Pets do have their uses Grin although I thought you'd given 1/2 to DS.

Wench have you been to the docs, I know this lurgy's hanging around but yours is going on a lot longer.

Triangular it doesn't matter if your plus sized or a twig you're marrying the person you love and he loves you as you are.

I'm gutted had a health check and the nurse was adamant I'm 1cm shorter than last year. I'm titchy enough as it is Grin. I'm another who's finding the snacks are creeping in so need to get my act together.

Millie and Firefly DS is being made redundant - any suggestions for what a jaded wannabe and now unqualified legal exec can do - this was the first job to let him build up qualifying experience the others dangled the carrot but used him as a glorified postboy.

Wenchelda · 08/02/2017 18:37

Yes notso, I went to the docs the week before last when my sinuses were even worse than usual. My gp said they were a bit inflamed but nothing too bad and I didn't need antibiotics. So I think I've just got to keep plodding along with feeling crap until it decides to clear off!

Felt completely exhausted today - this cold is draining me anyway and we had a particularly disturbed night. So I dropped the dcs at school and then went back to bed!

Food today was tea and banana when I got up, egg and seeded toast after the school run. Slept through lunchtime so just had an apple mid afternoon. However calorie overload this evening as we have had Chinese takeaway Blush (the dcs have been learning about Chinese New Year and sampled the food at school but wanted to try more).

No motivation for exercise bike but I think I need to force myself to do that first thing as it definitely wakes me up a bit.

Bibs2014 · 08/02/2017 20:36

Hey all have been away with work yesterday and today so no control over food. Back on it tomorrow, sick of yoyoing!!!

MillieMoodle · 09/02/2017 17:10

Sorry all, have had a busy couple of day so will update properly later on, just catching up on thread

Notso sorry to hear your DS is being made redundant. whereabouts are you in the UK? There are lots of admin/paralegal jobs about in our geographical area, depending on the area of law.

Notsoskinnyminny · 10/02/2017 07:01

He'd prefer to work in Liverpool but Manchester and Chester are doable. He's wary of taking another admin job after failed promises in his previous jobs. Kids - you think as they get older you won't have to worry about then but there's always something.

On the weight front I'm down 1lb Grin

Bibs2014 · 10/02/2017 12:49

I ate a bit too much chocolate yesterday although meals were good.

yesterday: porridge, apple, semi skimmed milk, lunch was chilli and rice, dinner chicken, potatoes and veg. snacked on 75g of choc and fruit.

today:

shredded wheat, skimmed milk
ham sandwich thins and soup
dinner is cauliflower curry, wraps, salad, greek yoghurt
fruit, yoghurt, popcorn

triangularchocolate · 10/02/2017 15:51

Well I've just eaten a pork pie Blush

Here's the dress...

5 weeks to go!

SmellTheGlove · 10/02/2017 16:43

triangular that is really really pretty! I love the lace part. You look fantastic already so no need to feel bad about the pork pie Wink.

Wenchelda · 10/02/2017 20:23

Lovely dress triangular!

I seem to have fell off the wagon a bit the last couple of days - not that I've eaten loads of terrible stuff but I haven't logged it all on MFP. Have done today though and am slightly over (only about 70 cal) but have cycled to and from work so that's some exercise at least. Will be doing the same tomorrow too. Not hopeful for Sunday morning weigh in though as my mid week check in the scales had me at 10st 1 which is 1lb more than last weekend Blush

MillieMoodle · 11/02/2017 09:49

Triangular the dress is gorgeous!

Wench I've been quite good this week although not logged much on MFP. Yesterday was a disaster though. Blush

Today I've had two slices of white toast with strawberry jam, tea and actimel for breakfast.

I have given up on wearing my maternity jeans and been and bought some normal ones a size bigger than I was before DS2. At least I will be comfortable and have clothes that fit while I try to lose weight!

I need to get back on this properly. Not long to go til Easter and I still have half a stone to lose by then!

Wenchelda · 11/02/2017 16:14

Cycled to and from work today (in snow!) which totalled 5k.

Food has been -

S- Tea and Banana
B - Scrambled egg & seeded toast
L - Mash potato, green beans, sweet corn, peas, gammon; 2 mini fromage frais
S - apple, flavoured latte, funsize mars bar
D - going to do homemade pizza
S - hot choc at bedtime.

Should be just about in my calories or not far over.

MillieMoodle · 11/02/2017 17:17

Lunch was a corned beef roll, 3 small vine tomatoes and a jam doughnut. I'd usually have 2 rolls though so am doing ok! Dinner tonight is spag Bol and broccoli.

Wenchelda · 11/02/2017 18:00

Mmmm pizza Grin

Lose a stone by Easter- thread 2
Wenchelda · 12/02/2017 07:55

Weigh in this morning and I am 9st 13 and 3/4 - same as last week. I'm ok with that ... I haven't been particularly strict with myself and had Chinese takeaway midweek and that huge homemade pizza last night. I'm just happy to have a 9 at the start of my weight! Grin

Will try and be more disciplined over the coming week though so I can get a definite-under-10st rather than a barely-just-under-10st!

SmellTheGlove · 12/02/2017 09:11

Not official weigh in (that's on a Tuesday) but today's weight is - drum roll - 11.10 on the nail! Which puts me officially into 'healthy weight' bmi and is 4 pounds off my target. Huzzah! Now just got to keep going....

happypoobum · 12/02/2017 09:12

Weighed in - I have lost a pound!! No idea how as I have been norty again. I have had a bit of a health scare which had me reaching for the roast potatoes and the wine, oh and a takeaway curry Blush

Still it's great I have lost. I have been doing exercise classes a week for past two weeks so maybe that has helped?

Triangular the dress is lovely and you look fabulous.

I think some of us, mainly me, need a bit of a kick up the bum to get back in the zone. Come on - it was easy enough once our heads were in it. I am going back to logging everything on MFP and no booze.

triangularchocolate · 12/02/2017 11:16

Congrats on the healthy weight Smell - feels like an impossible dream to me at the mo. And Wench for getting in the 9s! Happy I also need a kick up the bum - forgot to weigh in his morning but expecting a small gain. Have a birthday do, girls night out and christening this week so need to sort myself out or I'll be gaining weight!
Thank you for the compliments on the dress - I'm sure I'll feel fab on the day!

Notsoskinnyminny · 12/02/2017 15:57

Damn missed the dress - it says image not available but I bet you look lovely triangular

happy hope the scare wasn't/isn't anything to serious.

Well done smell

I'm down 1lb - don't know if its because my fitbit thingy links to mfp and is allowing extra calories for my dog walks but if I complete my entry based on 1200 calories it says I'll weigh 118 in 5 weeks - ha its been saying that since December - but if log more, say up to 1500 it says I'll weigh 116 - very confusing.

I was back in the zone but its half term and I've got 3 boozy lunches and a breakfast planned and will probably succumb to a chippy lunch on Wednesday as a few of us have to go into school!

MillieMoodle · 12/02/2017 19:37

Well done all of you on the losses or not-gaining-anythings! I'm still at 11st 7lbs but since Christmas haven't been on it properly. BUT we have booked a summer holiday today, so I have until the last week of August to lose at least a stone and a half and tone up considerably. So I need to stop messing around and get on with it. It is only me stopping myself from losing weight.

I think my motivation will be to look at myself in the mirror properly every day. The mirror in our bathroom is particularly unforgiving so I think it will keep me motivated as I hate how big I look in it.

Come on, WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Bibs2014 · 12/02/2017 22:29

Hello everyone

Sorry for silence, been so busy! Foodwise ok but not great but have prepped meals for tomorrow and am back on it 100%!!

I found a weight watchers 'no count' group on Facebook which is the old ww diet I used to lose weight after having DS so I'm going to do that - it's very similar to slimming world.

Menu for tomorrow

Crumpet before I leave the house
Porridge at work
Pasta in tomato sauce and salad
Chicken roast for dinner
Fruit

Wenchelda · 13/02/2017 17:27

Well I'm working an extra couple of days this week which is good as it means I get my exercise in by cycling to work - however someone had annoyingly kindly brought in a tin of fancy biscuits so the temptation was too much! I am just about under my calories today but only because I am limiting myself to soup for dinner to make up for the rubbish I had at work Blush

B - tea, banana, 2 hard boiled eggs
S - flavoured latte, choc chip cookie, fancy chocolate biscuit
L - roast beef & salad sandwich on seeded bread, quavers, funsize mars bar
S - Apple
D - carrot & coriander soup
S - hot choc at bedtime

Working again tomorrow so really hope everyone else has finished off the biscuits today and there are none left to tempt me in the morning!

MillieMoodle · 13/02/2017 18:00

Aargh!! Wtf is wrong with me? Why can't I step away from the biscuits?!

Lunch was scrambled egg on two slices of white toast, followed by 10 (yes, 10 Blush) chocolate fingers. Have also had a chocolate coin.

Dinner is pork chops, chips, broccoli and cauliflower cheese. With a glass of wine.

I have stuck two postcards of the place we are going on holiday onto our treats cupboard to remind me that I need to stop eating rubbish if I want to be slimmer by the time we go.

Carpet is going down in the conservatory tomorrow so will have NO MORE EXCUSES for not doing 5k on the bike every night, as the room will be a much nicer room to be in.

Somebody shout at me please!

Wench - well done for keeping up with your cycling!

happypoobum · 13/02/2017 18:20

MILLIE - STEP AWAY FROM THE FUCKING BISCUITS!!!

Did that help?

Just work out how long you have to do on the bike to work it off and cut back a bit tomorrow.

I have been Halo today. Weirdly just wasn't hungry all day and then had oven baked salmon with stir fried chinese veg for dinner. No booze.

Millie I might borrow your idea of sticking a photo of holiday destination to the fridge. I don't want to have to wear cycle shorts under my lovely summer dresses again this year to stop chub rub Blush

MillieMoodle · 13/02/2017 18:34

Happy that was perfect thank you GrinIt made me laugh out loud, I can sense your anger from here! I think that's what I need every day tbh! Well done for being saintly today too.

I am also tempted to stick a photo of me looking massive next to the postcards as a harsh reminder of how I don't want to be.

SmellTheGlove · 14/02/2017 09:08

I swear the only reason I'm managing to lose any weight is because I'm so bloody cold! Spent most of yesterday outdoors with DS and his friend who were running about so not cold at all while I just froze! I even did a few obstacle courses just to try and warm up! Official weigh in today 11.10 and a half. So doing okay really, considering I had a roast lunch on Sunday and a glass of wine and side of chips last night out with DH for an early valentines. He has now buggered off up north to work so it's just me and DS for a couple of days. happy that motivating message goes for me too! I'm finding it hard now, but I do think that losing a couple of pounds at last after being stuck for several weeks is a good motivator as I don't want to risk it all going back on. I fully expect to gain at least half a stone in NYC as all I seem to do at the mo is Google things like 'best pancakes in NY' and 'pizza tours' Grin
