September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

I believe I have relocated the zone 10.2 -4lbs for the month and so close to the 9s I cab almost taste it!

Hopefully as I am only eating meals this weekend and I won't have the oppertunity to nibble and pick I won't see too much of a gain... in theory

KikisDeliveryService · 16/09/2017 09:28

Dry and sugar free week here, despite socialising. Lots of exercise too and injury issues have diminished to almost non-existent. I am happy.

Scales are showing far higher numbers than I'm happy with so only keeping a half eye on them for fear of being demoralised. I know this is a weight shedding thread but I'm focussed on increasing fitness which tends to reduce my size in a way the numbers on the scale don't reflect and I know it doesn't do me much good to obsess over the scale numbers.

thismeansnothing · 16/09/2017 12:47

Totally get that kiki . When I'm in full on gym mode I get to a certain point (normally mid 70's) then I totally ignore the scales and go off waist thigh n bicep circumference. Otherwise I end up getting really frustrated as the scale numbers aren't going down but other measures are. Keeps me right on track

QuimReaper · 16/09/2017 12:56

I'VE LOST 800g SINCE THURSDAY!

Two Lindas down!

Grin
NikiBabe · 16/09/2017 13:05

It is totally true kiki. If i had lost the weight without going to the gym I think I would bigger than this.

You can look leaner but not see it on the scale as you build muscle.

QuimReaper · 16/09/2017 13:25

Ahem. Great timed post there from me, with everyone talking about measurements not weights Grin

I entirely agree, it's a much better approach than scales, and considerably healthier. I also think it's more tangible: weight can rocket and plummet for all sorts of invisible and incomprehensible reasons, but generally speaking, you know what's going on with size: if you overeat you'll bloat, but other than that it seems like a much more stable barometer.

leesmum · 16/09/2017 19:26

StarStar Quim StarStar well done

Softpebbles · 16/09/2017 19:43

Well done Quim and Hairspray.

I am just a snackaholic here. Period imminent so blaming that even though I know its also my lack of willpower. X

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 16/09/2017 20:08

I agree, your weight can go up and down for so many different reasons, and it's just one of the ways of tracking your body mass.

Having said that, well done Quim!

thismeansnothing · 16/09/2017 21:08

Just come back from watching the ice hockey. We normally have yummy hot chocolates after the second period. They are lovely when it's so cold. I stuck to a herbal tea 😪 think I'd rather have stayed cold 🤣 12,000 steps in cos went for a 50 min walk while DD had her dance lessons. Here's to another golden day

ponygirlcurtis · 17/09/2017 10:20

Good going this. Smile And well done Quim! Halo

My weight is like a yo-yo - can be as much as a 3lb difference day-to-day. That's why I like to weigh daily - I know it bounces so I view every weight with a pinch of salt. If I weighed weekly and it was a day where it had bounced higher for one day, I think I would take it hard.

QuimReaper · 17/09/2017 10:42

this I misread that for a moment as a 50 MILE walk! Shock Excellent job on the chocolatey restraint, gold star for you Star

HappyGowerGirl · 17/09/2017 11:14

Been away from home so haven't been able to weigh myself for a few days... Been eating out for every meal as well, though I've tried to make sensible choices (so hard when eating out!) and also skipped a few meals when not hungry.

Let's see what the scales say tomorrow morning...

poorpaws · 17/09/2017 21:57

I've still got this chest infection, had it two weeks now and it's very difficult to eat sensibly when I feel this bad and sound as if im a 50 a day smoker. I'll try again tomorrow. You lot are being Golden.

Hope everyone has a good week next week.

HappyGowerGirl · 18/09/2017 06:37

Oh no poor paws that sounds rough, hope you feel better soon!

Well done to all the people who've been Golden gold star

I'm 9.8! One Linda down over the weekend! Very happy with that.

thismeansnothing · 18/09/2017 07:21

First weigh in 1.5kg down. Very happy with that 😃

HairsprayBabe · 18/09/2017 08:04

10.6 I may have gone slightly overboard this weekend.

But most of that is probably bloat and should be kicked by a few golden days.

Spending next weekend at my parents so nothing too taxing there, also hotel and spa were lovely and it was romantic, but not very romantic sorry for the disappointment!

Also I did go to the gym, but I didn't really know what I was doing so felt in a bit of a flap. I did pick up a 30kg weight - it was bloody heavy and nice to see how much I have lost physically!

QuimReaper · 18/09/2017 09:01

Woah Happy, you lost 1 Linda on a weekend away? That's incredible, well done! And amazing loss to you too this, everyone's on fire!

Poor you paws, that sounds awful - I find the worst thing about chesty stuff is how badly it affects your sleep, which leaves you gasping for energy. I'm a firm believer that when you're sick you should give your body what it's asking for, and it's the one time when your body probably really is sincerely asking for easily-digestible comforting energy foods like bread and mashed potatoes. Feel better Flowers

Hairspray he's being a right slippery one isn't he Grin My friend's husband did the same thing, there were three occasions - an anniversary, a birthday and a really romantic holiday - which had us all flapping around, but he didn't go for the obvious bait. Afterwards I asked him about it and he said "well I wasn't going to do something obvious was I, I knew everyone was waiting for the call" Grin

TVHubbyClaire · 18/09/2017 12:40

hairspray - glad you ahd a lovely time and i agree with quim that nobody wants to be too predictable ( says I who proposed on a christmas morning) Blush

My weekend wasnt too bad and I did walk more than 10,000 steps each day. Weighed in this morning at 12st 7 1/2 which was not too disappointing. I am hopeful that my days around 12st 10 may be in the past and now i want to get below 12st 5 Hmm

Away from home this week again so no scales Sad. I am hoping to continue with early start walking, then a decent egg breakfast and as golden as possible for rest of the days with a walk after work in the evenings

hope you are feeling a bit better today[paws]

thismeansnothing · 18/09/2017 13:15

Great to hear you enjoyed the spar hairspray (wishes my DH would think to plan something like that) and 30kg! Bet lifting that felt great, really good to see physically what you've achieved.

I'm on 12,500 steps already. Did an hour in the gym before my walking football group. We had odd numbers so I stepped up and played. 😲 omg how knackering and we only played 10 min games! So much fun though 🤣

NikiBabe · 18/09/2017 13:28

Im not weighing for a while as im due a d my pt says that you can put on up to 6lbs because of it. Trying to keep up with the gym though

QuimReaper · 18/09/2017 14:29

I'VE LOST ANOTHER TWO LINDAS!!!!!

Smashed past my Lowest Ever Weight by 500g!

I'm still in shock! Grin

HappyGowerGirl · 18/09/2017 14:50

Amazing work Quim!!!! You must be feeling awesome

QuimReaper · 18/09/2017 15:10

I am indeed! Thank you! Grin

On a completely unrelated note, I'm wearing tights for the first time since Spring and I've just remembered another thing I love about Autumn: tights with sucky-inny waists! Genius invention. Pretty Polly used to do flesh-coloured ones for warmer months but they discontinued them for some reason.

TVHubbyClaire · 18/09/2017 15:58

well done quim thats fantastic, You must be really pleased and that more than makes up for some of the boring bits you mentioned last week Smile

Totally with you on Autumn clothes too!
