Dieting... again! Support needed!

Hey everyone!
I need to shift some weight!!
I gave birth to my daughter just over seven months ago and I lost the baby weight! (Woo!!) but to be fair it wasn't too much.
Basically, I've gained 9/10lbs recently and finding it hard to get back into the "Zone" and stay focused.
I weighed myself yesterday and I'm 11.9lbs (then ate Pizza Hut and brownies so i probably went up to 11.10 Blush
I've told my OH to hide my scales so I don't obsess with weighting myself and give them to me every Friday morning!!
I've gone out today and bought some slim fast milk shakes , 8 bought some salad , breakfast bars and fruit... I've started today!!!!
My plan is to have a banana before nursery run.
Come home and have a slim fast shake for my breakfast, have a healthy lunch or a shake and dinner and inbetween just have fruit or nuts etc.
I'm going to be doing my nursery run each weekday and my stepper, also crunches and squats.
(DVD when I have the energy!!)
I'm just looking for support so I stay focused, I'm thinking updated my progress on here will help!!
Anyone else dieting after baby or just in general!- please share your story Smile

I've had another good day!!
Just a little over in the calories for my main meal but all healthy so I don't mind!!
Yes! That's what I do sometimes!
Instead of the bars I will make it up with something else! An egg and one slice of brown toast, or as you need it on the go I'd defiantly recommend them bars.
I also have similar bars that I use- berry and Apple breakfast bars. They're 116 cal so I have something else with them. Rice cake or something!

Oh and I was 11 stone 6 when I weighed in at the gym yesterday evening so down a couple of lbs which is good.

Yey! That's really good!!
I feel like being on slim fast has defiantly made me a lot more aware of how many calories I was over eating!!!! So if I change a shake or bar (if I'm not feeling them or want to eat something more) I just make sure it's around the same calorie intake, even if it's 100 over as long as it's healthy it's okay.
I must have easily been eating DOUBLE what I was suppost to that's for sure!!
I stick to it but my own way. As long as whatever I'm eating outside of the slimfast stuff is healthy and low cal- I'm all good Smile

Yes I'm leaning towards low carb high protein as I go on. But definitely watching calories and portion sizes. That's why I find My Fitness Pal really good as I love logging everything and then seeing the nutritional content.

Well done, you're doing really well. The last week has been rubbish, I'm still not feeling well but hoping that things are improving now so trying to plan meals etc so I can make a fresh start when I feel better.

That's sort of what I was thinking with the bars - either finding some that are similar calories to the slimfast ones or the Eat Natural ones which are a few more calories but it is all natural healthy stuff, so do you think I will still lose weight doing that?

Yeah you'll lose weight doing that for sure.
All about the calorie intake- I gained weight from over eating even healthier foods!!! I now work out the calories and think sometimes my lunch would be 600/700 cal!!!!! Or more!! And now I can have something for 200/300 and be fine!
Shocking really. But defiantly has taught me more about portion sizes and calorie intake. I'll use my shakes etc and start changing things up until I'm completely off them and on a healthy calorie and portion controlled way of life.
I'm using slim fast just to get some weight off- - a kick start.. and to shrink my tummy used to eating less!

Yes I'm trying to limit my meals to 200/300 calories each then I can have some snacks as well.

So my breakfast is porridge with a banana chopped up in it which is about 200. Lunch again around 200. I'm snacking on apples and cherry tomatoes at work.

It's when I get home that it's hard work....

Yeah defiantly calories are the devil lol.
It's opened my eyes to why I was gaining for sure!!!
Yeah, I find evening time when the kids go to bed I want to eat the world!!!! Lol.
Trying hard to keep focused.. doing the slim fast until I've ran out- changing into porridge etc like you have. The best way as slim fast isn't for long term for sure. Once I start running out of shakes I'll buy some porridge to start having that.
Why can't we eat what we want and loads of it and still lose weight!??? Not fair lol. Xx

I'm finding myself hungry!
Do you think if I had bigger snacks I would gain????
For example a bowl of fruit or nuts and raisins- but the calories not counted?? Inbetween doing the 321 plan?? (Instead of a slim fast pack of snacks I just have a big bowl of fruit or veg but don't count the calories)
Opinions? ..

Morning ladies.
I'm 11.6lbs this morning.
I'm adding some more calories during the day as finding myself really hungry in the morning!!
Will just add a bowl of cereal/fruit or something healthy just to get me through to my main meal at 1pm .

Morning. If you log everything you eat on mfp you can have whatever snacks you like. Nuts are good or lean protein. I like crabsticks and prawns in a bowl.

What I've been doing is having my slim fast bar before skl run then when I'm home I'll have a slim fast snack or something around the same calories, but find I'm starving come 10.30/11am!!
I've decided before school run I need a bowl of cereal.
Then, I'll come home and have my shake or bar and a snack.
It's only an extra 200 cal- and healthy and first thing in the morning!
(I'm just reassuring myself! Lol)
I LOVE how my mind set has changed and I'm now checking calories and keeping on top of them- instead of just eating what ever!!!! And being sad I'm gaining weight.
I'm trying to keep at around 1,400 cal a day. (Give or take)

Yes, try porridge - it's really good at keeping you full for ages. I make it in the microwave in a jug with half milk and half water. Then chop a banana into it.

I'm just feeling peckish now and have had an apple and a coffee.

I'm back on it today after my raging hormones have settled down. Will get my seafood for lunch - 186 calories for the whole tub, again it really feels satisfying.

I've bought some weetabix and some porridge.
Will have that before my school run.
Then when I'm back have my shake and a snack.
Then 1pm my main meal around 600/650 cal.
Then my shake or bar for dinner and a snack after if needed 🙂
Shouldn't make too much of a difference having that cereal in the morning should it?
I'm still aiming for 1,400/1,500 cal aday. And exercising every day also.
Mmm love sea food!!
Oh god totm sucks for dieting or even eating well!!!!! X

Each day I'm trying to stay between 1.400-1,500 cal 😎 Maximum.

And keeping to my main meal being at 1pm - not every day, but most days.
Will weigh myself in the morning or Saturday morning.

I'm back on it today. Lunch was porridge and banana then it was so cold that I had a jerk chicken and rice ready meal for lunch which was 300 calories and then beef stew and dumplings for tea at 550 calories. Really satisfying. Then went to the gym and burned off 450 calories. Had a big bowl of fruit when I got back and some herbal tea.

Have to say I am bored rigid with the shakes and may be headed down the calorie counted ready meal route instead....

Hi!! You've defiantly had a good day!!!
I find myself having more bars than the shakes- today I tried using my shakes up as u only have one bar left lol.
Yeah I don't blame you- I'm finding I'm defiantly counting calories with everything I eat so I'm looking to go from doing this to just counting what I have when "properly" eating.
I like to count them to know I've not over eaten or to think I've eaten well when really I'm 500cals over what I need to be eating to lose weight!!!
So far so good.
I wasn't even going to drink my shake for dinner as wasn't that hungry but then didn't want to wake up in the night starving!!!!
Will weigh myself in the morning...
Was going to wait until Saturday but I know I won't lol. X

I think I'm always going to have Friday be my cheat day or I'd lose the plot lol

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, had a rubbish few weeks. Still 11st 6lbs :( Feeling quite down at the moment but trying to make a fresh start (for the final time!) tomorrow. How are you both getting on, hope it's going well,

Erm well we're on holiday at the moment and it has been a total binge fest of gluttony so if I'm still 11 stone 6lb on Monday I will be delighted!

I will be back on it Monday however as will then have only 6 weeks before we go abroad and I really really really want to be slimmer for that.

I completely sympathise. I get so frustrated that for some reason I really struggle to stay motivated and end up bingeing and constantly starting again...I hate the way I look, dread being invited out and have to wear because nothing fits - why isn't that enough? Why can't I do it?!

Hi!
Well.... I totally stopped and ate everything in sight and haven't exercised and take aways have been the go to!!!!
So... tomorrow morning I'm starting fresh- I've bought a work out DVD also I'm thinking of getting a blender to add some fruit and ice to my sim fast in the morning or for my lunch/dinner.
And just have a healthy dinner/lunch and healthy snacks...
will weigh myself in the morning but I imagine I'm about 11.11 again!!!!!!!!
Fresh start tomorrow!
How are you both today?
