I'll join too!
I've got about 3 stone to lose - 1 of baby weight from my 3month old DS and 2 that I was carrying before I got pregnantBlush
I'm starting back to my old running club tomorrow and will be restarting the C25k which should help.
Looking forward to losing with you all!

Ive done slimming world and weight watchers a long time ago

I had a go at juicing for a week years ago as well

But the best thing that worked for me was calorie counting

So

Calorie count, cut down on carbs, alcohol and sweet stuff. Might do two fast days

I love milky coffees but i might cut down on those as well as they seem to give me a gippy tummy on occasion

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:11

Welcome Rosieposie....

You have to be in the zone to lose weight though Smile

MrsDustyBusty · 26/03/2017 19:12

MrsD... Have you done the meetings before?

I have, twice (wince). Did well both times and kept the weight off for some years both times but I had people to go with then and am quite competitive so it helped - a lot!

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:13

Well done Rufus.... we have our plans everybody? And if we have any issues or problems doing it.......we come on here for support....... we don't 'give up'...we keep going.... and all those other cliches... but seriously, if we start we can succeed.... and make all of us healthier... and well for our friends and families....

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 26/03/2017 19:13

Thats funny ive just downloaded louise parkes lean for life book

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 26/03/2017 19:14

Yeah

C'mon dollface lets do this

glenthebattleostrich · 26/03/2017 19:15

Can i join in?

4 stone to loose. I'm going to low carb, following biwis boot camp rules. My sugar cravings are insane. Cut alcohol back to twice a week as a glass of wine has crept in most nights.

I'm also starting couch to 5k tomorrow too. I'm to tires after running to eat loads!!!

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:16

So there you go MrsD, I think you have your answer.... maybe go...?? meet some new people?? I hear you re the wincing.... I get endermologie done, I have to start somewhere new as where I used to go is shut down... it will be difficult I'm sure going in and meeting new people and dressing in a sock before being beaten up by a machine ...but again, I am sure we can all do what we need to do....

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:17

Yes glenthebattleostrich!!! wow you have a great plan.... and running...i will need your tips...i would love to start running...as soon as i can move properly ...heeheee...we are similar then I'm no carb you're low carb...have you tried gin and tonic as an alternative? or vodka and diet coke? no carbs.... i know its not el vino....tho

OP posts:
MrsDustyBusty · 26/03/2017 19:18

Yeah, I think I do have my answer. I have to do it, don't I?!

Balonder · 26/03/2017 19:19

I got the Louise Parker books on Kindle. A lot of it is mental preparation - visualising etc. Protein with everything. No wheat as far as I recall. Lots of Bircher for breakfast. Exercise plus 10000 steps every day, get enough sleep. It's a life plan rather than a diet. She talks about keeping your 'fat burning tap' running and protecting your muscle mass and metabolism. It makes a lot of sense. The first book is called Lean for Life and she has a cookbook too. Her recipes are good

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:20

there you go, you'd downloaded the book rufus...Oh my god you completely have to be in the zone...i know there is a switch on my head somewhere for it...just can't find it.... but at this stage, no clothes...not going ANYWHERE and being excruciatingly embarrassed in work is not helping... i was an 8-10, and a dedicated compulsive clothes buyer...heehee.... there are only so many shoes and bags this girl can buy.... and wear with her pyjamas....:-)))))

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:22

I think so MrsD....I think it might help... anyone else have any thoughts?.... i weighed in every week when I did the protein diet the first time... we have to have someone... (says everyone well here you are back again with the weight.. I know...but I've learned there is no point in giving out to ourselves.. its the starting again...

NutButterNutter · 26/03/2017 19:23

Me me me!! DC4 is now 6 months old and I literally haven't lost a pound... must get serious tomorrow. Low Carb is my usual fail safe so I'll do that. Go, go, go, peeps!!! Bear

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:26

Gooooo nutbutternutter.... Lets go nuts tomorrow.....

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:27

Louise parker sounds like an excellent method... and a long term 'solution' although I hate that word.... but an actual life plan....

If anyone wants to lose slowly with a really sensible diet check out team rh fitness and Richie Howie on facebook. I've been following him for a month and have lost just over 1/2 stone on 1800 calories a day -including carbs. It's not a quick fix but being taught about nutrition and exercise and what the body needs. It's a great supportive group with people of all shapes and sizes Smile

Balonder · 26/03/2017 19:28

I like the idea of low carb but can't do without fruit. I am trying to do 10 different fruit and veg a day at the moment. It's doable (though not all full 80g portions) but couldn't manage it without a couple of portions of fruit

Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:28

Ok, so we all know its horrendous at times and will be horrendous.... and we will want to eat the pudding and the pie as fellow participant is aware of.... and we will all want to not log on here and think uggggghhhh I wasn't good enough... I haven't lost... someone made me feel bad...I thought bad about myself......ugggghhhh i will have some food.... so they are all natural thoughts... we are not perfect.... and if we want to be that...everyone will be a long time waiting for it.... but we MUST start......

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:29

OP posts:
Dollface7 · 26/03/2017 19:30

EnglishGirlApproximately, that sounds fantastic...girlies have a look... we can learn too....well done you!!! that's very sensible approach... it is whatever works for us... and remember don't expect to wake up with all our weight gone in one day.....
