September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

How often is it everyone weighing?
I weigh every day. 9.12 this morning which is the lightest I've been since my last pregnancy. I didn't have any carbs yesterday which was an interesting experiment... I still felt full which I was quite surprised by.

Got a big party this weekend & am worried about piling it all back on though...

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2017 08:41

I weigh daily Gower

When you say no carbs do you mean no veg/fruit as well or just no starchy carbs?

It is basically impossible for me to do a 0 carb day as I don't eat meat so it would just be a return to the egg diet that I may be considering if I can't shift these last 10lbs soon!

TVHubbyClaire · 06/09/2017 08:51

I do have a Withings watch, step counter thing so I have all the evidence right in front of me on my wrist and an app to tell me how badly I'm doing. I seem to spend up to 6 hours a day in meeting rooms and most are over lunch so no chance to walk at lunchtime. will try to do more today at lunch and the evening. I'm around 7,000 total for two days so I need 13,000 a day between now and Sunday Hmm

I totally get what you ladies are saying about getting started and self challenging, I actually did start well with the watch at the start of the year which co-incided with me joining this board and losing weight. Need to get my ass in gear Angry

Oh and 12st 8 1/2 today so the weight loss is stalling too Sad

HappyGowerGirl · 06/09/2017 09:03

Oh no Hair I did eat lots of veg😳 I just meant no bread, pasta, rice etc... I think if I actually at 0 grams of carbs (no fruit etc) I would faint!!!

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 09:04

I weigh every day and at night. Stayed the same today but had to make a new hole in my belt.

B: flax muffin, strawberriess and cream, 2 x coffee
L: probably poached eggs and bacon
D: roast chicken done with Mexican spices, and veg chilli (no rice for me)

Thanks to re-reading the shitter tea thread, I now have a double-strength cup of the Pukka detox tea, waiting to cool.

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 09:08

HairsprayBabe I've just realised you told me to do the eggs thing. I may well do, next week. Will see if I can face it.

HappyGowerGirl · 06/09/2017 09:22

Is pukka detox the shitter tea? I have some of that in the cupboard😂

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 09:24

I think the original one was something like Slimmatea. But I've got the Pukka so am going for it. Low carb bungs you up!

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2017 09:28

BooTea is also effective as a shitter brew

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 09:32

Excellent. This is evolving into shitter tea 2.0. Love it.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/09/2017 09:38

Morning all! Fast day for me today. I have boiled eggs for lunch (my colleagues love me!) and my fallback Moroccan chickpea tagine thing for dinner. Should come in at about 460 calories. Ooh and I cycled to work this morning!

Happy I normally weigh once a week, on a Friday.

QuimReaper · 06/09/2017 09:49

TV 23,000 day, not 13,000, presuming you want to hit 10K as well as make up for the other two Wink

Primal terrific NSV on the belt hole, that must be a real boost!

Gower I always have loads of veg on low-carb too, it's just fruit I watch, and I avoid the sneaky fuckers like sweetcorn. I don't know why it surprised me how carby it was when the clue's literally in the name, but I'll never soon forget brewing a huge porridge pot of chicken & sweetcorn soup for my virtuous "low carb lunches" and realising I'd made a bit of a boob...

QuimReaper · 06/09/2017 09:54

I should really start using chickpeas more.

Gower I weigh once a week, when I get round to it Blush Normally on a Friday morning but I use the Boots BMI machines and it can be a right shag, so I might just chill out tomorrow and weigh as soon as I can, rather than run around like a headless chicken on Friday trying to squeeze in a weigh-in.

NikiBarbie · 06/09/2017 10:10

The scales appear to be decisively below 10st again. I hope they dont bounce up again.

HairsprayBabe · 06/09/2017 10:19

Excellent work Niki Love the NC btw!

Quimmy yes do get on the chickpea wagon, they are one of my hero foods along with eggs!

Also due to my veg box I am very much into cabbage and kohlrabi!

TVHubbyClaire · 06/09/2017 11:03

hairspray your night out sounds fun Smile

quim - fortunately the week is Mon - Sun and so my average isn' t quite that scary....yet Hmm

primal - fab NSV. I too am just about using a new belt hole, its an old belt that sat in a cupboard for years but I have started using it for work again. I am almost "comfortably" back to using the same hole I was in 2002.

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 11:08

Well done Nicki. If mine ever got below 11 I would be so happy.

NikiBarbie · 06/09/2017 12:05

primallass it will happen. At the end of January I was 11st4lbs.

You just have to keep plugging away. It is so very boring to diet but I am happy with the results.

lastqueenofscotland · 06/09/2017 13:05

Still not that light but looking ok. Fallout of my drinking thing is everyone thinks I had my drink spiked which makes sense so everyone has instead been nice rather than furious.
Still embarrassed. Blush
Off for a run.

ponygirlcurtis · 06/09/2017 13:53

That's shocking that you think it might have been spiked, last. Poor you. Glad your colleagues have been supportive.

TV I have a reasonably active job and I struggled to reach 10k in a normal day without actively 'going for a walk'. I set my steps target lower than 10k and I found it actually encouraged me to do more.

Well done on the NSV, Primal. Halo

QuimReaper · 06/09/2017 14:30

lasty Do you think you were spiked? I know the Next Day Paranoia well but I really doubt it was all that bad!

TV sorry, I misread that - I thought you said you needed one 13,000 day to make it up! I agree with pony, I very seldom just get 10K by doing stuff; it's only ever really happened at weddings, or when I've had an active-ish day and then been out all evening as well. On the other hand I'm often surprised by my step count after just running a few errands that didn't feel very active or time consuming.

HappyGowerGirl · 06/09/2017 16:55

last I really hope your drink wasn't spiked! That must be an awful feeling!

Nice work on the weightloss Niki👍

BitOutOfPractice · 06/09/2017 20:26

Hello Slenderistas! How's your day been? Mine had been successful calorie wise. Did weights at the gym this morning but ran out of time for a run. Been super busy all day and got my steps anyway so I'm giving it a miss tomorrow and go tomorrow now.

Just making halloumi burgers for the kids. Must. Not. Eat. Halloumi!

coffeeandrainbows · 06/09/2017 21:38

13.12 today so up 2 which is disappointing but did have Thai takeaway last night so hopefully will still see a loss this week.

last that's such a terrible feeling but good that your colleagues are being so nice. I hope your drink wasn't spiked!!

Great NSV primal and being in the 9s Niki

BOOP halloumi is so dangerous! I could easily eat slice after slice of that salty delicious stuff Grin

poorpaws · 06/09/2017 21:43

I've got a cold! You know at the beginning when you don't sound as if you've got a cold but your limbs are heavy and you've got no energy, well that's me today. Feeling very sorry for myself and not wanting to care what I eat or what I don't eat.
