I just thought I was naturally fat too, I had been 14+ since I left uni.

I am a 10/12 atm, 12 in jeans 10 in most things and a sneeky 8 I bought from new look last week!

I am buying a faux leather jacket from River Island next week... tried on the 10 on Saturday, fit like a dream, I also bought a jumper from Hollister... in a small!

Turns out I was just eating too much!

NikiBabe · 04/09/2017 12:35

You and me both Hairspray.
I think you were very slim in your youth like me?

But I started piling on weight at about 25. I put on even more in my 30s and thought I was just naturally fat too. Forever avoiding skinny jeans, getting wide dresses, etc.

Now I am in 28 inch skinny jeans. I do feel I haven't adjusted to my new size yet. I am still buying size mediums in clothes. Whilst they are ok, they are baggy and I could have taken a small but I assumed I couldnt be that size.

HairsprayBabe · 04/09/2017 13:15

Yep Niki 8st2 until I turned 18, by the time I left uni I was 12st and then gained another 3st on top of that working at Nando's and in cake filled offices!

NikiBabe · 04/09/2017 13:32

Cake filled offices were my downfall. It is so hard to resist.

HairsprayBabe · 04/09/2017 14:31

You are telling me Niki!

Slender is task!

BitOutOfPractice · 04/09/2017 14:33

Slender is task. Slender is task. Slender is task. Slender is task.

Looking good Niki

I was a slim size 10-12, then my thyroid broke and I've been moaning about my weight ever since (20 years).

I have a big night out a week on Saturday and would like to see a good wight loss. V low carb is tough at times but it is v effective as a fast crash diet.

HairsprayBabe · 04/09/2017 14:55

eeeggggsss primal

do the egg thing!

Chardonnay73 · 04/09/2017 16:47

Master Cleanse 😂

POFuserred · 04/09/2017 17:16

Hello please can I join too? I am 5ft 8 and used to weigh nearly 12 stone until I went on the divorce diet last year! I got down to 9 stone 10 which made me feel fantastic.
However since Easter the weight has started to creep back on and I am now 10 stone 5 ggggrrrrrrr!!
This needs to stop right now so I am cutting out drinking alcohol during the week and eating sensibly, with the aim of dropping half a stone by the end of the month.
Good luck and best wishes to everyone 😀

QuimReaper · 04/09/2017 19:21

Hello Slenderistas, and welcome new faces! Lovely to see you back Chard Smile

Good start to the week for me: over 16K steps and a fast day!

lasty how was it at work today? Surely getting smashed is par for the course on a work night out, as long as you didn't insult your boss or spill professional secrets or anything?

NikiBabe · 04/09/2017 19:27

There goes the start of my golden week. Tesco pic n mix.

Fuck.

Oh well I did 45 mins of circuit training.

MozzchopsThirty · 04/09/2017 20:53

So back in work today and it's been so easy to eat well.
Clocked up just 1146 calories in MFP and did my first spin class in 3 weeks

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/09/2017 21:03

Not a bad day, diet wise.

I had a bagel for breakfast (one of the thin ones), my salad for lunch with fruit and a cereal bar and a few 50 cal duck roll things for dinner. Pretty hungry now as it wasn't really a proper dinner.

Non-diet wise it's not a very good day. We've been wondering why our cat is not seeming to be himself recently and the vet looked at him today and told us he's gone blind! I'm really sad for him.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/09/2017 22:40

Aww poor cat Sad

My day has been ok. I'm going to come in under calories (Mr BOOP just making me a little dessert. I was too full after dinner to manage it) and been for a run. Not missed the booze too much - well until every single person on tv tonight has been drinking. Bastards. Don't they know it's dry September?!?!

The scones are down the dogs!

Nikki snap! I am 5 ft 4 and 10 stones. I don't look nearly as good as you though, I am sure your legs are a lot thinner than mine. I also carry quite a lot of weight around the middle but have no boobs now ( always lose weight at the top where I don't want to).

Dr so sorry for your cat, poor little thing.

Had an average day today, could've been better but could've been worse too. Had a lovely long walk on the beach with the dogs which I really enjoyed. Still could do better I feel, still could try harder.

Have a good week everyone.

poorpaws · 04/09/2017 22:56

Sorry Niki I don't know where the extra "K" came from.

NikiBabe · 04/09/2017 23:24

Poorpaws I am quite surprised at my legs at that weight and height. I think they look good.

The first time I hit 10st at this height in my 20s I was chubby.

The only thing I can think of is all the exercise must mean I have more muscle than fat which is leaner and maybe why my legs look better.

I wonder if more muscle tone makes you look smaller at the same weight.

I wish Id done this years ago.

coffeeandrainbows · 05/09/2017 03:49

Semi golden day yesterday (is that a thing?) I stayed within my calorie aim on MFP but I think I really need to look at what I'm eating as well and cut back on the sugar and carbs in favour of some healthier options. I'm hoping that will make me feel better - more energy and glowy skin would be nice.

Niki you look great! I definitely think exercising can reshape your body so you can be a completely different shape at the same weight.

Have a good week everyone!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 05/09/2017 06:07

I agree that exercise can change your shape. You can be exactly the same height and weight as someone else and look totally different. I think it also has a lot to do with general build. I know people scoff when people say they weigh more because they are "big-boned" but I'm convinced it's a real thing. Except I have the opposite problem, I am small-boned, so I have to aim for a lower weight Envy

Welcome POF, sounds like you have a good plan!

I am a pound down this morning. Not sure how, maybe I'm just dehydrated? I'll have to see if it stays off!

HairsprayBabe · 05/09/2017 08:19

Don't know what my calories were for yesterday but not really managing the hardcore bsd i was planning on Hmm bugger my social life!

Fasted all day as I knew we were going out for dinner. Thought we were going to the Harvester but ended up at TGIFridays and they have NO nutritional info available for any of their dishes!!

1 Bramble cocktail
Veggie burger with no bun and salad instead of fries
1/2 an order of onion rings

10.8 this morning so lost a lb.

Also out for dinner tonight... help me Grin

TVHubbyClaire · 05/09/2017 08:55

12st 9 today for meSad

Weekend was going well until Saturday night dinner continued well into Sunday morning

Office Steptember challenge kicked off yesterday which was also a massive fail

BitOutOfPractice · 05/09/2017 10:00

Aww tv That's a shame. What's your office challenge. Come on, you've got this. Just need to get one golden day under your belt and you're off and running.

I've lost 1.5lbs so far in September.
