You pulled a blinder TV, excellent achievement!

BitOutOfPractice · 13/07/2017 16:07

Oh I'm sorry to barge in but I just have to say that I have just run 5km in under 30 minutes for the first time in 13 years. There is life after 50!

As you were Grin

Bloody hellfire BOOP - that is fantastic! Star

Quim it seems disheartening sometimes but I wouldn't worry too much right now - it's never linear and sometimes plateaus or small fluctuations can have little rhyme or reason to us. Keep at it.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/07/2017 17:21

Quimster I agree. That's just a blip. Sometimes there's no bloody rhyme or reason to it. Though I know how disheartening it can be.

Far better than yesterday for me today. Hoping to see 140 tomorrow

MacaroonMama · 13/07/2017 21:55

Oh no guys - how many carbs in half a bottle of wine? Blush Was cross with gorgeous DS2 earlier (Diversity Day at school tomorrow, I spent the day making/buying the sodding outfit, he hated it, etc) so I was a bit grumpy with him, sneakily ate a bag of chocolate coins (why?!) and am now feeling a bit sorry for myself... I am not sure I will ever be able to fully break the habit of treating strong emotions with food. Oh well. Generally happy with food choices so that is something to be thankful for. Has anyone else read the Gillian Riley books about overeating? V good. Anyway. Hope you are all sipping camomile tea and/or running several Ks!

MacaroonMama · 13/07/2017 21:59

PS ponygirl that is lovely to hear. Three years, wow. I did a CBT course a few years ago so remember the 'make objective observations' stage, and so now when I eat carby or sugary crap, I start 'hmmm yes I have heartburn, oh now I feel bloated, gee I am quite grumpy...' etc. Would love to turn that nice meandery self-awareness into WELL THEN STOP EATING HONEY ON TOAST STOOOOOPID! Small steps, I think.

poorpaws · 13/07/2017 22:38

Pony and TV thank you or the advice but unfortunately I've seen it tonight after the Nando's. I don't think Hairspray could have helped me as I had the carrot cake too 😊

This evening I managed to eat most of the contents of the snack cupboard. i guess the answer is not to have a snack cupboard.
Think I will be having a huge weight gain next week unless I can claw back some sort of positivity and stop ramming my mouth with food.

BOOP you are amazing.

lastqueenofscotland · 13/07/2017 23:06

Macaroon I stress eat it's outrageous.
Really need to school myself out of that habit.

Poorpaws I can't have a snack cupboard, it lasts a night. Blush

BitOutOfPractice · 14/07/2017 06:13

Morning. I'm drinking prosecco at the airport. I am doomed to fatness

Morning all,
Sorry didn't post yesterday, bit of a dramatic day as DBro had a seizure and dialocated his jaw, he is only 18 and the youngest in our family so the baby. He is ok but it was a little stressful, my poor mother!

As a result I ended up eating a large brownie and a whole packet of Percy Pigs Hmm.

10.7 so no damage thankfully even though I added an additional 900 calories to my day.

Day off work today, so have to stay out of the kitchen to avoid nibbling!

ponygirlcurtis · 14/07/2017 07:10

That sounds really stressful Hairspray, hope your brother is OK (ouch at the jaw).

Chin chin BOOP! WineGrin

lastqueenofscotland · 14/07/2017 09:35

Still 141 today Angry

QuimReaper · 14/07/2017 10:13

BOOP you are my spirit animal Grin Prosecco at 6am, I don't think even I've ever managed that!

Hairspray Shock does he suffer with epilepsy or was this totally out of the blue? You poor things, all of you! Flowers

Thanks for the reassurance everyone - I do hope I can wrestle it back down at least into the next KG bracket without too much pain; I had a mega-fast day yesterday to try and get things moving, which makes three excellent days this week with a pizza-and-wine-and-halloumi-shaped blip in the middle...

QuimReaper · 14/07/2017 10:18

Macaroon it sounds like you're overall doing really well, so I think you can forgive yourself a food-related decompression, just breathe through the nose and put it behind you.

BOOP meant to say well done on the new 5K time, that is staggering! Every time one of you starts talking about running I remember myself running 7.5K on the treadmill and am tempted to rejoin the gym! I never could get the hang of it out in the open for some reason, I always think how silly it is to pay a fee to do something you can do for free, but for some reason without a screen telling me how far I've gone and spurring me on I can't keep it up Confused

HairsprayBabe · 14/07/2017 11:21

He had his first fit six months ago and then nothing untill yesterday, he was home on his own, my mum is so worried so she is dropping him over here while she goes to an appt later.

lastqueenofscotland · 14/07/2017 12:25

Oh god hairspray Sad thoughts with your family!

FlowersHairspray.

Hope everyone is good. Sorry to read and run. I've been considering booing a yoga retreat next year and it would give me incentive to lose weight as everyone will be svelte and goddess like.

Do I book? Gives me 9 months. Grin

poorpaws · 14/07/2017 21:57

Hairspray I hope your brother is doing well now 😘 And hope your mum is managing to cope - what a shock for your family Cake (thought cake was better than flowers if you are stressed).

EarlyWelcome · 15/07/2017 07:57

Hairspray - I hope you and your family are ok.

lastqueenofscotland · 15/07/2017 07:58
