I'd love to lose 2 stone and change my username. I found 5 2 too hard to stick to and LCHF very effective but I get bored quickly and I love pasta. Courgetti just isn't really hitting the spot. Currently 11 stone 11lb, height 5ft7. Hope someone will join me to see if this will work. Smile

It's so frustrating to work hard to lose weight and then put it back on so easily. I'm hoping this way will be a long term solution. Praying it works!

Oh look it’s 10am only 2 hours to go before I can eat. Actually I feel fine, this is day 4 for me and it’s going well so far.

MamaTT · 19/04/2018 10:32

Well. The mountain walk was adjourned early. DD had a pants explosion that leaked up her back, through her clothes and into the sling. Had a very whiffy walk back down the mountain. Cleaned her up in the van and now carrying her round town as I have a few errands to run. Just stopped for a black coffee for me and boob for her.

alwaysonadiet1 · 19/04/2018 10:33

Bet that reduced your appetite a bit this morning Mama.

Hi everyone, had cup of coffee and lots of water this morning. Not finding it too bad so far as had lots on this morning. Determined to get my willpower in order. Yes nothing like a pants explosion to curb the appetite mama!

Steala · 19/04/2018 11:57

I'm in a dress and I have discovered chub rub and cellulite on my ARMS! Motivation is high today!

Steala · 19/04/2018 11:58

And can I have some advice? I last ate at 10.30 last night. Should I battle on till 2.30 or should I just make sure my eating today is contained witting an 8 hour window?

alwaysonadiet1 · 19/04/2018 12:16

Steala, if I were you I would just keep within the 8 hours today, having lunch at the normal time, especially if you want 12-8 or similar to be your usual eating window. Fifteen minutes until lunch, yippee. Not been too hard skipping breakfast. I've been busy decluttering my wardrobe. Hungry now though.

I had tea and coffee and have come to the local pool sans kids!
I am sunbathing and looking hideous in my costume. Had a lovely salad lunch and swam about 12 lengths (huge pool) so feeling smug 😂

Pashazade · 19/04/2018 12:28

I've been doing this for a month or so now. I have only lost 4lbs but I have not gained any back and my eating habits have been all over the shop other than trying not to eat after 8pm etc. I find it easy to stick to and having done it previously if I stick to 1500 Cals during the day, which is a lot easier without breakfast factoring in, my weight does go down. Good luck everyone.

MamaTT · 19/04/2018 12:58

Gosh yes - poonami definitely curbed the appetite! Well done ledkr on the swim!

Just had my stir fry and shared a few grapes with DD. Thursday evenings are super busy. Making up bolognese now for tea. Will have a protein shake before the school run. Then straight from school it's straight to crossfit for DD1 and DS. I'll have a 40 min walk around the park whilst they're in there. Then it's home for a quick bit of tea and then get DS to football by 5.30pm. I'll watch him until he finishes at 6.30pm. Then get them home, breastfeed DD2 to sleep and leave them all in DPs capable hands whilst I go to crossfit at 7.30pm. At least there's no time for snacking Smile

Belindabelle · 19/04/2018 13:43

Hiking up mountains, crossfit, swimming! You lot are too fit for me.

Just had lunch at 1.30. I had dinner really early last night at 4.30pm, which means I have just gone 21 hours without food. I had intended to have something around 8pm last night but I forgot. I never forget to eat so not sure what is going on.

alwaysonadiet1 · 19/04/2018 14:01

Pashazade I would be happy with 1 lb a week, I would be size 10 in time for my birthday in September. I have 3 dresses all bought in the sales in size 10 in moments of optimism because they had run out of size 14.Smile Not been able to get them on yet!

Because of the warm weather my appetite seems to have waned and all I really want is drinks. Just nibbled on snacks and fruit. Testing time for me will be this evening when I 'll be craving crisps and nuts.

Keel · 20/04/2018 07:43

Well didn't cave in to the snacks last night though I was very very tempted. Hope everyone's going on ok.

Ledkr · 20/04/2018 08:04

Shopping today so will be able to buy nice stuff for my first meal 😁 Mustnt give in to the bakery

Steala · 20/04/2018 08:10

Yesterday was fine because DH is away, so there was no one to tempt me with crisps or wine or Easter egg. I often skip breakfast (although knowing I have to suddenly makes it more attractive) so the main change for me will be the evening's and they certainly need to change, so that is good!

alwaysonadiet1 · 20/04/2018 08:40

Good morning everyone. Our friends were still here at 8.30 last night but I stopped drinking wine at 8.30 on the dot and had a herbal tea. Very unlike me! Day one done, about 180 to go. It's going to be super hot here in London again today.Smile

Keel · 20/04/2018 11:04

Always that's very disciplined with the wine and herbal tea! Its warm here in Sourh Yorks and I crave a cider lolly but I won't give in. I keep looking at all the lovely new season clothes on Warehouse website and it's helping keeping me in check. Good luck everyone.

Ledkr · 20/04/2018 13:49

So spent a fortune in aldi on lots of nice fresh food.
Anyone else having tummy issues. Blush it must be all the fruit and veg I'm scoffing.
I bought vodka instead of wine to make long drinks and hopefully less calories. Vodka lime and soda for me tonight.

Rassy · 20/04/2018 13:49

Am interested in doing this to try and shift half a stone. Due to running commitments would only be able to manage a couple of days a week. Is it still worth doing or do you need to do every day? Would be doing mfp on other days

EgremontRusset · 20/04/2018 14:13

Hello!
What are the ‘rules’ for 16:8 in terms of what you can or can’t have during the 8?
I’ve been doing an informal 16:8 also known as skipping breakfast then eating whatever in the afternoon Grin but I wonder if there is more to it than that...

Belindabelle · 20/04/2018 16:27

I'm not sure to be honest.

i think some people do it for the health benefits. If you are not eating for 16 hours your body has time to repair and concentrate on other things rather than digesting food and dealing with raised insulin etc.

I am doing it to lose weight so I have to count the calories that I eat within the 8 hours. As I am getting old and menopausal I have decided to really cut the calories and the carbs and am following the Blood Sugar Diet.

Ouch456 · 20/04/2018 16:44

Hi
I’m also wondering like rassy if it’s likely to work if I only complete 5 days a week. I start work at 4am 2 days a week so on those days not eating until 12 would kill me.
I think I’ll give it a go anyway, the sun has inspired me Smile
