So over the last few months I have been messing around trying to lose weight and getting nowhere - I am actually heavier than ever. As some of you may have seen from another thread I thought that trying something different might help so I went to my first slimming world class yesterday - unfortunately I was not impressed and I don't think it's for me. So I am using a brand new month to motivate me and spending today planning are more positive May and my meals this week. Anyone else out there also struggling but feeling positive about the new month?

Finding day two much easier - being back at work really helps - too busy to snack! I was over daily points yesterday by 11 (so dipped that much into weeklies) - doubt very much I will go into weeklies tonight, may struggle to get through the dailies that this rate.
Funny how much difference a day makes!

I do davina fit in 15, it has 4 different workouts to choose from!! Also I swim twice a week and aim to do 50+ lengths. I use mfp to count calories and always aim to be between 1200 and 1300!
Sugar withdrawals are kicking in tho, headaches and craving anything sweet, I will get through this!! 🙈

Today I was at work so I skipped breakfast, my eating w8ndow opened at 10.00 but I was busy so didn't notice until 10.30, then had yogurt and grapes. Lunch was a youngs tuna pasta ready meal, 200kcal, 2 oatie biscuits and a carrot. I find it easy to eat well at work as I only tend to eat what I bring in with me. Snacked on 2 oatie biscuits when I got home. Dinner was pie, chips, cauliflower cheese, peas and gravy which is quite alot but I'd only had 600kcal up to that point so thats ok, and eating window now closed so am done! Need to motivate myself to do 15min workout soon though, I'm always so unmotivated to exercise in eveni gs on workdays, just want to collapse.

Ouch, BS&S Unfair
Has anyone come across The Yan Plan which is diet and fitness or the Diet Groove which is mainly diet?

God second day on exante. I'm so hungry, it takes a week to stop feeling starving apparently.
I was on the wine diet before to get me through my divorce but there is none of that now.
I have four stone to lose. I was horrified to hit 14.5 stone at only 5 foot 4.

Skyr yogurt from Lidl!!! Omg! It is high in protein and completely fills me up! 350g so I had half of the strawberry one with strawberries at breakfast.
It's free on slimming world

Was full through til late lunch at 1.30,then I had leftover pork and turkey from yesterday's roast. With salad

Slimming world chili for dinner with quinoa. Fruit for snacking

Run every day in May challenge.....2.50k on the treadmill

Well done everyone... I might weigh tomorrow, I weigh every other day or daily. Keeps me on track

Good 2nd day in and still motivated. Ate salad for lunch and a prepared Asda salad on the train home, both followed by fruit.

Hit over 13000 steps walking fast to and from the station, so s good day.

Plan wise I am doing low calorie low carbs and trying to eat when hungry and stop when full....have tons of water and no wine.

I've made it through 2 days without snacking! I've realised how much snacking I do without even thinking, or wanting anything. It starts early when preparing DCs breakfasts/ lunch in the mornings, just having a bit of cheese, a few grapes, a couple of crackers. Then continues whenever I'm in the kitchen, just grabbing a 'little something'. God only knows how many calories it adds up to in a day. Got to keep this up.

Despite feeling crappy today, I managed not to fall into the biscuit tin or clothes mine to the fridge. I did cave so ghtky & have the crust of a loaf of bread with a bit of butter... but it was fresh out of the oven & I needed something!!!

Another joiner. You lot are positively skinny compared to me. Start weight 19st 1lb, current weight 18st 2lb. I am 11ft tall though 😆

I have been working only weight for 6 weeks now and have tried a variety of plans. Signed up for WW online 10 days ago.

I have started using my Fitbit and do 10K steps daily.

I lost a lot of weight in my 20's then settled down and popped out a few kids. The youngest is 4.5 and does not sleep. Sleep is so important for weight management. Put on about 4 stone since he was born, but have stopped with the excuses now.

Well done to everyone who's got through the day without snacking! Smile

I have crept towards the biscuits/crackers tin a few times but haven't gone mad, hoping water weight will show a pound off tomorrow (here's hoping!!)

Hello everyone, sounds like our Day 2's were good, even if most of us were starving!

I was off yesterday but managed to keep it together. Swam and managed my 10,000 steps, so feel good about that!

Day 3 and in work so that always helps my self-control. I'm going to try and fast today and Friday, then stick with 1400 the rest of time, bar the odd social occasion.

Original - same here. DS (now nearly 7), didn't sleep through until he was 5. And woke at 4am for two years. He still wakes around 5/5.30am, but chronic sleep deprivation absolutely led to my weight gain. So be kind to yourself, and arm yourself with yoghurts and bananas!

Happy Day 3 everyone.

Morning!

2lb off today (half is water weight, but still Smile) so that's given me a good start to the day. I know some people only weigh weekly or not at all but I've found daily weighs keeps me motivated personally.

Let's all have a great day!

pinkieandperkie · 03/05/2017 07:54

Day three already.

I'm bloody starving, feel tired and my head hurts. It will hopefully be worth it when I get on the scales on Monday.

I'm working this morning so no access to food I find the evenings really difficult and I keep going into the kitchen and looking lovingly in the fridge but I have managed to walk away.

Tonight's plan will be a bath and face mask and hair treatment.

3 days late but an I join the (healthy) party?
I've got 3 stone to lose but would be ecstatic to lose a stone and keep it off after years of failing. Been doing Amelie Freer and trying to walk every day so far....

The more the merrier, octopus :)

This morning I'm weighing in at 3.2lbs lost. Still loving the water weight Grin

Well done, Star - that's incredible! I have to hide my scales in the attic, so that I only go up once a week to check, otherwise I'd be jumping on every hour.

Same to you, Beyond, that's great, water is still weight, right?

Welcome to Octopus.

Me too, pinkie. My tummy is grumbling and some motherfucker kind person has topped up the biscuit tin which I can see from my desk. But I will resist!

:)
