I've been doing it for 4 weeks. First two weeks were easy and lost 8lbs, but I keep lapsing. Would like to copmpare notes with anyone else doing it...

Same here saggers - dh is off work this week and next, so we are in 'holiday mode' and have eaten very yummy but unhealthy meals. Gone are the hearty cereals for breakfast and instead we are having fry ups!! Gone are my veg soups or salads for lunch, instead we are having homemade pizza or quiche! We also seem to be having biscuits with our cup of tea in the afternoon, and we just shared a bar of chocolate with our evening cuppa
Groan....

Never mind, I will resume with a vengeance when he is back at work and the dc are back at school/nursery.

mrsmalumbas · 30/05/2007 08:53

Hi all - glad to see others are struggling in holiday mode same as me. Had a family weekend involving cooked breakfasts, pub lunches, crisps, wine etc. I have definitely not been eating mindfully! Planning to listen to the CD again today and hopefully get myself back on the straight and narrow.

saggers · 30/05/2007 20:43

Glad to hear it's not just me!
I weighed myself today, and lost 2lbs in 2 weeks. Not great, but not bad, considering that I've not been sticking to the programme properly. And it's 14lbs in 45 days, which should motivate me to stick to it properly again...

suzi2 · 30/05/2007 21:24

Well done saggers . I think I'm looking at a similar loss. I must say it's not motivating me to put down my cheesecake

whomovedmychocolate · 30/05/2007 21:28

I went to see a hypnotherapist - which was crap - but I've lost nearly a stone in two weeks.

I went because this was working for me (the Paul McKenna CD) but only if I listen to it every sodding night and I can't be arsed TBH. I always fall asleep and then get 'headphone face' when I wake up.

hippipotami · 31/05/2007 20:01

wow, that is a great loss whomovedmychocolate! Why ws the hypnotherapist crap? I am still considering that as an opion, so am interested in all experiences, good or bad!

Saggers - slow and steady wins the race, so keep it up!!

saggers · 31/05/2007 22:19

whomovedmychocolate - That's an amazing loss!! Why did you think the hypnotherapy was crap? (Surely must have worked for you to have lost so much?!) LOL at 'headphone face'
And thanks, hippipotomi, I'll bear that in mind.

Hello girls - Been a tad busy recently so not had time to check this thread so I slipped off it.

Anyway, kept the 1 lb loss off and measured a loss of 1.5 cm off my tummy which is good.

I just don't seem to be losing physical weight tho.

Hubby has brought in my bike so I can train indoors, wearing my wireless headphones watching a DVD whilst peddling away.

Anyhow, went to a personal shopping session at Bentalls but didn't have much luck. But I did get a lovely wafty top from Nitya at Bicester Village. It's a tunic style with sort of hankerchief hemline. It's really flattering in an organza type fabric. I can wear a pretty camisole type top underneath, some 3/4 length cream wide legged trousers and some funky wedges. Oh, and a fab funky hat too - here www.felicity.co.uk/large_image.php?ident=135

Glad to see everyone is doing OK, it's inevitable that we'll slip every now and again. It's human nature, at least we recognise when we are doing it. I had sticky toffee pudding in restaurant this evening and BOY did I enjoy it BUT I didn't finish it cos I'd have been sick

saggers · 02/06/2007 09:18

Tillyboo-Glad you're doing ok, and that your shopping trip was successful. Great hat for Royal Ascot! You'll look the part in that!

hippipotami · 02/06/2007 13:30

You will look fab Tillyboo - a noticeable cm loss AND a fab hat!! Enjoy!

saggers · 05/06/2007 22:23

Am doing badly. Ate 2 flapjaacks today for my tea. Must try harder, or I'll end up putting weight on. Read thread yesterday about Yorkiegirl, who has lost 6 stone since January!!!!! (Doing LighterLife, not P McK.)
Isn't that just unbelievable?! I can't imagine it's good for you, but she looks fantastic in her photos!

hippipotami · 07/06/2007 15:14

Yup, Yorkiegirl looks fab. Unfortunately, if you look at other people who have done lighterlife, it always seems to go back on.

I hope that does not happen to YG.

I am doing terribly badly. Still a week before I have to weigh myself, and there is NO way I have lost weight. Will def have put on this week. Oh well, will let you know next week!

suzi2 · 10/06/2007 20:31

A 'bad' couple of weeks for me. First week only 1lb (at best) lost. This week nothing. But on the bright side, nothing gained! Still, 12lb in 6 weeks is great!

I have had a bit of a reread tonight and need to get back on track. I've been eating when not hungry a lot, eating on the move, and snacking when DH was off work and he was eating. Unfortunately for me, he can eat loads and is still only 9.5 stone! He's 5'7" and has the figure I dream of lol.

hippipotami · 13/06/2007 13:08

Just thought I would wake this up - how is everyone doing?

Well, it was my 3-weekly weigh-in today, and I have managed to lose 2lbs in 3 weeks. That is slow, but I was convinced I had put weight on, so I am pleased.

My overall loss is now 13lbs in 9 weeks. Not exactly fast, but slow and steady wins the race (have to keep telling myself that one so I don't give up...)

saggers · 14/06/2007 10:14

I had my 15 day weigh-in today. 1 lb on. I'm not surprised. I only stuck to the programme completely for one day of the past 15. I've still lost 13 lb in 60 days, but really want to lose another stone before we go away in 6 weeks time. I reckon I could do it IF I can get back on track. I've been eating crap - crisps, chocolate and cake (it was my birthday though) but have felt guilty, grumpy and lethargic. When I stick to the programme and eat healthily, I feel great - happy, guilt-free and more energetic. So WHY haven't I been sticking to it?!! I just don't get it! It's like having a deathwish.
Anyway, new day, fresh start...

suzi2 · 15/06/2007 13:19

well done hippopotami & saggers! Well, after a re-read and doing some of the exercises I'm back on track this week and have lost another pound or two. So I'm celebrating being a stone lighter than I was 7 weeks ago. And trie d on a pair of my smaller trousers from before DD today (nothing else was clean) in the hope that I could fasten them enough to get by and discovered that they're actually comfortable and even a tiny touch big at the waist!

So why have I just eaten loads of cheese straws and pringles that I didn't want or need? I agree saggers that eating crap when you arne't hungry makes you feel crap. I'm now struggling and feel lethargic and yukky. I've had no enjoyment out of that binge. Must not do it again!

hippipotami · 17/06/2007 12:07

Well done saggers - we seem to both have done 13lbs in around 60 days. Suzi - a stone in 7 weeks, that is very impressive!

I am having a pigging-out weekend, dh is working away and AF is here, so it has been chocolate all the way!!
Back to normal on Monday though, I still want to shift a decent amount of weight before I go on hols in the middle of July. Am aiming for 8lbs loss before then. That should be doable (she says hopefully...)

Tillyboo · 24/06/2007 22:26

Hello Girls ... Just thought I'd drop in as I've been a bit allusive.

I'll post tomorrow (as I'm a tad knacky-pooed) with my update

saggers · 26/06/2007 09:50

After putting on a pound, I've lost it compoletely. Now only have 5 weeks 'til we go away. I know I could realistically lose 10lb by then, but only if I can get my (fat)arse into gear!

saggers · 26/06/2007 09:51

completely, not compoletely

suzi2 · 26/06/2007 20:49

lol saggers. I'm losing it too. Whilst I'm eating less, I'm starting to think in 'diet' mode and worry about what I'm eating. I'm eating when not hungry because I want to. Then feeling guilty. Then not eating when I am hungry. And rarely stopping when I'm full if there's something left on the plate.

I think I need to re-read it all VERY thoroughly and get motivated again. I suppose that years of eating one way can't be changed in a few weeks eh?

My weight loss the last couple of weeks has been a pound or so maybe.

saggers · 26/06/2007 22:05

suzi2 - I'm glad it's not just me. I'm hopefully going to stick to it tomorrow properly. I've been like you, in that I keep slipping into diet mode. I then feeling guilty if I eat something I 'shouldn't' and then think, "Sod it, I've blown it!" and eat more crap. Back into a vicious circle. Hopefully if I can break back out of that, I'll be ok again. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes...

Tillyboo · 27/06/2007 00:07

I need to re-read the book and get back on track with the CD.

I had a can of zero Coke and bag of cheese and Onion crisps with a garlic dip last night for my tea - at 10pm . How very naughty ....

Still, last time I weighed myself I'd lost another pound. I do need to check when the next weigh in is and get myself organised before that.

I was thnking of two timing Paul by buying a Jason Vale Juicing book to help me along too (although I've suddenly developed an intolerance to strawberries - bugger!).

Tillyboo · 27/06/2007 00:09

It's bloody slow going this system but I keep telling myself 'Slow is good, it'll stay off'

My indoor cycling has come to a standstill as the bike has a puncture. How the hell did I get a puncture indoors ?

suzi2 · 27/06/2007 15:48

PMPL at the indoor puncture
