monkeygirl · 21/07/2004 11:12

I can hear Barney in my kitchen...oh no he's in the treats drawer and getting a biscuit out......what an inspiration I am to all dieters eh

Ghosty · 21/07/2004 11:13

Twig ...
I feel I must confess too ...
After episode with DS this afternoon I had 2 Chocolate Freddos, followed by the end of DS's dinner (which he did get in the end) and most of his pudding ...

Bugger ...

Oh well, in the words of the beautiful Scarlet O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day" ....

prufrock · 21/07/2004 14:30

I have to confess too - after being very good all day, and even managing to avoid opening a bottle of wine, i did have 1 1/2 bountys last night. But there is no more chocolate in the house.

scrumpy · 21/07/2004 18:47

lots of fruit/chicken breast and cottge cheese for lunch low fat bolognaise without spag made by dh for tea and treat for day wolfing down last bit of ds petite filous yum yum .....he was,not hungry by then, honest..

Everybody elses food smells more appealing than mine..even food I hate makes me feel ravenous..wierd or what

Spod · 21/07/2004 21:01

i am feeling smug as i have been terribly good and not eating any crap for a week now... not a single wiff of sugar, fat, cream, crisps, biscuits, oh biscuits...chocolate digestives....oh no! i love biscuits.... i have barely amy food in the house, except for dd and her stuff is so healthy that theres nothing worth nicking...... what i need help with is easy, quick, largeish lunches so that i don't eat my largest meal at 9.30pm ..... any scrummy ideas gratefully received

Forgive me forgive me oh Twig. I am truely remorseful I have committed a verrrrry bad sin. I went to Macdonalds yesterday and had a 1/4 meal. I have also eaten wince Monday 1 bag of crisps, 2 kitkats, and 2 homemade biscuits. I am so ashamed to admit this.

BTW - I am not sure about this dieting lark. Am i meant to starve myself and eat very very little??

Metrobaby · 21/07/2004 22:59

Bugger - meant to say I had a 1/4 pounder meal.

mit · 21/07/2004 23:28

I had a good (and me thinks healthy) lunch today -as you were looking for inspiration Spod: brown pasta (my new favourite!), about half a handful when dry, frozen spinach (about 3 tablespoons when defrosted in microwave), poached egg & a drizzle of olive oil....yummy, filling and pretty good I think!
mit x

noodles/chicken/lemon/chilli/mushrooms/peas/sweetcorn thing last night with huge salad (rocket, watercress, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber - oh and probably a bit too much dressing)
this am latte and ham/cheese croissant - ok, I know, but I have got a pretty full-on day ahead.
how's everyone else?

Fennel · 22/07/2004 09:42

since signing up to this thread have eaten less - maybe it will even work where all else has failed? Metrobaby I am not going to try dieting while fully bf, maybe after if the weight won't shift but for now am trying just eating more healthily and a bit less of the evening bingeing.

yorkiegirl that's so impressive!

suzywong · 22/07/2004 09:43

you know I am trying, porridge and yogurt for breaksfast, no snacking etc etc. But, in a playful mood this morning at 5.22, I lay on my back and gathered the robust land mass of my belly together in an attempt to amuse the wakeful ds2 and it seemed to have PERMANENT written right across it

angelpoppet · 22/07/2004 10:12

I know it's only my 3rd day on this diet but I have to be smug and say I'm doing really well - not only have I used LESS than my allowed ww points each day I have also been for a bike ride to earn myself some bonus points!!!

Anyone feel like giving me a punch in the mouth right now?!?!?!?

Don't worry, I give it 2 weeks before the novalty wears off!!!

Yorkiegirl - and everyone else who hasn't strayed from the 'path' - well done, I am so impressed.

I had a very very bad day yesterday with dh and so seeked solace in wine and chicken and chips .

As someone who has been brought up to seek comfort through food, anyone have any ideas as to what I could use as a prop instead?

And I would also like any ideas for quick healthy lunches and suppers.

Today I shall really try to be Saint and not Sinner .
