I'd love to lose 2 stone and change my username. I found 5 2 too hard to stick to and LCHF very effective but I get bored quickly and I love pasta. Courgetti just isn't really hitting the spot. Currently 11 stone 11lb, height 5ft7. Hope someone will join me to see if this will work. Smile

Not heard of this, I’m in.

alwaysonadiet1 · 20/04/2018 21:36

Hi everyone. Unfortunately I have no idea how 16:8 works if you tweak it because I'm doing it for the first time. I suspect if you do lots of exercise and eat very carefully in the 8 hours it will work brilliantly but I'm not trying to do that because I know myself too well and won't last the course Blush. My experiment is to eat, drink and be merry, within reason, within an 8 hour window and see what happens! I will keep you posted. Good luck.

I slipped last night but only by an hour. Already feel
I'm roughing it out this morning. I think it will take a little wading in for me.

alwaysonadiet1 · 21/04/2018 09:49

Don't worry Steala an hour is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I am drinking pints of sparkling water in the mornings with a dash of sugar free lime cordial to stop me feeling hungry in the mornings. I know artificial sweeteners are not ideal but it's helping keep me on plan.

Going to weigh myself twice a week so will weigh in tomorrow and see if anything is happening yet.

ouch I think as long as you do the 16 hour fast you can choose your hours so if you start work at 4 you could eat at 8am or something and stop at 4pm.

alwaysonadiet1 · 21/04/2018 17:46

I was sooo hungry by lunchtime, we went out for lunch so had to wait till 1.20! It tasted delicious!

I'm here and missed my
Window by an hour again. Looks like I'm trialling the 15:9!

alwaysonadiet1 · 21/04/2018 23:07

Ha Steala, I bet it will work. Let me know!

This sounds interesting, I need to lose some weight I've piled on recently. I work from 3-7 so some nights don't eat dinner until 8. I can't eat in work so I'm trying to think of how to work out the timings. If I eat 12-8 then won't have much actual time for eating. Maybe that's a good thing though.

Keel · 21/04/2018 23:54

Not had a very good day with it today. All timings gone out of window. Oh well back to it again tomorrow. Always suspected it was going to be farmer for me at weekends.

alwaysonadiet1 · 22/04/2018 07:19

Nannyplum, how about 1pm to 9pm? A big lunch at 1 and a small snack straight after work if you need it to see you through to dinner at 8? I'm weighing myself this morning as it's the start of day 4 but have to wait until everyone's awake as the scales beep really loudly.

Better luck today Keel, if you are about to waver, go back to the online window shopping. Smile

I've lost 2lb so far...

I just started today. I'm trying 16:8 with a huge focus on veges and protein in my eating window. But, having regained everything I lost doing BSD last year, I'm defintely trying to keep myself from feeling restricted. That way leads to huge bingeing for me. And scales, so I'm going to try on a skirt I adore but do not fit, weeks until I can do it up.

Hoping for some balance this time round, something I can maintain for life.

Frankier88 · 22/04/2018 08:55

Hope it's ok if I join too!
I'm off on holiday in 3 weeks, have lost quite a bit of weight through lots of exercise, but really need to curb my night time snacking habit. 16:8 should be good for this!
Starting today 🙂

alwaysonadiet1 · 22/04/2018 09:07

Welcome cartoons and frank. I completely agree about finding a balance between too strict and not strict enough.

Well done always. Yes I think I need to have a word with my willpower!

Nannyplumssillyoldelf · 22/04/2018 10:47

Well done always. That might be a good idea. I'm going to start it tomorrow, I've already had a bacon roll for breakfast.

alwaysonadiet1 · 22/04/2018 11:11

Yum! Bacon roll! I could murder one right now.

PutTheChocEggDown · 22/04/2018 12:46

I'll join you from tomorrow. I was doing it then just started eating in the mornings again. I'm going to do it alongside the BSD. My food window will be 11-7.

Nannyplumssillyoldelf · 22/04/2018 19:46

Do we do this every day?

Belindabelle · 22/04/2018 20:35

Yes everyday if you can. I started on Monday and I have found it fairly easy. Just hope I can keep it up. I am also doing it with the BSD.

Munxx · 22/04/2018 20:41

I have just completed my first week on the 16:8 wish I had found you guys earlier! Have found it fine so far- I do 10.30am-6.30pm as my eating window. Haven't weighed myself this week yet but was 12 stone 10 last Sunday....ouch! Size 14 starting to feel tight so need to do something about it.
