So over the last few months I have been messing around trying to lose weight and getting nowhere - I am actually heavier than ever. As some of you may have seen from another thread I thought that trying something different might help so I went to my first slimming world class yesterday - unfortunately I was not impressed and I don't think it's for me. So I am using a brand new month to motivate me and spending today planning are more positive May and my meals this week. Anyone else out there also struggling but feeling positive about the new month?

Ellie well done.

I weighed myself yesterday due to being at work this morning (on my way there now). I'd lost 2lbs so I'm still at 15st but we'll do it next week. The important thing is we're going in the right direction Grin

Designerenvy · 15/05/2017 07:42

Well done Ellie and Panda. I hope I'm down 2 lb on wed! ..... congrats Star

MissingPanda · 15/05/2017 08:21

Thanks Designer. If you keep on track I'm sure you'll make it.

BeyondStrongAndStable · 15/05/2017 08:28

I'm randomly up 1.5lbs today?! No idea how as I don't think my food weighed that much yesterday Grin

pinkieandperkie · 15/05/2017 09:51

Morning all

Surprisingly I am down 2.75lbs this week.

I have rediscovered pineapple cottage cheese, it's lush and somehow helps with the sweet cravings. Cheap as chips too.

Designerenvy · 15/05/2017 09:55

beyond that's what I hate about the scales. ....even though I'm totally reliant on it Hmm.... it can fluctuate depending on time of the month, water retention and time of day even
Don't get discouraged, I think we all fluctuate up and down over a week. The experts say "go by how you're feeling and how the clothes fit." U may still be losing inches and toning upSmile
I didn't take my meaurements at the start and I'm sorry now I didn't. Did any of you measure yourself ?

Designerenvy · 15/05/2017 09:55

That's great pinkie....well done u! Star

pinkieandperkie · 15/05/2017 10:20

Where has our leader Gemi33 gone. I can't see a post from her since this thread was started. I hope that she is ok.

Come back to us! Grin

MissingPanda · 15/05/2017 11:06

Well done Pinkie! 2.5lbs is fantastic!

I've been wondering where OP has gone too.

Designerenvy · 15/05/2017 20:08

Yes, where are you op. You ispired us to get going? Hope all is well !
How's everyone this evening. It's pouring rain here so didn't get out for my usual walk, so the dog is wired !! Sticking to plan, getting nervous for wed weigh in !

pinkieandperkie · 15/05/2017 20:29

I've done something really good.

I said no to Chinese takeaway and had to sit and watch dh stuff his face. It looked so good. I had natural yogurtGrin

Now he's eating cake.

Designerenvy · 16/05/2017 09:15

Good on you pinkie ! How's everyone this morning ?

BeyondStrongAndStable · 16/05/2017 10:41

Extra weight back off again this morning, and a little bit more too. Running total of -9.4lbs :)

BeyondStrongAndStable · 16/05/2017 10:42

It'd be really nice if I could make a stone by Monday... :)

Ellieboolou27 · 16/05/2017 10:53

beyond fantastic!
All good here, been meal planning and going to do workout DVD tonight, been going to bed earlier to curb late night snacking, lack of sleep is a big factor for bad food choices so made a deal with myself to be in bed by 10-10.30 during week nights.

MissingPanda · 16/05/2017 11:42

Brilliant Beyond

Pinkie you've stronger will power than I have.

Did my c25k w3 d1 this morning. I've discovered I quite like running in rain Grin I'm really enjoying doing this so much so that I want to incorporate some other forms of exercise as well. I was thinking starting with pilates as I tried that a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Maybe some weights too. Can anyone recommended anything on You Tube?

Hope everyone else is okay.

Ellieboolou27 · 16/05/2017 12:02

Popsugar fitness on YouTube is good, I type in 10 minutes arms or 10 min thigh workouts and find they are really good for high intensity workouts, I can only manage short spurts as 20 month old hangs off me and 4yo laughs at me Blush

Ellieboolou27 · 16/05/2017 12:03

Especially when I'm doing squats Grin

Designerenvy · 16/05/2017 13:04

Well done beyond! That's fab, you're really making progress!
Well done ellie on the early nights and meal planning. I really cld do with going g to bed a bit earlier but have a habit of staying up watching crap TV. I'm sticking to the meal planning and healthy sbacks and loving MFP! I'm walking a lot more and faster ..dog is thrilled 🐶.... must try those pop sugar videos , looked at them and they look good. Thanks ellie .
panda well do e on the c25k.
Everyone seems to be on track....yippee !

MissingPanda · 16/05/2017 13:09

Thanks Ellie. I'm off for 4 days after tomorrow so I'll check them out then. Short workouts are good because it means I can fit them in even when I'm working. Btw sorry but I'm Grin at your dc. Luckily for me my dc are adults so I can tell them to disappear if they're in.

MissingPanda · 16/05/2017 13:10

Thanks Designer. Yes, we're all doing well, partly in thanks to the support on this thread.

StarHeartDiamond · 16/05/2017 16:15

Well done to all! Sorry I've not been keeping up to speed as much, a bit poorly this week - just a virus, (not a tummy bug though sadly!) but it's knocking me out so I'm all tired and feeble Smile so haven't been keeping up with anything much and not very active at all. Still 7lb down so no change in a week, which isn't surprising given that I've taken to picking whatever I feel I can manage. Funnily enough that's not raw carrots Smile

Anyhoo. I am vair impressed at all this activity you lot are doing and congratulations to the new losers! Will pick up the thread a bit more as I'm determined to get back into routine. I think a bath, doing feet and an early night is a good start!

Ellieboolou27 · 16/05/2017 17:21

star wishing you better, there's a lot going round at the moment, I did lol at you being sad that it wasn't a tummy bug, actually, I can't ever remember being too ill to eat.

panda it's so nice having this thread isn't it! And we WILL be down into the lower stones by next week Wink

Designerenvy · 16/05/2017 17:48

Aw star hope you feel better soon. There's nothing worse ! Hopefully in a coupleasure of days you'll be back to your old, sorry , new self Wink
Yes, I love checking in here with ye lot , it's definitely keeping me motivated too !

Designerenvy · 16/05/2017 17:50

Coupleasure days=Couple of days..... don't know what my phone does sometimes Grin
