September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

Doing really well if I do say so myself! Just seem to have finally got my head back in the game and not snacking all the time.

I had a lovely day out with a friend yesterday, but I consumed a lot of calories mainly alcohol. Thought I might trough non-stop today due to hangover munchies but I have actually been fine and been keeping busy with housework and more Ikea flatpack building.

Trying to get sorted meal-wise for the week ahead - doing a beef stew in the slow cooker and going to cook some salmon for lunches as a change from roast chicken.

poorpaws · 10/09/2017 22:17

Well I didn't think it was possible but it looks as though I've gained 5 1/2 pounds while I've been ill. Admittedly I've done a lot less steps and a lot more eating but 5 1/2 bloody pounds! Is it even possible? Still got a hacking cough and still feel terrible so it could go up to a stone I suppose. I am the dunce of the class.

Well done everyone else.

pumpkin321 · 11/09/2017 07:16

Morning ladies, I'd like to join please. I lost 12kg with SlimmingWorld after my second dd who is now 2yrs. My goal was 74kg but I only got to 76kg..........since then it's snuck up to 78.5kg. I've done two weeks doing mfp and feel so much better for it! I've reduced portion sizes and feeling less bloated. Lost 1kg and and inch on my waist.........however went out for a boozy lunch at the weekend and that 1kg has gone back on! But hoping it's just water retention. Been reading though your posts and they've given me lots of inspiration and some good giggles Smile

pumpkin321 · 11/09/2017 07:19

Meant to say, I'm 5ft8......I'm hourglass and fairly broad shape, my clothes are comfy size 12. I don't really have any urge to be a size 10, but keen to lose a bit and feel healthier/more confident......tempted to get a fit bit.

HappyGowerGirl · 11/09/2017 07:51

Welcome pumpkin.

Hey poorpaws, sucks that you've been ill! Don't stress about the gain too much, our bodies do weird shit when we're ill, I always feel a bit puffy and bloated too when unwell. Hopefully it'll come off as you start to feel better.

Well, as expected I did fall off the (cheese) wagon this weekend! I had a big party which lots and lots of good food and booze. I didn't restrict myself HOWEVER I didn't go crazy and gorge myself neither. I at what I wanted and stopped when I was full... Then yesterday I was pretty golden again.

Weighed in at 9.11 this morning which is slightly heavier then Friday but still around 2-3lb down from last Monday, when I joined this thread weighing 10 stone exactly. So altogether it was a good week. Hoping for another good week!

HairsprayBabe · 11/09/2017 08:05

Happy happy Monday all,

Why are you in such a good mood Hairspray I hear you ask....

10.6 no weekend gain - and lowest Monday weight since I began, admittedly that still puts me on a sts for the month but I have 5 more days till the weekend so I am crossing everything for a sub 10.4 moment!

It is our anniversary next weekend, 6 years, DP says he has a top secret surprise lined up......

TVHubbyClaire · 11/09/2017 09:05

well done on a good Monday Hairspray and sounds like next weekend will be lovely. Smile

I got my steps in at the weekend and finished with 69,000 for week having crammed in a few walks on Thur, Fri and Sat.

paws - I think (from experience) that 5 Lindas will go pretty quickly once you get back on your feet. Don't panic just yet....Smile

I have concluded that 10k steps a day is nigh on impossible in my job without dedicating at least an hour and a half for walking which isn't sustainable. This week and for next few weeks I am working away for 2nd half of the week and will try a couple of evening walks but I'm not optimistic....Hmm

Morning weigh in was 12st 8 1/2 which wasnt too bad for a Monday

I need a breakfast, lunch dinner strategy for early morning starts and hotel breakfast and dinners. Thinking I could have poached eggs (with or wothout toast and sausage...Hmm) in the morning at hotel and largely miss out lunch and try for salads in evenings. Advice would be very welcome

lastqueenofscotland · 11/09/2017 09:54

Ooo hairspray that sounds exciting!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 11/09/2017 11:28

Happy this thread seems to be working its magic for you!

Hairspray that all sounds very positive and exciting! Good times!

TV I think 10,000 steps is possible in any job. Mine is the most sedentary job ever and I manage it. Some ideas that I use to get my setsp up: parking a bit further away from work and walking the last 15 minutes. Then you'll have to walk back to fetch it after work. Get up and walk round the office / block every hour. Just 5 minutes will do it. Walk to the supermarket for lunch. Every morning have a think: when can I fit in half an hour today - then plan that into your diary and fit other stuff around that, rather than trying to fit a walk around everything else. Put it in your diary if necessary. If I'm making something for dinner that needs say, half an hour in the oven, I put it in and go for a walk. It is possible, I'm sure of it.

I've had 2 men mansplain stuff to me today so I thought I'd get a bit of revenge by womansplaining to you! Wink

TVHubbyClaire · 11/09/2017 11:36

BOOP - thank you, I understand the thinking, parking differently and local shopping are a bit out given office location as not really any alternative parking but I guess I need to change my approach and try to find half hours here and there for a bit of walking.

I actually quite enjoy when I'm doing it apart from lunchtime at work because the area around office is totally uninspiring.
Will try and get out along the beachfront in Yarmouth this week Smile

I'm not doing it KOKO but I actually quite like eggs and your meals sound great Smile

HairsprayBabe · 11/09/2017 11:56

Not me this time KOKO we are having potatoless bubble and squeak with the leftover veggies from last night's roast dinner.

Also mashed celeriac is a life changing revelation! I suggest you buy stocks in celeriac because I will be purchasing large amounts regularly!

BitOutOfPractice · 11/09/2017 12:15

I LOVE celeriac mash. It's lush.

I had baked oats for breakfast. First time in my whole life I've enjoyed oats

OP posts:
HairsprayBabe · 11/09/2017 12:54

How did you have them BOOP baked and dry? or do you do something to them afterwards?

I like oats anyway so this could have dangerous ramifications for me Grin

PrimalLass · 11/09/2017 14:53

I was doing a sort-of egg fast but fell off the wagon as I had a tummy bug.

'Eeeello-'ello-'ello Slenderistas!

NSV this weekend - we had a party and one guest said "wow, you've lost so much weigh!" She hasn't seen me in ages and I can't be more than half a stone lighter than I was then, but I was thrilled, especially as she is a bit of a "thinspiration" for me Grin

Golden Sprint starts today, I've kicked it off with about 13K steps and am mid-fast day. I'm really pleased to be doing it when I'm not feeling hugely fat at the beginning: every other time it's been an emergency damage-control thing to get me back to Square One, this time I can actually sprint for the finish line - keep your fingers crossed for me, in 10 days I may be at goal weight! Shock

So sorry to hear you've been unwell pony, and as the other have said, don't panic: I always feel bloated after being ill too, it messes with your fluids and all sorts.

Terrific work getting 69K steps TV, that was very close after a slow start! I'm with BOOP on the walking lecture Wink It took me ages to think of my 10K steps as a lifestyle thing rather than a huge uphill struggle (and that's with me having weekends off), it may involve quite a lot of adjustment but they'll be very positive changes.

koko I'm a bit nostalgic for the egg fast Grin Are you having oatbran?

NikiBarbie · 11/09/2017 16:14

No change today in weight.

Got rained on torrentially on my bike and didnt get that job.
