I need to stop the slide. I’m now over 11st and it’s all round my waist and face which at 5ft 4in is starting to make me look as wide as I am tall.

Back on mfp and going for 10k Fitbit steps to start off.

Would love some company, otherwise I’ll just witter on to myself anyway Grin

Is it wrong that I'm pleasantly surprised how few calories there are in prosecco (relatively!)

Started well, falling off the wagon with a BBQ tonight but that's why weigh-in day is Wednesday so I have time to recover after the weekend. Plus it's such a nice evening it would be rude not to.

Damn are you me?? Ds born last July and piled on 5 stone, also lost half post birth (he was 10lb9oz) then put almost a stone back on.

Also I think I might be you too fluffy as I’m 5ft 4” and 11st4oz.

I’m only managing to do about 4000 steps though as I have chronic pain and I’m lazy and can not seem to stick to the 1200 calories.

I convinced myself once I stopped bf that the weight would drop off - it has not...

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I’ve been awol the last few days. It’s been busy and this weather has been glorious!

It sounds like some good progress is happening and lots of exercise! Well done 👍.

diamantegal I agree with the calories in prosecco...worth getting a bottle in 😄.

I’ve had good days and not so good days in terms of keeping to the 1200 calories. However on the days I haven’t been as good I’ve still been making better choices and I’ve had some treats. For me this is still working and it’s been about changing my ways not being on a very strict diet. I’ve continued walking and been trying to get a minimum of 30mins active walking a day, in the hope I also hit 10,000 steps throughout the day. My steps range between 5000 to 16,000 so I’m happy. I can feel the changes and haven’t been as focussed or obsessed with food.

I’ve lost 1lb this week so 4lbs in total in two weeks which I’m really pleased with. If I continue this, even with 1lb loss per week I’d be happy. 10 weeks until my holiday so 1b a week would get me to my goal of 9st 12. I’ve still not dared try in swim wear yet Grin.

Good luck for the weekend everyone!

I just wish my middle area would flatten down! I feel like I still look pregnant in most things I wear and DD is 5 months now!

Hi all

Had a bit of a blip on Saturday, but back on it now. Lost 1lb last week. I've started adding some HASFIT workouts (YouTube) to my running as well.

1lb a week would do me too popsicle but 2lbs would be even better!

Hi! Can I join? I'd love to lose a stone by the time I go away in 15 weeks. Am back on mfp and trying to increase my walking to an hour 5 times a week. I can't overdo it on the walking due to my joint condition.

A stone would be lovely but honestly anything would be great right now as long as it continues decreasing. I've lost almost a stone since this time last year and I was really rubbish at sticking with it last year so hopefully with me sticking more to it I'll be able to lose more.

I'm currently having porridge and a banana with breakfast, tin of soup for lunch and then dinners trying to keep them relatively healthy and low in calories. I think a lot of it for me is portion control and stopping when I feel full.

May I join please?

Very well done to those who have lost some weight already!

I started mfp (which worked well for me a couple of years ago) and couch to 5k which I haven't done before.

So far, so good! It's made me realise how much rubbish I was eating every day Blush

My holiday is 12.5 weeks away so I am aiming to lose some weight for that.

Currently 10st 5lb which is the heaviest I have ever been Blush

I am doing my weigh in on Mondays.

I’ve just painstakingly replied to everyone individually and my damn phone has just lost the lot so here it is in a nutshell...

Welcome newbies, good job losing some, love a bbq, wrigh-in luck, fat tum empathy, prosecco, we shall not slide!

Me, I’m doing ok. Biggest victory was yesterday after having a rough conversation with a poor performing supplier... I didn’t eat chocolate as a crutch! And I even TURNED DOWN lovely colleagues’ offers to get me some.

I refuse to allow some jumped up pillock to cause me to slide!

Slow n steady folks, we got this!

Can I join? I want a stone off in 13 weeks. I’m also started back with MFP, doing 10000 steps (struggling to get past 8000 for some reason) and some kind of aerobic exercise thrice a week. I have the wii Zumba which has 20 minute sessions so not full on but enough to begin with so I don’t get board and give up. I’m waking up early with the light mornings so plan on a quick Zumba before shower and work.

Hi Acorn, a stone in 13weeks sounds really do’able.

I’ve been down the gym today and done 45 mins on the treadmill, then 30 mins of squats/lunges/hip thrusts and a bit of stretching then 30 mins of free weights.

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 25/04/2018 07:11

C’mon in Acorn. I hear ya about the 8000 steps. I keep getting to 9500 and only realising when I’m getting into bed and too knackered to walk it up another 500!

Josh you are a machine! 💪🏽

I feel like a machine. Aqua circuits this morning and possibly BodyPump this evening because I skived off BodyPump last night to do my own thing in the gym and feel I need a pump class now!

Off to walk the dog 3 miles now. Dogs are very good for getting your steps in, I average 14,000 a day. Grin

Well done @MrsJoshDun It sounds like you're doing a lot

And @fluffygreenmonsterhoody That's great you managed to turn down the chocolate!

I managed to get out for a walk yesterday. I'd taken spare clothes which got soaked in by bag as my water had leaked. It was pouring down with rain and I could've easily said nuts to it and not gone but I'm so glad I did. Managed 3 miles, got soaked but it was good.

Does anyone know how accurate fitbit is in estimating calories burned?

Well done everyone!
josh wow- that sounds like some good gym sessions.

Sorry for radio silence- busy week with toddlers birthday party on Sunday. Up and down week- i tend to be ok on weekdays but not so good at weekends, but then I'm trying to find a balance and not be on a 'diet' as such.
Finished couch25k and just started a 10K one. Nearly threw up this morning after my run...can't decide if it was the heat and exercise or I'm ill.
2.2lbs off this week so just under half a stone in total. Just need to keep it up- 7 weeks til holiday.

Hmm, well on the face of it week 1 was really successful - lost 6.5lbs. However, as 4 of those lbs appear to have been lost overnight, I'm not sure they're real - wasn't very well yesterday so a lot of it is probably water.

Still, I'll take the 2.5lbs that I think I've genuinely lost. Have been a bit half-hearted - being sensible rather than actually calorie counting so if that works, it's more sustainable.

Welcome new joiners. acorns wine is my downfall as well - so many empty calories. I think that's the main reason I lost weight this week - really tried to cut back.

PumpkinPie2016 · 25/04/2018 17:28

I've done well today - 6 calories under the 1200 target on mfp.

Had no wine since Sunday either.

We did a yoga session after work today and I am doing C25K week 1, run 2 tomorrow.

Been drinking lots of water as well.

I better be lighter when I weigh myself Mon morning!

Report
MrsJoshDun · 25/04/2018 17:35

Weighed myself 2 days earlier than usual today as not sure I can make the gym on Friday.

I’ve lost 0.7kg in 5 days and more excitedly I’ve lost 1kg of fat and put on 0.3kg of muscle.

According to the fancy scales I’ve moved from the “solid build” category into the “standard musclar” category where people have higher than average levels of muscle and average levels of fat.

Pleased with that. Very muscular category next hopefully.

Well done everyone. All going in the right direction.

Well I weighed in today after two weeks and have lost a grand total of 0.6 fecking kilos. Zero point six!!

Trying to tell myself that if I hadn’t been wearing hockey boots, two pairs of socks and trackie bottoms rather than shorts and no shoes like last time then I’d have seen a bigger difference!

fluffy. That’s still a pound. Which is good. You may find you have a bigger loss next week. When I’ve had weeks with a small loss the following week I’ve lost 3lbs.

Well done on all the losses!

Still going well here although I finished slightly under calories yesterday and looks like I will today. Don't feel hungry though which I suppose is good.

Doing week 1, run 2 tomorrow.

Trying to hold off weighing until Mon as that will be a full week since I started.

I feel better already though so taking that as a good sign!

Feeling a bit 'strange' today and not sure why Sad

I am set to 1200 calories per day on mfp and have been at or slightly under calories all week. Been eating well and have felt great all week. Did exercise twice - Mon and Wed and still felt fine.

Today, I will finish very slightly under calories - probably about 20 cals under. Have drunk plenty of liquid but I have a headache and feel a bit shaky/sickly. Started before dinner so thought I was just hungry but having eaten, I don't feel much better. Very odd.

Otherwise going well and quite looking forward to weighing in on Mon!

Pumpkin could t be a sugar crash? I’m not doing so well. Think I’m on week 3, really struggling to keep to the 1200, I probably average 1400-1500, that’s still a good 500 less than I was taking though.

I’m weighing daily which I shouldn’t do as 3 days ago I was 10st 12.5, this morning I’m 11st 1.5 😩. That’s about 2.5lb over the 3 weeks but considering my calorie intake before I was expecting much better.

Tried Leslie’s 1 mile yesterday for first time, which is the most excercise I’ve done in years Blush, going to try do that daily. I was sorting out my summer clothes from before pregnancy and they’re all size 8, so no chance they’ll see daylight this year...

PenApple I was wondering whether it was a sugar crash - finwgers crossed I will feel.ok today.

Sorry to hear you are struggling - 1200 calories isn't much at all is it?!

Maybe take your weight to be whatever it is after the full week as I have heard there can be big variations day to day and even in the same day (although I am desperate to weigh now but tomorrow is my full week).

Trying to keep going as I am desperate to lose some weight for my holiday Sad
