Sorry I've not posted for a few days. All going well here. I'm calorie counting and doing quite well at sticking to calories. I really like the flexibility of calorie counting but or so keen on all the weighing or having to guess if eating out. I'm off to Parkrun this morning which helps.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 01/04/2017 09:09

Just checking in

Not doing brilliantly but i liked the sunburn quote earlier so i am taking that onboard

Bad day today but i will try and claw it back tomorrow Smile

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 01/04/2017 11:59

I also like the sunburn quote. I will try to bear it in min.

We went to a formal dinner with friends last night, I did ok with the food but drank a stupid amount of alcohol Blush. I did get up this morning and ran 5k at 9am. I'm off to.meet friends for a birthday afternoon tea (friends birthday, not mine) which presumably will involve sadwiches and cake. I will have to be extremely careful but it's £25 per head so there will be a part of me which will want to get my money's worth! Maybe I could ask for a doggy bag snd bring it home for ds2 who eats and ears and burns it all off!

Hello fellow motivators!! I hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far.... I know some people have struggled....but everyone is still actually making changes...which seems to the most important thing...and if the only thing you do is log on, that is better than not (i know i know, same old record)... headaches were ahhhhh this week....but drinking more water is helping...and being on a health kick is ironically distracting me from other stresses.............WELCOME to mrszebrastripes, Hambo, chicoletta357 , mermaidinthe sea, goingonabearhunt1 and anyone else!! I can't keep up there are so many....and we are at DAY 6!!!! I find the listing of the meals are brilliant, great new ideas for a lot of us I am sure-as everything becomes humdrum after a while... i see lots of people struggling in afternoon and evening...coming in from work doesn't help or back home for people when the house quietens down... there seems to be a good few people on the thread, so if that can help keep people focussed, may be that might be an idea at those "crucial" times-SO log on.... and I think we are all agreeing the word "sunburn" might be enough to stop us from going off track from our chosen plans.... LOL.... keep posting chicks :-))))))

Hi all I'm still here! Took the kids to McDonald's yesterday and couldn't resist eating but stayed on plan (ish) by having a double cheeseburger and taking off the bun.
Doing roast lamb for tonight's dinner, I'd kill for a potato but im determined to give low carbing a proper go and once I start cheating it's the beginning of the end!

Completely sick of eggs now too, never thought it would happen!

paddypants13 · 01/04/2017 18:28

Hello! Can I join? I've posted on a couple of other threads but everyone has abandoned them.

I have a whopping 7 stone to loose. I am so unfit as well. My main aim is to be fitter and to cycle the 12 miles to work everyday (so 24 miles a day, four days a week) and hopefully loose weight in the process.

I've downloaded my fitness pal and Strava and am doing ok so far.

Longji · 01/04/2017 20:14

Hi paddy! 24 miles a day is seriously impressive!

It's the witching hour for me now, craving tea and biscuits (half a packet usually), might have to do some ironing Shock to take my mind off it!

Balonder · 01/04/2017 22:29

Hope everyone had a good Saturday. We are so much more positive (and healthy) than we were this time last week. I had a very active day today - I did my first kettlebells class this morning (walked there and back), a dog walk with the kids and then a gentle 2.5k run. Did a short loop to try to warm up my muscles which were SORE after kettlebells.

pinkieandperkie · 02/04/2017 09:19

I'm such a twat.

I woke up at 3am and went downstairs, dived into the bread bin and ate not one but two hot cross buns with loads of butter. To be honest I actually went for a third but regained control and went back to bed. Feeling a little bloated today and angry with myself. Moving on....

glenthebattleostrich · 02/04/2017 11:30

Morning all,

Love how motivating this thread is. The positivity and motivation is creeping into other areas of my life too!

Not a brilliant end to the week, far to much wine (and gin) led to wine flu on Fri 😀 so the day was wasted in bed with pringles and parks and recreation.

Saturday, i was determined to make up for it so took DD for a walk around a local lake then for a scramble around some ruins of a medeval castle (my area is awesome). 10000 steps later i was fit for nothing but a nice cup of tea and some delicious (low carb) food.

A nice lie in this morning with coconut and blueberry pancakes has set me up for the day so going to clear the back garden and get sorted for summer. If i have time I'll start on the front too. I'll just have a nice cup of tea first!

Weighing in tomorrow, so fingers crossed j haven't spoiled my week on Thursday / Friday.

My food for today is

B pancakes (yum)
L chicken salad
T roast beef with cheeses and sun-dried tomatoes

Have a fabulous Sunday everyone.

Dollface7 · 02/04/2017 14:04

Well helllooooo ladies..... welcome paddy pants-wowser about 24 miles cycling.... we will all have cycle envy.... pinkieandperkie....diving into the bread bin and admitting it....and then MANAGING to stop yourself from the 3rd hot cross bun.... when lets face it, last sunday we'd have all taken up permanent residence in the bread bin-so looks like a success... i think the hardest part is starting again....so you paused and hit play again...yay!! glenthebattleostrich...i now want those pancakes...i will be able to resist as me trying to make them would just be a comedy show....seriously good exercise balonder....i am no where near on the exercise front...i think carb mania of headaches and dizziness is abating... boredom has set in...so looking for constant ways to be distracted.... i need to get over about 3 weeks and on we go.... paddypants-dont worry i have a lot to loose too....and loads of nice things to gain!!Day 7 chicks-well done!! KEEEEEEEEP going.... if in doubt, stop take a breath and leave the temptation behind..... :-)))) PPS longi i hope the ironing helped...if not, do it now or later...and forget about anything else that may or may not have happened...giggles.... GO US!!!

I've weighed in - I'm down 3.2lbs so now 14st 12.8lbs. I wasn't so good at logging on the weekend and definitely ate more rubbish than I should. I ran twice but didn't do any other exercise so that's what I'll work on this week. I am away for a few days over next weekend so that may prove to be a challenge and I'll probably have to weigh in on Tuesday instead of Monday. Hope everyone else has done okay.

walruswhiskers · 03/04/2017 06:49

I've weighed this morning and lost 1.5lbs. I know it's more than that cos I was 2.5 down on Friday but weekend... I might move official weigh in day to Tuesday for that reason. But I feel a good deal better for eating less and upping movement. started the Louise Parker exercises again as well and can feel my legs and tummy tightening already.

pinkieandperkie · 03/04/2017 07:08

I've lost 4.5lbs

Starting weight 10st 8lbs

Well done to everyone who made it through the first week. This thread has really helped me to stay on track and it's nice to log in and read positive stories.

Steala · 03/04/2017 07:25

Deep breath. I need to weigh in. Hope everyone's efforts are rewarded. I'll be back in a bit.

Steala · 03/04/2017 07:26

Posted before I saw those amazing weight losses. Sorry. Many congratulations!

glenthebattleostrich · 03/04/2017 07:39

Well done on the losses ladies. Brilliant job.

After my good plans yesterday I ruined it with a BK. Very cross with myself.

So I've lost 1lb this week. On Saturday it showed as 3. So I'm focused on the week ahead.

My plan is

12000 steps per day minimum
Jump combat class on Wednesday
Run on Friday morning followed by a walk around town with a lovely friend

Food will be low carb.

I'm doing a list of jobs i need to get done in the house and will tackle one of them each evening and then get my crochet out to stop nibbling.

Today's food plan:

B yogurt and blueberries
L cheese omlette
T burgers and salad.

Have a great day

Steala · 03/04/2017 08:21

11.11.0 so a loss of 2.8 lb. happy with that, but like others, less than the apparent loss on Friday am.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 03/04/2017 08:26

Bad weekend

Overall 1lb loss

But i think that was just a reduction in the water gain from last week

Will try again this week, weeks are usually ok, its the weekend which is a killer Smile

phoenixtherabbit · 03/04/2017 12:18

Trying to stay on plan today but dp is grinding down the stone floor in the kitchen so the contents of my kitchen are squashed in my living room along with me and a 11mo so things are slightly difficult and looks like I won't be cooking tonight so will prob be a macdonalds for tea, will try and keep within or close to calories. Only had a small breakfast and light lunch so should be ok. I'm not looking for big losses any more so even if I get half a pound off or less I'll be happy!

Dollface7 · 03/04/2017 13:24

Hello Everyone...happy Monday my slimovators...... so between the last few messages.... there is about 13/14lbs weight loss between you all...and there are other weight losses recorded aswell.... Steala well done for weighing...I think we are all deep breathing and somewhat sighing but when you see the loss its a gasp of joy...a much better feeling.... Phoenix i hope you managed tea ok... you could stand on the bun...which a friend literally did one day... no eating that then...i bought rhubarb which is essentially calorie free with the protein... so that can be put in a shake and it is delicious and filling... struggling to stay awake some of the time...but beginning to feel a bit better... apparently statistically (i know you can find whatever statistic you want anywhere) day 8 is when people start to really log off their "groups" and the slippery slide may begin...but that won't happen here...keep typing... P.S. anyone that we have not heard from-please post-even if you didn't do exactly or at all, what you had planned to do-please log on and we will get you back on your path... support is here for all of us.... and anyone else who is reading...please join-the more the merrier.....!! And remember ladies....if you're looking for perfection.... we will all be a long time waiting...so let's just achieve what we need to for OURSELVES and nobody else! Best of luck for the remainder of the day.

Dollface7 · 03/04/2017 13:26

PS Rufus... you will "continue"....as you have been trying and succeeding...best of luck!!

So I lost 3.5lbs this week which is a total of 9.5lbs in 5 weeks so pretty good. I have had probably 2-3 days a week each of those 5 weeks where I've gone over my cals though. I'd really like to lose another 12lbs in the next 4 weeks so will stick to my cals and get some more exercise to try and reach that goal :)

Balonder · 03/04/2017 16:10

Well done on all the losses. I am down 2lbs which I am happy with though like others it is not as much as I thought it would be as I was down 3 on Friday

poorpaws · 03/04/2017 16:35

Well Done everyone. I lost 1.5 lbs which isn't as much as I would've liked but still a loss so I'm happy. Been doing massively long dog walks and eating quite healthily. Got a posh meal out on Wednesday, which is very rare for me, and I am looking forward to it and dreading it too.
