mama welcome and thank you for reminding me of that bmi website wanted to do it when it was mentioned first and then forgot.
Mine says my true weight is my actual goal weight so I guess no giving up for me now I'm getting near.
I'm just so over it though. Barely moved this weekend I'm always so exhausted by the weekends. I've just got not motivation, not in a good place at the moment and not sure how to get myself out of it.
Have been eating crap over the weekend which then makes me feel even worse.
Will try and get my earring back on track for this week though.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Smarshian · 09/07/2017 20:17

Had a good day today. Plenty of walking and fruit and veg. Tried on my outfit for the wedding I'm going to and feel ok in it, would just like it if I could lose a little bit off my belly so the skirt sits better. Had a small bit of dark choc this evening but resisted the rest of the bar.
Sorry you're not feeling so good Squiffy. Tomorrow is a new day! Don't beat yourself up over the weekend.
How's everyone else feeling?

Howlongtillbedtime · 10/07/2017 07:04

Morning all.

I weighed myself on friday and i had lost 3 pounds , weighed myself this morning and i have put 2 back on over the weekend Blush

I really need to learn to behave better . It is all good fun but it is not helping the lard shifting.

I will have a golden day today. Good food and a gym visit .

Hope you have all had a more productive weekend than me!

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 07:59

Another Linda has fucked off this weekend so 143 this morning.

Smarshian · 10/07/2017 07:59

Weighed in today at 11st 3, so down one Linda. Need to get some new scales though as mine are hard to read. Going to try to get some digital scales today.
Granola, fat free yogurt and blueberries for brekkie, soup for lunch, butternut squash and tofu curry for tea, snack on fruit and nuts.
What's everyone else's plan for the day?

HairsprayBabe · 10/07/2017 08:09

Fell off the wagon majorly, had a surprise visit from my Irish grandmother who proclaimed I am wasting away and proceeded to stuff all the carbs known to man down my neck....

10.11 I am going on holiday in 3 weeks! HELP!

Hopefully two fast days and the rest of the week golden will see it off, but again I think I will be struggling for any loss at all this month....

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 08:38

Hairspray don't panic! Remember the first time you stepped on the scale and saw that number I bet you were delighted?!

TVHubbyClaire · 10/07/2017 09:07

Well I was good and bad in equal measures this weekend so no surprise to have yo-yo-ed back to 12st 10.

This next 5 lindas are proving nigh on impossible to shiftSad

Planning a very low calorie day today and a walk tonight and am going to try hard for a week of no desserts. Nespresso and a piece of dark chocolate it will beHmm

ponygirlcurtis · 10/07/2017 09:23

Hello lovely slenderistas! I have been firmly off the wagon for a while now and I have been mostly treading water at around 4-6lbs off my first goal weight. Now I am back from holiday with a few extra lindas to add to that! But I have a plan.

After cancelling my membership to the gym at the end of last year because I had no free time to go, I am rejoining tomorrow. This time last year I could manage 6km, doubt I could do 600m right now but I know I can build it back up now I can go regularly again. And I start logging on MFP from today. Looking forward to jumping back on the wagon with you all. Smile

QuimReaper · 10/07/2017 10:07

Hello Macaroon, welcome to The Best Thread on Mumsnetâ„¢! Lovely to have new faces. BOOP has lost by using MFP, I think she sticks to 1200 a day. I used to find LC quite easy to adapt for DH, I'd just have the meal and add a carb element for him - keeping off the carbs myself was much harder Blush But I suppose it can be a bit restrictive as you end up only being able to eat protein-based meals, you can't really de-carb a pizza or pasta. Which is jolly virtuous but your DH might not be too impressed! Is he trying to lose weight as well?

Welcome back pony! You sound full of positivity, the gym membership will fill you with resolve, I'm sure.

Hairspray it'll be an easy-on easy-off I'm sure. Your nana sounds like my kind of lady though Grin

TV is the wife with you on the desserts drive?

TVHubbyClaire · 10/07/2017 11:20

quim - yes, she doesnt have desserts anyway and is on a weight loss wagon too ahead of holidays.Smile

I am not force fed them, unfortunately, my willpower always fails and I end up asking for somethingBlush

However i did say this morning no desserts at all this week!!

HairsprayBabe · 10/07/2017 12:37

She is fab my grandma, both of them actually, and they both make the best comfort food, home made scones, proper irish soda bread, quiche to die for, lemon meringue pie, coffee and walnut cake, carb-tastic!

And I absolutely cannot say no to either of them! Fortunately they still do "ladies" portions, my brother got about 7 bucket loads of food, that he polished of happily, same with DP.... ah to have metabolism of a young man

ponygirlcurtis · 10/07/2017 12:37

Quim your brain farts thread reduced me to tears - I laughed so much I was crying and tipped over the edge into actually sobbing! Grin (Is it just me that happens to?)

Hairspray I had an Irish MIL (now sadly departed), she was like that. I used to count how many different carbs were on the table - up to 6 frequently! It's hard to resist. Smile

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 13:00

Soda bread with half inch thick salted butter would be my death row meal

HairsprayBabe · 10/07/2017 13:10

Ah yes they lived with us for two years from when I was 17 I shall never forget the carb fest that was Christmas 2009 three types of potato - boiled, roast and mashed, two types of bread - irish soda and white rolls, and 7 different puddings, it's like they were trying to out carb each other! Amazing!

Love all my grandparents dearly, I am very fortunate to still have all 4 living and healthy, and they are all totally mad! My maternal grandmother especially Grin she was married with three kids before she was 21, and buys the weirdest christmas gifts, didgeridoo anyone?

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 13:47

I've downloaded the lose it app and it's way better laid out than MFP. Big fan. Less weird articles too

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 18:56

1200 cals (including dinner I've not yet had) already done 10000 steps, just watching Nadal then I'll go for a 5k plod.

QuimReaper · 10/07/2017 20:34

pony Grin I was pretty chuffed it ended up in Classics - the bellend finished me off! Grin

Not a bad day food wise and 15K steps, but I feel awful. Slept really badly, covered in heat rash and sore throat, and been really weepy Sad

ponygirlcurtis · 10/07/2017 21:31

What's Lose it, last? Not heard of that one. Is it like MFP then?

Ah that sucks Quim. Not surprised you are maybe feeling a bit weepy, with your dad's memorial only just past it's bound to make you feel emotional. Be kind to yourself.

I have been attempting to be really focused on LCHF eating today in attempts to jump back on that wagon, but it's been a while since I have been this focused and it was haaaaaaaard. I thought about food and eating all day and was really hungry. I know I will get back into the swing and lose the hunger/snacking cravings - it's just bad habits I have fallen into - but it was quite an eye-opener. Also I have been trying hard to drink lots of water so I have been peeing all day, which again has shown me that not paying attention to my liquid intake has probably meant it's really dropped. Tomorrow is gym day though which has helped keep me focused.

lastqueenofscotland · 10/07/2017 21:36

It's like MFP but imo better laid out Smile

leesmum · 10/07/2017 21:42

Well done you lot, lots of Linda's off for a few of you, keep it up!!
Quim have you got any antihistamine for that heat rash? It's something I get and it's bloody horrible, you might be a bit run down. Hugs 😘
Hi Macaroon you'll get loads of fab advice on here and a few laughs along the way Flowers
Been for a 5k run tonight but took myself to bed so that I don't blow it by scoffing everything in sight, I'll wake up starving in the morning too, think I'll have a boiled egg on a slice of toast with brown sauce Smile
The DS's finish school next Thursday and I'm dreading it because I seem to eat far too much when it's School holiday time Sad

MacaroonMama · 10/07/2017 23:02

Hi All,
Thanks for all the waves/greetings, and all the mentions of yummy dribbly bready cakey carbs, mmmmm, carbs... I love making soda bread for my children! I then have to leave the house while the skinny malinkis butter it and scoff it. Sigh.

Thank you Quim for replying about MFP and Last Queen too - I must look up the Lose It app then.

I had a good day of veg, olive oil, cheese, nuts, salad and coffee. And water. And a teaspoon of hummus. I know hardcore LCHF says to take care with cheese/nuts but I love them. And if I can't eat cake...

Wanted to Shred but we have just taken down living room curtains in eager anticipation of blinds, and I didn't want the whole street watching me pant and flail and swear at the wonderful hateful Shred woman... so didn't. Walked about 14,000 steps today though so that is good.

What are your anti-stuff your face cures, Slenderistas? The Beck Diet recommends listing reasons on index cards and having them in your purse/bag etc. I always meant to do this but never got round to it.

Good luck for tomorrow! May your water be ice-cold and your footsteps light and breezy!

MacaroonMama · 10/07/2017 23:04

Oooh just checked my phone and I walked 19,217 steps actually! I may walk up and down the stairs a lot to get to 20,000, then go to bed.

Smarshian · 11/07/2017 06:09

Macaroon 20k steps is amazing! I got on the scales this morning and down to 11st 2! Very pleased- with my progress so far. Have a good day all, I'm meeting a friend at a waffle cafe and will try to resist the waffles myself.

Squiffy01 · 11/07/2017 07:12

smarsh if you can resist waffles at a waffle cafe I will be hugely impressed!!!
