Yes - I haven't got loads to lose, about a stone. I've been doing the blood sugar diet for a couple of weeks but keep falling off the wagon. Colonoscopy on Tuesday Byron the plus side the enforced not eating plus laxatives should kick start it! I'm having a burger after though!

NosyBarbara · 26/03/2017 20:01

Thank you Dollface, I am not following a plan as such but have decided to cut out white bread, cake, crisps, chocolate and stuck to 3 healthy meals a day with only fruit to snack on in between. I also plan to walk more. I need to be accountable Blush as I eat so much junk

Msqueen33 · 26/03/2017 20:03

I'm going for a vlcd to start to shift a bit and then switch to clean eating. Need to shift some quick though I appreciate this isn't a good way to get started.

BlackHillsofDakota · 26/03/2017 20:08

Can I join? Dh took a picture of me and my mum today, I thought I looked ok. The photo was horrific! I looked like the back end of a bus. I've previously done slimming world but fancy a change, any suggestions on a different plan?

podrig · 26/03/2017 20:08

Yes but I'm still too pregnant AngrySad

Balonder · 26/03/2017 20:08

Dollface I LOVE my fitbit. I am pretty good at getting my steps in but need to get better at other exercise. Regarding the fruit and veg - I have been trying to eat 10 different things though I am not worrying about portion size. Slice d cucumber in a sandwich counts as does juice of half a lemon. Aiming for average 7/8 veg but must be at least 5. My problem is a serious sweet tooth/sugar addiction.

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:12

Munchkin...you're welcome!!!hmmmm burger...ok no more burger thoughts.... teehee

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:14

so anyone can join.... its about looking after ourselves... a diet is not necessarily losing weight for this group...it happens to be for most of us, but its what ever is healthy for YOU.... so join....

Balonder...I will need your fitbit guidance...I may report to you on my steps (yiiiikes)...... i can see how cucumber and the lemon would build up towards the 10 portions...so I've been really good then...lemon in every sparkling water drink (chuckles)..... ok...the sweet tooth...i am with you.... ahhh its hard to live without it.... the rasberries and strawberries help at all? with some no fat yoghurt? piece of dark chocolate....?.... i know i know not the same... anyone help us here with our giant sweet tooths??? :-))))

I think support is the main thing just for someone to shout "Step away from the biscuits". I'm at my heaviest of nearly 14 stone (even typing that I'm embarrassed). I've got two children with disabilities so have been stress eating.

danTDM · 26/03/2017 20:32

I need quick results or I lose patience. Hmm
I started BIWI's low carb boot camp last Weds and have lost over half a stone in 4/5 days. It really works. I want to lose another stone and aim to do so by Easterish.

You HAVE to be organised whatever method you choose to diet. I did the shopping and meal planning this weekend for next week and I am not budging.

Determined.

After the first few days it is much easier.
I had today
ff yog and coffee
lovely home made chilli with mushrooms instead of beans, avocado and sour cream and cheese.
tuna salad.

Am not hungry at all. Don't crave sweet things. Have had about 7 portions of veg.

Lilmisskittykat · 26/03/2017 20:34

I'm in ... polished off the last of the ice cream tonight so I'm ready Smile

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:35

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:36

danTDM...DETERMINED.... wow look at the results girls.... very well done!!! that is fantastic.... i am a bit like that myself with the "fast results" and being organised... I have all my protein meals to the ready..... power to all of us

Yes I need to seriously start properly. Got so much weight to lose.

danTDM · 26/03/2017 20:37

very low carb diet I think. It works!

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:37

Lilmisskittykat.... you are welcome...i have not polished my white magnum yet... but rest assured i will... then its resume resume resume... i don't always say 'start' ..... what's your plan?

OP posts:
BlackHillsofDakota · 26/03/2017 20:38

That's amazing danTDM what is the diet? Just low carb no bread etc? They are the kind of results I need I'm very impatient!

NewPuppyMum · 26/03/2017 20:38

I have three stone to lose. I've been exercising and watching what I eat and haven't lost a thing. Has been an issue since I did the 5:2 plan. Don't know where to start now.

walruswhiskers · 26/03/2017 20:39

Vlcd = very low cal diets; basically meal replacement shakes types. Lighter life/Cambridge etc.

Sugar cravings last about 3 days for me. I know that I'll have a crashing headache weds and Thursday but that by Friday it will be easing and I'll have lost 2-3 lbs. So worth the battle.

I'm currently 11st5 at 5ft7.5. At my lightest before Xmas I was 11st2. Aiming to be 10st something by Good Friday.

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 20:40

Oh my Msqueen33.... my heart goes out to you..... i can't say i understand...only that i have a disabled nephew.... stress eating, I think we can all relate to that.... step away from the biscuits I am shouting.... (probably because i know there are no biscuits and I am safe).... but seriously there will be much shouting here.... for each and everyone of us.... if any consolation.... I'm heavier... and never thought i would be .... i think i gave up on myself... through grief, change of circumstances etc... but we all have our stories....no matter what extra potato sacks around us are not helping... and it can make it easier for us all to loose some of em.... and why we all logged on... so lets rock this place....
