 · 14/06/2018 19:03

Hello all-

I’ve been a bit quiet but still sticking with the Jane Plan!

I’m one stone off which is great. I had a few boozy parties etc which had slowed me down- but now quitting booze for a while as considering trying to conceive soon!

Great to see some other Jane planners here! Yes to lentil cottage pie and the chilli! I also like the salmon and quinoa for lunch.

I hope to have a good focused on track run for the next couple of weeks as nothing crazy to de rail me I hope...

Hope all is well with those just starting :)

Peppersandrice · 14/06/2018 21:09

Well done Flower that’s a great loss.
I’m really hoping I can resist a sneak peak on the scales until my first weigh in on Tuesday morning. Seems ages away!
I had the little vanilla biscuit as snack today and was quite tasty and definitely gave me a sweet fix.
I am feeling a little hungry tonight but that’s because I’ve just started my period 😟 so hope I don’t cave over the next day or two.
Enjoyed the tikka masala tonight with a load of cut up mushrooms added to bulk it out.

I've never heard of the Jane plan until this thread but it's inspired me to look into as I also have a holiday coming up in September.

My dear dog was put to sleep yesterday and I'm absolute wreck at the moment, but hopefully when I start to feel a bit better I can get on board.

The pictures have seen so helpful, would love to see more of what everyone is eating.

And great losses everybody.

bbcessex · 14/06/2018 21:56

So sorry to hear about your dog, Ginger - that’s very sad xxxx

Can I join the thread? I had never heard of Jane until Googling it as a result of this thread and I immediately signed up.

Started on Monday. Loving it so far and my meal options are limited to the vegan ones.

One blip yesterday when I was in a meeting way longer than I expected and didn't have time to go home for my lunch so had to grab a veggie sausage roll - but even with that I stayed within calories.

Favourite so far is the Malaysian curry.

Flowerypig · 15/06/2018 08:13

Ginger: i’m So sorrry to hear about your dog. You must be missing him so much. Sure you’ll do great on plan when you feel more settled.
Feral: welcome! Hope it goes well for you! Are many of the meal choices vegan? Am veggie and find there’s a great range for that! My favourite is the arabiatta pasta.
Had the bran flakes for breakfast- think they were supposed to have strawberrries in- but I didn’t notice any! Just the same as bran flakes really. You do get a bigger portion than with the granolas though. The littles have eaten alll the blueberries so need to go find some fruit for my snack as couldn’t have any on my cereal. Honestly, my boy can eat a punnet of berries in about 20 seconds flat. Like a little hoover that one! I took him to pyo berries at a farm one year. It was carnage! They should have weighed the child on the way out-not the boxes!

feral · 15/06/2018 11:24

There are 4 vegan main meals I think, a good few lunches and all breakfast apart from the bars.

I had the branberry this morning too - one strawberry!

The penne isn't vegan as there's egg in the pasta for some reason.

I'm good with repetition though, I like the fact that I don't need to think too hard a out what to cook.

Peppersandrice · 15/06/2018 13:12

Struggling with hunger today! This is day 4 and I am starving. I started y period yesterday and am having a hungry day today.
I had the pecan granola for breakfast which was fine, tomato and basil soup for lunch which I like as well. And having beef regu tonight. But my question is these meals only add up to less than 600 calories. The extras I am having are not adding up to much so am I right in thinking that most days are about 900 calories?

bbcessex · 15/06/2018 19:51

Breakfast - muesli with added seeds & nuts

I don’t know Peppers - I don’t really look at the calories - probably should.

Does sound low though - maybe you should add a tonne of veg to things , esp if you’re ravenous?
