I'd love to lose 2 stone and change my username. I found 5 2 too hard to stick to and LCHF very effective but I get bored quickly and I love pasta. Courgetti just isn't really hitting the spot. Currently 11 stone 11lb, height 5ft7. Hope someone will join me to see if this will work. Smile

I've lost 5 lb! I can't tell you how happy I am.

Ouch456 · 23/04/2018 08:16

Today’s going to be my first day, hoping I can last until 12 on just water but if not I’ll have to change my hours and get used to early dinner. Well done on your results so far!

alwaysonadiet1 · 23/04/2018 08:29

Wowee Steala. Amazing. Well done.

I think I am going to try this. I tend to eat evening meal at 5.30 mostly, so I'm going to do a 10-6 window. I have five stone to lose, but I have to start somewhere. I tried calorie counting and MFP last year, but it made me obsess a bit and so i fell off the wagon after a while. This seems to be more sensible and will prevent me from eating sugary breakfast foods if i end up just having an early lunch and then an evening meal.

Belindabelle · 23/04/2018 12:24

Just to let you all know that I have lost 9 lbs this week.

I am doing the Blood Sugar Diet which is only 800 cals a day so would have expected to lose something. I don't know how much of the loss is down to 16/8 but I do know that restricting my eating times has made sticking to 800cals possible.

katand2kits · 23/04/2018 12:31

Wow 9lb is phenomenal! Well done!

alwaysonadiet1 · 23/04/2018 14:15

9lb Belinda, oh my, I can only dream of that! Very well done.

9lb is awesome well done! sadly I caved at 10am but only ate a couple of rice cakes. Had a chat to my flat mate who’s really into keeping fit and he told me he does this diet but started with 12/12 and moved to 16/8 over a couple of weeks so i may try doing that but only rice cakes/fruit before 12 Smile

alwaysonadiet1 · 24/04/2018 10:36

Bit of a blip last night! Friends over for dinner and did not manage to stop at 8.30, nor 9.30 or even 10! Blush

To be honest I'm finding it more difficult than I envisaged but sticking to it. Well done to all of you who are already seeing results.

LookingforHope · 24/04/2018 18:53

Me! Did it from Jan to March and lost a stone. Now back from holiday and want to get back on it to lose last few pounds

tiredmummy1991 · 24/04/2018 19:04

Can I join please! I've been trying this for a few weeks now but I just keep messing up so I need people to back me up, it's my wedding in August and I need to lose some weight before it!! Help me please.

alwaysonadiet1 · 24/04/2018 19:41

Hi looking and tiredmummy, best of luck. I always try to use a holiday as motivation, a wedding would probably work better. Smile

alwaysonadiet1 · 24/04/2018 19:49

Keel - keep on going and if you need the occasional break just have it. Anything we do needs to work long term, if it's too hard it won't work. I don't know if it's for me in the long run ... just hoping it works ...

Thanks for the welcome. I try to do a 12.00 to 8.00pm window as often get home from work too late to eat early. Avoiding breakfast suits me too as I find it hard not to eat carbs at breakfast (too disorganised to cook eggs or prep ahead Blush ) Starting again tomorrow. Good luck to everyone here. I find it does work for me even though I cheat a tiny bit with milk in my morning coffees. Brew

tiredmummy1991 · 25/04/2018 09:04

I'm starting today and I'm gonna way between 10-6, I'm a sahm so by the time I've done the school run, which is a 2 mile walk im hungry and I normally have tea with the dc so think this will suit me best

alwaysonadiet1 · 25/04/2018 09:12

One week in and I lost 2lb. So nothing too exciting but if it carries on that way I will be very happy.

Can I join you all ?
I lost 10 pounds before Christmas by skipping breakfast and cutting down on carbs. But then discovered Warbutons Gluten free sour dough bread with lashings of butter 😁.
So I aim to start again with no alcohol during the week and no snacking in the evening ( this is new!).
Have started with a large glass of home brewed Kefir plus blueberries and some Stevia at 11.45. Hopefully followed by a healthy lunch at 2pm and dinner at 7pm. I have to have the Kefir on a empty stomach as I have Ibs and this really helps settle my tummy.Ironically healthy eating can really set off major issues. Which is why I’ve got so fat.

Loopy9 · 25/04/2018 12:51

@lookingforhope I’m also doing 12-8pm skipping breakfast is ok for me but I’m starving at lunchtime and my lunch doesn’t seem to hit the sides! Although I’m 2 wks in and I can defo see a difference on my stomach.

I’m also having milk in my coffee/tea I’ve searched the web and it says this will be ok if under 50 calories as it won’t affect fasting.. so I’m hoping that’s right!

alwaysonadiet1 · 27/04/2018 08:30

Hope this is going well for everyone. I've lost another lb! Too impatient so back to weighing every day

OP posts:
katand2kits · 27/04/2018 10:27

Doing ok so far. Starving by 10am but I am finding that I am probably eating less overall because I'm not eating for the sake of it at 7am when I don't need to, and I'm not having cheeky 9pm packets of crisps either. I'm going to have a day off on Sunday for a special occasion though.

Ouch456 · 27/04/2018 14:40

Switching my hours to 11-7 has helped me stick to it much better and even on days where I give in early I’m finding it easier to stop myself snacking all evening.
Going to pot tonight as I’m attending a party with a lot of wine.
No idea if it’s working as I keep forgetting to buy new batteries for the scales Blush

Steala · 30/04/2018 14:27

I gained 2 lb. oh no!

Riversleep · 30/04/2018 18:21

I forgot to take my lunch to work and couldn't get anything to eat untulb2pm so did 8pm-2pm! I thought I'd faint but actually I was fine with water and coffee! I've had my dinner too so I've had a really small eating window.
