Hairspray that's rubbish Sad

I'm having a horror day at work too. I've been here since 7 and only just stopped for a pee.
Trade off is have had no time to raid the kitchen for food.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/07/2017 15:18

Oh hairspray that's a bloody shame. I can imagine how you feel. I've had a shit day too.

Soapy everyone will roll their eyes when I say this as they know my love for the Hairy Dieters, but they have a book called Fast Food. Lots of great quick recipes.

Correct me if I'm wrong slenderistas. But they biscuits you have after you give bloody have no calories at all, right? Just to make sure Wink

Think of all the weight of the blood you have lost Boop.

One or two biccies won't void that! Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 18/07/2017 16:22

I've not given yet, just waiting to be called through. Just wanted to get the biscuits sanctioned by the Slenderistas Grin

SoapyChoc · 18/07/2017 16:53

Thanks Boop I'll check that out. When I was last losing weight a few years ago if I had donated blood I always had an extra big loss despite biscuits Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 18/07/2017 17:25

Today I turned down the most amazing looking lemon drizzle cake. By rights I should be a stone lighter tomorrow... right?!?

BitOutOfPractice · 18/07/2017 18:22

If there was any justice at all Lasty

I'm on a course this week and trying to avoid all biscuit temptations. 12st 9 this morning so absolutely no improvement from me eitherSad

Don't let the bas*ds get you down hairspray

Softpebbles · 18/07/2017 19:15

That sounds shitty Hairspray.

Well done Niki sorry on the job front.

On holiday. Aiming for damage limitation have my running gear but it's too hot for my liking at the moment!

BOOP quickly on quickly off hopefully! X

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/07/2017 19:26

Hairspray Flowers that is shit, sorry. If it helps, I had a crap day too. I ended up crying in the loos at work by lunchtime and have been seriously questioning why I ever wanted to do this job. On the plus side, I have been so busy running around that I successfully stuck to my fast day calories

I also have a thumping headache and would like nothing more than to curl up in bed, but I still have a ton of work to do. Grump grump grump.

There is half a tub of Ben and Jerry's in the fridge but I am trying to resisted polishing it off because I know I will then feel fat, as well as crap.

leesmum · 18/07/2017 22:19

Hairspray that's shit....hope there's something much better for you in the pipeline X

Well I'm on the Sloe Gin...cheers Ladies Wine

NikiBabe · 19/07/2017 03:53

I've been dealing with alot lately. Have had to give up my place and go back to my mums. So I feel a bit pathetic. No luck on the job front and am not eligible for any benefits at all so I would have spent all my savings if I'd stayed were I was. I am having to use my bike all the time as my mums place is further out of the town than mine was: we lived fairly close anyway. You need to get a bus to town / gym though and buses would cost £90 a month so I use my bike to save money.

I got caught in the rain the other day though and skidded and nearly came off. So sheltered under a tree feeling a bit sorry for myself and wondering how my life came to hiding under a tree in the rain as I couldn't' afford a bus fare.

I have a total non life. I cant remember the last time I went out for drinks or dinner and now have to watch every penny. Lost a load of weight but not that anyone notices or cares. So I am this age, no home, no partner, no children, no nothing and I really don't see the point of this now. I am getting too old to be able to do anything in life that I wanted.

Anyway rant over.

Will all the slip ups dont worry. I went through about 2-3 months where I lost and regained the same amount of weight and now it is finally going down again. It is probably just a phase, we all have them.

lastqueenofscotland · 19/07/2017 06:36

Niki there is no harm in some time out from it all.

144 this morning. Glad it seems to be the quick on quick off sort!

Niki sorry things are so shit Flowers

Ooh an egg fast Keepon, I am kind of tempted to try one after you all did so well last time. I quite like eggs though, and I am worried I would never be able to look at one again after three days Grin

Sorry for venting on the thread yesterday, I just had a shit day. Feeling better today though, helped by the fact that I have lost 2 of the 6lbs I'd put on!

HairsprayBabe · 19/07/2017 08:16

That sounds rubbish Niki Flowers you have had it tough recently.

10.9 so going down slowly, hoping if I keep to goldeness Friday and Saturday I should be back on track.

MIL has just announced she is taking me and DP on a surprise visit to Cardiff to visit BIL, very kind of her as she is paying for the whole lot. But it means three days in Cardiff a week before my holiday that I had not scheduled in, so I am not as thrilled as I could be. We are off on Sunday morning and will be back Wednesday lunchtime, so I should be able to get in a fast day on Wednesday that might mitigate any damage.

Will avoid carbs, not drink and probably do some sort of 16:8 even though hotel breakfasts are the bomb.

TVHubbyClaire · 19/07/2017 09:07

niki, I do hope things start to pick up soon for you. Nothing wrong with time back at mum's whilst other things take time to sort.
hairspray when is your holiday and where are you going.....mine is 5th August and I'm pretty sure I wont be at my healthy BMI by that time....
On a positive note I dipped to 12st 7 3/4 this morning, god I would love to shed 3 or 4 lindas in the next week
I have been doing this all year and DW started with a diet programme 3 weeks ago and has lost 11 lindas so far......

ponygirlcurtis · 19/07/2017 09:54

Morning everyone.

Flowers Niki. Hope things start looking up soon.

That just sucks Hairspray (about the job, but also about having to watch food on a lovely minibreak). Has there been any feedback on your interview?

Good going TV - and remember your wife is just starting so it's maybe easier to be more focused.

I am still going in the wrong direction but had a glorious day on the Isle of Arran yesterday, seeing friends who are holidaying there, eating far too much. Some lovely walking in the sunshine too but not enough to mitigate. Ah well, struggling to regret it as it was a great day. Smile Gym today and onwards from there.

I think omelettes were the way forward when I did the egg fast, didnt feel like I was only eating eggs! Especially if I blitzed some cream cheese in, made it more like a crepe.

I also allowed myself tabasco and a little mustard if I felt I was going mad from the flavor of eggs!

It was May koko, w/c 22nd. It was the only time I've seen a proper loss since my holiday so I'm sure you'll do brilliantly!

Soapy frittata is my go-to! I chop the whole chiller drawer and toss it in a skillet, then put it in a pie dish, cover it in grated cheese, sprinkle feta (obviously optional), then pour whisked eggs over it and bung it in the oven. I guess you could just use those egg whites you get in cartons if you wanted. It's very low-cal and healthy and generally keeps travels well for lunches. I usually make one a week to use up the veg which is looking a bit sad.

BOOP the biscuits definitely don't count Grin You've just reminded me I tried to donate blood way back in the winter and was turned away, I really must re-schedule.

TV great that you're almost back at target - keep at it, a fast day should kick that 3/4 of a Linda into touch! How much have you lost now? And I've said this before, but remember when you first joined us and said you thought 12 7 might not be achievable? Look at you now! What diet's the wife following? Sounds very effective. Although as pony says the weight can drop off much more quickly when you're starting out, and she probably hasn't got The Fatigue yet...

I'm doing a mega-fast today to try and claw back some of yesterday's indulgences. We went to a tapas place, one of those ones where you load up a plate and pay for the "sticks", and I went back for seconds Blush

QuimReaper · 19/07/2017 11:41

Hairspray so sorry about the job, that sounds really rough Flowers I hate it when diet plans are scuppered too (or potentially scuppered). I'm always saying this but try not to sweat it and let it ruin your lovely break, it's much more important to be able to have a lovely memory (and not one of being stressed or grumpy!).

Good luck on resisting the hotel breakfasts though Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 19/07/2017 11:52

Hairspray you've done so well a mini break and a wee holiday won't hurt too much im sure. I can't resist a hotel breakfast. Grin

HairsprayBabe · 19/07/2017 12:15

I know and that is the risk lasty I am in danger of going oh well im nearly there fuck it and then having to start again with the whole thing, I finished January on 11.7 and I have been struggling with this last stone ever since!
