Twiglett

Day 1 for me - initial target () is 42 pounds.

I don't want to sound like a dipso but please am I allowed some alcohol in my week - "challenging" 3 year old and crying 5.5 week old plus often useless dh = solace in a wine bottle needed at the end of the day (a manicure/facial/bath etc just doesn't have the same effect I'm afraid).

10:35am and unusually for me no choc has passed my lips, just 2 pieces of toast and I think I willnow go have some fruit.

prufrock · 19/07/2004 10:46

Target is only 14 1/4 pounds now, but that's because I lost 3lbs in the last 2 days from eating some dodgy fish and throwing my guts up - so I'm not going to be too distressed if this week isn't good. (Oh God I'm making excuses already)
Food consumed so far today - 1 coffee with a spoonful of sugar (tried it without but just couldn't) and a peach.

Metrobaby · 19/07/2004 10:57

My goal is 21lbs. Do we have confess already what we have eaten???

I started off very well so far this morning and had 1.5 cups of tea with 1/2 a sugar, prunes with plain yogurt and errrrmmmm (whisper) a packet of salt n shake crisps

Ghosty · 19/07/2004 11:23

17 lbs for me ...

Bozza · 19/07/2004 14:59

Well I'm at 23 lbs to loose.

Glad you've started a new thread twiglett because the other one has gone loopy. I'm not cutting out alcohol monkeygirl but limiting it a little. Otherwise just sensible eating and cut down on the sweet things.

sandyballs · 19/07/2004 15:07

Can I join in please? It might help motivate me. I need to lose 14 lb to start with. Can't give up the wine though - I shall limit it to weekends.

So far today ...... two slices of toast and marmite, one banana and an M&S "Count on us"
low cal chicken nacho wrap. The belgian choccies are doing the rounds in this office and I have so far resisted ..... not sure I can keep that up though!! I can smell them ......

angelpoppet · 19/07/2004 15:08

well I don't start Weight watchers until tonight so I'm not sure how much I'm gonna have to loose - I'm guessing it will be about 28 - 35Ibs. I'll let you all know tomorrow once I've been weighed!!!!

I'll probably be feeling depressed - no nice food

angelpoppet · 19/07/2004 15:10

Come on Sandy balls - you can do it.

If you can smell the chocies go and get some options hot chocolate (low cal) and satisy your choc craving with that!!!!

Spod · 19/07/2004 15:31

Hi everyone I feel like its the start of a boxing bout when the commentator says "and in the south west corner weighing in at a substantial 12 stone is scrumpy" I aim to lose 32lbs so I can see my stomache so I can put my belly button ring back in...has not seen the light of day since 3 months pregnant...would not be pleasant sight at the momentgrin{}

mit · 19/07/2004 19:25

Would love to join you....I've lost quite a lot already (don't know how - just put it down to the magic of bf!) however I'm stuck with another 10lb to loose - can't fit into any of my pre-pg clothes still and can't afford to replace my whole wardrobe. Still have fat fingers too so can't wear my engagement ring .

Hello

I would like to shift my nice comfy tummy cushion which I reckon would weigh in about 8lbs.

The scales said I was 11.3 and a half yesterday and that's good enough for me.

Need a lot of energy though, running around after a bouncy 3 yr old and an almost walking 10 month old so go easy on me please. Am more than happy to exercise a lot though.

Can I join in please?
I mix feed dd (9 months old today) but do at least 3 breastfeeds a day..have spent the last 3 months losing 9lbs of the flab but still have 14lbs to go.

Today I weighed in at 9st 10...goal weight 8st 10.

I've been so good all day..but got to go and ice a birthday cake now!

Heathcliffscathy · 19/07/2004 20:58

me too, can i join. still doing 2 bf a day (3rd feed is formula) ds 9 months. lost a stone on ww online. put on half a stone in the two weeks since i stopped . weigh 10 1/2 stone. need to lose at least another stone. help me holy ones. i have no willpower when it comes to cheese, rice, pasta or alcohol. i can do no sweets or chocs tho.

Chandra · 19/07/2004 21:05

Can I join too? pleeeease? I am not breastfeeding (DS is almost 18m now), it seems that this commandments are the only thing needed to control my weight.

Chandra 16 lbs target???

Kif · 19/07/2004 21:14

Kif checking in.

Dunno how much i want to lose - think 30lb would get me back to where I was (gulp).

I don't really do any plans - or even that organised - so you guys can laugh at me as my weight keeps moving int he wrong direction.

Still gobsmacked that weight isn't falling off with this new mum lifestyle- constantly on the go, eat when I can, carrying heay sprog around... I've never been this active!

Re: commandments - given subject of this thread Number 5 would require quite a feat of contortionism (and highly peculiar taste) ! Suppose most of you are not first timers...

Kif · 19/07/2004 21:16

Are banana chips bad for me? With red wine? Guess who hasn't been to the superwarket for ages... if I don't go soon it'll be hand towels for nappies
