September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

I've stalled. 4lbs in a week is good that that was all in the first few days. Have started tracking in MFP. I need to lose another 3lbs by next Saturday, minumum. 5 would be better but that just won't happen.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/09/2017 10:28

5kbs in 10 days is pretty hardcore primal. What's happening next Saturday?

I've just been to the gym for the first time since my back injury in April. Boop kept WhatsApping me every half hour ( at my request!) until I went.Grin
Did 20 mins of high interval steep walking, couldn't find my usual trainers so had some old ones on that gave me a blister Angry
But I've broken the seal on going back and feel really good now !

TVHubbyClaire · 05/09/2017 13:28

boop office challenge is 10,000 step average from yesterday to 30th September, not off to an auspicious start by any stretch of the imagination Sad Well done on early month loss Smile

Going to walk tonight and try to get 10,000 for day. As it stands so far today I have done 1,227, missed my lunchtime badminton and its 1.30 pm, I hate meetings Sad

PrimalLass · 05/09/2017 13:55

Big night out. 5lb won't happen - that's in my dreams. 3lb I would be super happy with.

HairsprayBabe · 05/09/2017 13:58

Have you tried "shitter tea" primal? Grin

PrimalLass · 05/09/2017 14:08

I might resort to it!

TVHubbyClaire · 05/09/2017 14:52

hairspray / primal - what the heck is that?

leesmum · 05/09/2017 14:54

Omg what does "Shitter tea" consist of?

I'm doing pretty well this week but needed a strict one to get things moving! I do find that going to bed early helps me from snacking at night... which is definitely my downfall Sad

TVHubbyClaire · 05/09/2017 14:59

lees - I think that was what I was asking too Smile

sweet things and desserts are my downfall which means I need to go to bed at 1pm Sad

POFuserred · 05/09/2017 18:21

Thanks for the welcome 😀 was out for tea last night due to son's birthday but did manage to abstain from alcohol however no change this morning. So far I've had a good day today and am planning a nice early night without nibbling as this is my downfall! Hoping that not drinking will stop me from nibbling.

What on earth is shitter tea?

NikiBabe · 05/09/2017 20:26

Had a nice NSV today.

Class teacher at the gym said she noticed I lost even more weight and my waist especially looks like a barbie doll.

"Shitter tea" Grin It's from this epic old Chat thread where a hilarious poster whose name I forget wanted to lose something like 8 Lindas in four days and whipped a whole bunch of MNers into a crash diet frenzy. Not advised and blah blah but it was all in good fun. They were all drinking this stuff called Slimatee which apparently on some people was frighteningly effective.

Fantastic start to the month BOOP, and welcome to you POF - I think we x-posted yesterday and I missed your arrival.

Spurious the build / weight thing is totally a thing! I believe bone structure begets build too, in the sense that pears will tend to have narrower shoulders and wider hips, hourglasses wide shoulders and hips, and crappy apples like me narrow both so the weight sits in a big jiggly tyre around the middle Hmm I'm also of a dainty build, so my goal weight is much lower than it might be for someone else my height, or even shorter, as I carry it so awfully. I also definitely agree about building muscle meaning you can change your shape but stay the same weight, I've heard lots of people attest to it.

QuimReaper · 05/09/2017 20:30

Niki new seasonal name change to NikiBarbie?

("New from Mattel!")

QuimReaper · 05/09/2017 20:53

TV the step thing is pure habit - once you're into it it'll get easier. Do you have a FitBit? They're incredibly addictive. Both BOOP and I and I think some others have found it pretty life-changing - it becomes a sort of compulsion to get 10,000, and if you know you'll be more sedentary on certain days and still want to average on 70K it can get self-competitive.

WetPaint4 · 05/09/2017 20:59

I think I'm going to try and get into this. I have loads and loads to lose but have always thought of it as 140lbs to shift rather than smaller chunks. I'd be well chuffed if I could shift 7lb this month.

NikiBabe · 05/09/2017 21:12

Niki new seasonal name change to NikiBarbie?

Only if you promise not to laugh. 😀

BitOutOfPractice · 05/09/2017 21:16

TV yes yes yes to a Fitbit. I am obsessed always keen to get my 10k steps. In fact I haven't missed my target in over a year As quimmy says, it's totally changed my previously totally sedentary life. Worth a try?

Welcome to you wetpaint. When I started o made a list of all the mini goals o wanted to hit : BMI milestones, stone brackets, dress sizes, fitness goals. And then I ticked them off as I achieved them. Much easier than "oh shit I've got to lose eleventy million stone".

Shitter tea. It was a great thread.

poorpaws · 05/09/2017 22:20

Oh dear, oh dear! I think that says it all for September.

Love my Fitbit TV worth its weight in gold.

CupcakeEater · 05/09/2017 22:42

I am totally up for this, I have been stuck with no weight lost since March and need to kick start it again. I am currently eating no dairy/soya/alcohol and low to no sugar.

androbbob · 05/09/2017 22:45

Slender Is Task Slender is task. ... someone else brought cakes onto office so I obviously ate one. Didn't really enjoy it as a as bland, but finished it. Need to learn to say no. Rest of food ok but just finished today off with two slices of toast. Didn't need them and shouldn't have had them. Oh well tomorrow is another day!

lastqueenofscotland · 05/09/2017 23:14

Nikki do the name change!!

NikiBarbie · 05/09/2017 23:30

Ok. Done.

I now have the barbie girl song in my head. Grin

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2017 07:58

10.7 this morning, but I was thinking I do look slim today.

We went to a Drag show last night with some of the Queens of Ru Paul.

Was really good fun, and spent the whole evening on my feet.

Had a superfood salad and halloumi chips for dinner so kept to low carb, fasted in the day so I think I came in under 800 cals even with the 2 cocktails

Having my first proper fast day of the week, and we have no plans this weekend so focusing on being golden!

Onwards and Downwards Senderistas!
