Hi everyone, thanks for all the well wishes!Flowers

I drank lots of honey and lemon water and sweated most of it out last night, I still felt a bit rough this morning so dosed up on pain killers. I made it through work and am now home, going to do jacket potatoes for dinner, with beans and cheese.
For breakfast I had Greek youghut and mixed nuts. Lunch was a small bowl of veggie rice, a few bits of salad and coleslaw. And I have drank about a gallon of water today to try to stop my throat from hurting, but hopefully I've nipped it in the bud and will be ok tomorrow.

Well done pawpatrol!

Venella · 28/06/2017 09:38

Thank you Posie!

Last night's 'challenge' went relatively well. Some bits that were meant to go in my dinner went in my mouth before they had a chance to end up on my plate ... but the main thing I didn't carry on eating after dinner 'to relax'.
Bit of IF today, no breakfast but lunch and dinner. Used to do 5:2 for a bit which really helped not being afraid of hunger and waiting. (what didn't help was 'making up for it' the next day!) so trying this as a less risky alternative.
Wishing you all a good day. No S and no BS! ;-)

Venella · 28/06/2017 09:42

Skipping breakfast only on Wednesdays, I hasten to add, not everyday! I have an early class and actually no time for breakfast so I'm passing it off as IF to feel in control about it rather than deprived!
It's all in the mind and all that.

Venella · 28/06/2017 09:52

Hope you're feeling better Curvy!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 28/06/2017 18:29

Really craving something biscuity, chocolatey and caramely. I will not give in!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 28/06/2017 19:12

Yes thank you Venella!
Today has been tough with lots of different people offering some delicious food, I did resist it all though, just!

Breakfast: 2 weetabix
Lunch: roast potatoes with salad and coleslaw, a small fruit salad.
Dinner: chicken with homemade wedges, sweetcorn, peas and salad.

Hope everyone had a good day.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 28/06/2017 19:20

I hear you TooExtra!
I'm not looking forward to when I get PMT as that is when I reach for the chocolates!

OSETmum · 28/06/2017 19:25

Thanks Posie for the suggestions 🙂 I love sandwiches too but bread does not agree with me! ☹️ I made some yummy blueberries with Skyr yoghurt and a sprinkling of granola today which I think will travel if it's not too hot!

beela · 29/06/2017 13:40

OSET what about soup in a flask? Or couscous / pasta salad?

I agree with posie that most ready made foods are not going to be very nutritious. Some of the salads from M&S are nice though.

I have just fallen off the wagon and had a little bit of cake (treats in the office kitchen!) ....but it was very nice. I will be good for the rest of the day and ignore the rest of the treats that are there. Even the fruit! It would be so easy to graze all afternoon.... but I know that it would make me feel terrible so I will not do it.

twofloorsup · 29/06/2017 14:10

Loving your determination Beela Smile

beela · 29/06/2017 14:46

Argh, it's hard!!

beela · 29/06/2017 15:53

BUT - one of my colleagues has just noticed that I have lost weight so I am now re-motivated (to abstain from snacks that is - work motivation somewhat lacking today Blush)

PosiePootlePerkins · 29/06/2017 17:18

Beela every time you fight the urges to eat/snack/binge, you become just that little bit stronger. It really is hard, and for me it was very unusual to say no to food! Try and plan ahead to the next delicious meal and you will enjoy it all the more when you get there. Nice to have positive comments from people, it definitely helps to stay on track.
I have had a good day today, have lost another pound so that's good. Its very slow but am 1stone 11 pounds down since September, so I am getting there. Going to order Chinese this evening but will choose fish noodles and veg dishes and stick to one plate. Yum yum!

Hello everyone, I weighed myself this morning and I'm now 13 stone 13, so that's a loss of 2lb, I'm pretty pleased with that as I didn't think I would see any real difference within the first week.

Breakfast: 2 slices of toast with butter
Lunch: lasagne with salad and half a piece of garlic bread and a fruit compote
Dinner: will be pasta bake.

I'm still feeling hungry in between meals though, does this wear off? Please say it does!

GoatsInATree · 29/06/2017 18:43

Hi everyone. I think it's been about 2 weeks since I last posted, thought I would give an update.

Ok so I did a great first week following No S. Then last weekend, for some silly reason, I decided I was going to start a normal (ie more restrictive) diet. Faster weight loss! Grin
Recipe for disaster for me as I know very well. As soon as I get 'diet head' on it drives me to binge.
So basically I've been bingeing pretty much all of this week. I've seen sense today and am starting No S again tomorrow. That first week I tried it I didn't binge once - which is amazing as I doing it with scary regularity before No S.

So I'm back to it. I'm quite busy with work at the moment and not on MN as much as I'd like to be but things should settle down to normal in the next week or two so I hope to join in the thread more then.

OSETmum · 29/06/2017 18:56

beela ooh yes soup would be lovely!

I also caved and had some cake today, but a child made it for me so it would have been rude not to right?!

twofloorsup · 29/06/2017 20:25

Curvy I wouldn't last 5 minutes on toast for breakfast !!
Could you not have something more substantial ?
Goats just jump straight back on it Smile
OSET sometimes you can be rude if it benefits your wellbeing Wink

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/06/2017 20:58

Twofloors, I woke up a bit late today, so didn't have much choice, I was disappointed as I did plan eggs, tomatoes and toast.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better, but I'm feeling very hungry tonight!

PosiePootlePerkins · 29/06/2017 21:01

Curvy regarding breakfast I agree with two, you can have something more substantial like cereal and toast, bowl in the middle of the plate and toast around the edge! I have done that all along and am only just cutting down from two pieces of toast to one. I don't know if it is strictly NoS but it hasn't done me any harm, I need a decent sized breakfast to get me through to lunch.

OP posts:
beela · 29/06/2017 21:10

OSET I'm with you. I find it really hard when one of my dc is wanting to share their biscuit (or whatever) with me. I try to 'save it for later'!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 29/06/2017 22:37

That's true posie, I didn't really eat breakfast before now, so still finding it a bit of a struggle to eat in the mornings, but am getting better. Also my lunch is quite early, at 12, so is probably earlier than some.
And as of Monday I will be out of the house an hour earlier so will definitely have to eat more to keep me going.

PhoebeBee · 30/06/2017 08:44

Hi everyone!

Can I join please? This looks like such a sensible way of eating!

Just to check I've got the main idea...

I eat 3 meals a day with no sugar, snacks or seconds on weekdays except for special days?

So if I normally eat a banana midmorning, should I eat that at breakfast instead? I would often have a handful of nuts (as well as some chocolate) around 4pm, so should I have that at lunch or after dinner instead or do these things count as snacking? Nuts, not the chocolate which obviously is!

Sorry if these are v obvious and stupid questions!

AristonAndOn · 30/06/2017 09:13

Poking my head in Blush Not got back on it, but not given up.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/06/2017 09:18

I lost a pound! Hurray! it will be back after the weekend but it is so nice to see a new number on the scales!

Phoebe, if you can fit your banana or nuts on your plate at mealtimes then you can absolutely eat them! The idea is to see them all on one plate so you can easily see if your portion sizes are too big.
