Dieting... again! Support needed!

Hey everyone!
I need to shift some weight!!
I gave birth to my daughter just over seven months ago and I lost the baby weight! (Woo!!) but to be fair it wasn't too much.
Basically, I've gained 9/10lbs recently and finding it hard to get back into the "Zone" and stay focused.
I weighed myself yesterday and I'm 11.9lbs (then ate Pizza Hut and brownies so i probably went up to 11.10 Blush
I've told my OH to hide my scales so I don't obsess with weighting myself and give them to me every Friday morning!!
I've gone out today and bought some slim fast milk shakes , 8 bought some salad , breakfast bars and fruit... I've started today!!!!
My plan is to have a banana before nursery run.
Come home and have a slim fast shake for my breakfast, have a healthy lunch or a shake and dinner and inbetween just have fruit or nuts etc.
I'm going to be doing my nursery run each weekday and my stepper, also crunches and squats.
(DVD when I have the energy!!)
I'm just looking for support so I stay focused, I'm thinking updated my progress on here will help!!
Anyone else dieting after baby or just in general!- please share your story Smile

Instead of having a shake just have a healthy replacement- bowl of salad and chicken or some fruit or cereals.
I'm finding it easy with the shakes and bars because i like them- but if you don't , don't have them as you'll just be miserable! And dieting is crap as it is!! Lol.

Yeah it's defiantly given me some motivation that's for sure and when I get to my goal weight I can slowly go down a shake/bar and just replace with a healthy meal and more exercise so I don't gain.

I just had my slim fast bar as my dinner as couldn't wait!!!!!

HI. I managed OK in the end last night. Got peckish watching TV and had olives and cherry tomatoes and a banana. Then went to bed early...

Today have managed well up to now. Porridge and banana for brekkie, I had a mixed seafood thing from the co-op for lunch which was only 186 calories but really filled me up as it was just pure protein really.

Came home and have had fish, egg and potatoes for tea. And an apple.

Tonight I'm off to the Gym, got to take ds2 for his tennis lesson so I have my trainers on in case I fancy working out whilst waiting for him. If not, I've got my Body Balance class later on.

Haven't weighed myself as I tend to be easily discouraged if the weight isn't coming off and at 47 it doesn't come off as easily as it used to sadly.

You've done really good today!!!
Just stay strong - even have that work out and another day is done with!!!
I find after having my kids my weight just wants to stick to me!!!!! Hence why I've started with slim fast, just to give me that kick start motivation to then slowly cut it down to really healthy meals in replacement of the shakes etc.
So far so good but I'm finding what to snack on hard inbetween my shakes and main meal (at lunch) when I don't want fruit!!
I suppose as long as is not crap it's fine!! Lol .
I'm going to weigh myself on Saturday morning to give myself motivation over the weekend.

You've done so well so far! .

Well done you guys. Don't get disheartened and don't let one bad meal push you off course. It's one meal. That's all. Put it in the fuckit bucket and get back on it 😀

It's so true!

I started 11.10 and a half.
Today I'm 11.7 and a half.

I've done good today, I think 🤔
Partner wanted take away and treats tonight at first I agreed now had time I've messaged him saying no and I'm sticking with this as I've had a good day- why would I ruin it.

If anything we can have take out for lunch tmra- then I can have a shake / bar for dinner.

Erm... well.

Last night went to David Lloyd with ds2 and whilst he was having his tennis lesson I swam 20 lengths, steam & sauna. Then once he had finished we both went to the gym and I cycled 5 k and then we went on this weird treadmill which burns calories very quickly. Then we both did the BodyBalance class. So really good.

Today dh had the day off so I took him to DL as I don't work Fridays. Did BodyBalance, steam sauna etc... then we decided to go shopping and ended up in a Thai all you can eat for lunch (!) Disaster.

So a bit of a mix really but I'm not weighing myself.

DS2 and I did this Boditrax thing at the gym last night which measures all sorts of things as well as your weight. And whilst I haven't lost much weight since Christmas, my fat has gone down and my muscle mass, water and bone have increased. So I said to him we'll measure ourselves every Thursday on the Boditrax - it's going to be our night so we'll do what we did last night as we both really enjoyed it.

The Thai ALL you can eat sounds amazing!!! and all good as you had worked out so much evening before! Smile
I lost 3lbs this week so I've decided it's treat night!!!!! Every Friday night I'm having a take Way or treat!!!
So far, two cupcakes down and pizza on route!! Lol
Back on it tomorrow! Got a work out planned and bought cuppa soups for 90 cal for inbetween my shakes 🙃
Feeling proud my weights going down!
Will weight myself next Monday for motivation and to no what I'm starting the week at!

Back on the porridge this morning :)

Hope you both have a successful weekend. I finds weekends hard as you're out of your routine.

We have a party at 11 where I will have to refuse the cake.... think of that bikini body!

Just weighed myself, still 11st 6lbs :( Not a surprise after an awful few days. Hoping to make a fresh start today but you're right, weekends are hard!! Hope you both have a good day x

Just out shopping partner has so far offered cafe, bakery, harvester.... i have to have such good will power around this man!!!!! Lol.

Hi! I downloaded it this morning I don't really know what I'm doing lol/ but I've been scanning what I've eaten as I go through the day I ... it's nice to just have it written down on an app what I'm eating and how many calories I've eaten.
Before this app inwas just jotting down what I was eating and a rough amount of calories.
I have no idea how to add a friend? Lol or how it's going to count my steps I've taken in exercise? X

I'm just trying to work it all out lol- suppose it helped if today i done some exercise Blush lol!
I've had my bar for breakfast- cuppa soup for a snack and tuna and brown pitta and salad for my lunch as that's when I have my main meal.
Later I'll have another soup or something within 100 cal and my bar or shake for dinner.. so far so good!!

I'm starting a fresh tmra as didn't stick to it AT ALL this evening!!!!!
I have my slim fast 7 day challenge box coming tmra afternoon so i have everything I need and know no when to eat and what to eat!!
Will weigh myself in the morning and then on fri morning!!
Hope u can join us soon!!

Where did you get the 7 day box?

I'm really frustrated, I'm feeling so rough that the diet hasn't rea;;y got off the ground. I've got a couple of days off this week so I'm just trying to get through until then and then I really need to try and hopefullly feel better and try again!

I ordered mine from Morrisons as I was doing shop any way- they don't sell it in store in mine!!!
You can also buy it on amAzon Superdrug and probably boots too.
Well worth it!!!
I'm starting a fresh today. I feel like last week I was all over the place with what I could eat and when and just getting used to it all!
Ate two take aways and some other crap this weekend! So I'm now 11.9 annoyed at myself for not sticking with it- but from today I'm being strict with it!!!!!! 100%!!!!

Hi

Hope you're both getting on ok? I've been trying to work out what to do about lunch - due to the nature of my job I need something that can be eaten on the go and requires no preparation which is why I like the idea of the shakes - but in reality I find them quite sickly and I think I'm going to struggle. I like the bars too but get a bit bored of the flavours. However, I love the Eat Natural bars -do you think it would work if I had something like that for lunch instead?

I'm in the midst of a time of the month binge disaster and have just finished off a large tube of smarties!

I'm bored to death of the shakes for lunch too. I've discovered this seafood mix at our co-op for lunch which really fills me up, is tasty and full of protein and iron. Also have a miso soup which is about 20 calories and very tasty.
