I think I'm really thick - you are supposed to be breast feeding to join in with this aren't you?!?!?! - I'm not by the way (just on a diet!?!?!?!?) I am ttc if that helps???

Anyway I went to my 1st meeting last night and I have still kept 1 stone off from the last time I was a member so I'm quite chuffed with myself.

Today is the 1st day and I feel fine - not depressed about things I can't eat at all!!!

AND - I'm going for a bike ride with dd and dh after work tonight (bonus points here I come!!!)

bundle · 20/07/2004 11:43

ok. have failed miserably, even with coddy encouragement. and as I'm still feeding (dd2 15mths), let's give it a go. now knitting furiously in the evenings to limit calorie intake. does this involve cutting out alcohol? or just cutting down??

OK, after emptying the refrigerator at midnight after I went down for a glass of water, I'm guilty enough to proceed to the next phase: to limit the intake of cheese, sugar, salt, bread, mexican tortillas, DS's cookies and to focus on keeping the fridge door closed during the afternoons.

Chandra · 20/07/2004 15:20

How can we help? should I copy the Weight Watchers no-points vegetable soup recipe here? it is very good and you can have as much as you want without using a point

Skara · 20/07/2004 15:28

oh nooooooooo! I forgot!

so far today I've eaten too much home made bread and butter and an excess od custard creams...

Right then - off to catch up on the thread and see what I'm supposed to be doing - how mortifying, I'm such an airhead

Skara · 20/07/2004 15:52

ok, here's my plan - stick vaguely to the WW thing, simply because I have a ww cd which counts everything for you and tells you how greedy you've been. I think this week though I'll aim for not eating leftovers, eating a proper breakfast and not eating any more chocolate. And Monkeygirl, you're not alone - I'll put 42lb as my initial target, although in an ideal world I could lose another stone and a half on top of that and be superslim glamour mom .

Oh god, here we go again...feel like I've just done it after no2 child, and I'm back to it again with no3. If I ever get pregnant again I'm going to sellotape my mouth shut for 9 months

Chandra · 20/07/2004 16:08

sellotape the mouth? why I didn't think about that while I was pregnant????

bundle · 20/07/2004 16:09

I've only had a chocolate digestive biscuit. very small. oh and an egg mayonnaise sandwich. no butter

I beg forgivness o' Great Twig One - in my defence I am still only 5 weeks post-delivery and as instructed by my most wise HV (i.e. the only piece of HV advice I will ever listen to) I can't start until next week.

My inital target remains at 28lbs and I will join you all with vigour and full commitment next week!

Good Luck

bundle · 20/07/2004 18:23

mini cheddars fine, after all they are mini

Fennel · 20/07/2004 19:57

signing in a day late, 33lb to lose but will be happy with 22lb for the moment. can't post what I eat as it would take too long...

mit · 20/07/2004 20:02

Just had the unhealthiest lunch of the year...nothing to eat in the house and dd is napping so can't go out...
Can of Ambrosia creamed rice left over from when I had all my wisdom teeth out a few months ago...dh bought it from the British Store in the hope it would cheer me up. Did manage to counter the enormous carb overload with lots of dry roasted salt free cashews (my favourite)..... uh, oh, things are not looking good for the weigh in next Monday. Today I weigh 145lb.

TheBirch · 20/07/2004 21:08

My small and defenceless brother, The Twig, has asked me to intervene and speak directly to you MIT

There shall be no partaking of the cream of ambrosia and thinking its the carbs that are the problem

Thus Spaketh The Birch

Bend over and I shall spanketh your behind

No matter which continent .. you cannot escape ... duh duh duuuuuuh ... The Birch

Bless me Twig, for I have sinned (already!)...I have partaken of a slab of chocolate cake at lunchtime...what is my punishment (please be kind, I am but a weak vessel)?

Skara · 20/07/2004 22:15

ahem

large bar dairy milk with crispy bits whilst watching Wife Swap and drinking large glass full fat coke.

Think I might have to start tomorrow, today is a write off.

Oink.

mit · 20/07/2004 22:31

I am remorseful beyond belief, I know what I did was wrong. I will endeavour to be a better disciple tomorrow (just had a snack: ryvita & 1% cottage cheese.... have been out to shops now so larder/fridge full of healthy food!).
Please forgive me,
mit x

Chandra · 21/07/2004 00:16

Forgive me Twigglet for I have sinned:

-Went for lunch to a health restaurant and had an unhealthy amount of healthy food. What botters me more is that it was not even good

  • Just tried to convince the dogs to get back into the kitchen for the night using a ham slice as a bait, 3 ham mayonaisse sandwiches later I went out of the kitchen.
