morning all,

Thanks for all your nice compliments. I will wear the dress with silver strappy sandles. Its not to sheer with nude bra.

sol is there a lot of support in place for you and your family? do they think he is still able to go to main stream school ect. (sorry for all the questions and please dont feel u should answer if you dont want to) How are you getting on otherwise?

green that dress is lovely, it will really suit you with you colouring. the venue looks amazing. I would love to go up north to Newcastle way.

pom how are you? well done on your fasting. what have u got planned on sunday?

we were meant to be having family round on sunday to celebrate ds1 4th Birthday but he has chicken pox. :(

I had my measurements taken and Ive put weight on, 1.5 kg is muscle but 1.5 is fat. I have lost inches thou. he has now adjusted my diet and Im on such a small amount of food :(

hope you all have a great weekend.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 08/07/2017 23:12

I haven't fallen in to a vat of Bounty bars Pom but there has been lots of crisps, wine and takeaways. It does not look likely that DS will go to a mainstream school, but the system here is very different to the UK so the ASD Units are within mainstream schools. So the kids can mix and blending the classes are encouraged - so the ASD Unit would join the mainstream class for PE, Art, music etc with the hope that by 6th class (I think that's year 8 in England) the kids are in a mainstream class for as much as possible.

Thanks so much for all of the support on here. My friends and family have been lovely, but sadly some random people have been horrendous. I was reduced to tears by a horrible woman at the pet farm today as she accused DS2 of trying to drag her child off a swing when in fact he had pushed the chain of the swing that her child was sitting on. She assumed that he was violent. He isn't, he is a softy who is scared of people he doesn't know. But she had decided Autism meant he was a danger to her kid. I held myself together and then bawled my eyes out when I was away from her (she had heard me tell another Mum with a child with additional needs that he had autism).

And SW has fallen to bits Grin, I'm so bad at it. So I ordered 18 days worth of Exante and I will use that whenever it arrives, the cost makes me stick to it.

What happened to your leg Pom? Are you ok? I hope you have a lovely party tomorrow. The Zone seems to be evading us all at the moment, don't feel too bad. When you are fasting how many calories do you have in a day?

Rachey how much is a small amount of food? Are you likely to go on a murderous rampage because someone ate a doughnut within 15 feet of you? I'll be on 600 cals a day when my Exante arrives, I too shall be murderous. The dress is lovely, do you mind me asking what size it it? I need some goals.

How are you Green?

Racheyg · 09/07/2017 06:27

Wow sol the school system sounds amazing. I'm glad you have got all the support. People like that woman in the park are just ignorant they only see what they want to see.

Of course you can ask the dress is a 12. I think with this diet I'm consuming about 800 on non exercise days and 1000 on exercise days. I'm really struggling with no carbs, actually I'm really struggling in general but I've come this far and I don't want to give up, although I've actually put body fat on as well as muscle Blush maybe this is my true weight?

Well done for buying exante, when do you start?

Greenrabbit · 10/07/2017 09:31

Morning everyone.
Re-starting Exante today. Last week ended up having too many social activities to stick at it properly. I really struggled for the first week too. But I managed to lose a few pounds and they've stayed off.

I'll post properly later. I have all day free and have decided to tackle the children's rooms and toy area (I know I will regret this by lunchtime!)

Racheyg · 11/07/2017 20:51

Hi green well done on start exante, how is it going?

How did sorting out the kids bedrooms go? I need to sort the kids toys out, but I just can't find the time.

sol how you getting on?

pom how are things with you?

It was ds1 4th birthday today. Can't believe my little baby is growing up so quick. I only work half a day and then treated him to an ice cream as he still not back at school as has chicken pox.

I'm very nervous about tomorrow my pt is taking my measurements again I'm worried about failure. I've just been for a 5k run hoping to undo the amount of birthday cake I consumed on Sunday

SolitudeSometimesIs · 11/07/2017 21:50

A child free day and you're spending it cleaning Green, you mad woman, you should be feet up and watching crap on the telly in peace. How is the Exante going?

Happy Birthday to Baby Rachey, how is he getting over the chicken pox? Don't be be nervous about tomorrow, I'm sure it will be fine. And you won't be a failure if you haven't lost inches, it's only the start of your training and you have to live your life too.

I'm waiting for my Exante and then I will start. I seem to be eating circles around myself as I wait for the delivery. I'm going to do it as a 20 day challenge and stick to it and see how I do. I'm really eager to see how it goes.

Greenrabbit · 11/07/2017 22:09

Exante hasn't been too terrible so far. I really struggled the other week with just having the meal replacements so I've decided to just have two of those and a low carb meal. That seems more sensible for me at the moment.

I only sorted one bedroom. It took forever. I wish I hadn't started, watching TV would have been much better.

Happy Birthday to DS Rachey. Is he feeling any better now? He is a week older than DD2!
Don't worry about tomorrow. I'm sure you've done really well. Well impressed that can run 5k!

How are you feeling now Sol? When does DS start school?
The school I worked in had an inclusion unit. They do seem to benefit the children more. Ignore (or punch) nasty people, she sounds stupid.

Hope you are well Pom

I'm glad to hear Exante is going well for you Green, tidying is the biggest pain in the arse - I'm never going to be one of those wonder housewives. Have you read that Kondo book? My DH did but I didn't, he said it was great.

DS2 will start school in Sept 2019 he will be five and a half and I think the extra time will give him some time to catch up a little. He will also, fingers crossed we get a place, go to an ASD pre-school in Sept 2018 for a year. But as the saying goes, make plans and the universe laughs, so we shall see.

How did you get on with your trainer Rachey?

How are you Pom?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/07/2017 19:15

Just a tiny rant:

Exante have changed the recipe for some of the meals. how annoying! I have booked a holiday for me and DH so I need to stick to my diet so I am not some sort of flump when I go away.

Greenrabbit · 16/07/2017 10:52

Which ones have changed Sol? I hadn't noticed but I'm still using some up that I bought at the beginning of the year.
Where are you going?

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/07/2017 15:07

The ham, mushroom and pasta soup is different, I used to love it's generous noodleness, now it's very sparse. And there isn't as much rice in the Indian rice - which still tastes the same but isn't as ricey. I got the fajitas too which are really tasty but I can't cook the tortilla properly, it just falls to pieces. And they don't make the carbonara any more, I loved it.

I'm doing ok sticking to it, but it is tough going. We had a picnic t the weekend and I was trying to make a bar last the whole afternoon while everyone tucked in to wraps, fruit, crisps and biscuits.

I forgot to put up my start weight, it was 210lbs.
Goal weight 200lbs.
I'm doing a 20 day challenge so I will see how I get on.
I'm also starting The Shred tonight, eeeek!

Greenrabbit · 17/07/2017 18:09

That's a shame. I'm not a fan of many of the savoury meals, although I've tried the Laska soup and chicken and leek soup and liked them.

Well done for the weekend. It's hardest when other people are eating all the nice stuff. The 10lb will be gone in no time!

I lost almost 7lb last week. I've done a mix of Exante and low carb meals. I was too hungry just doing Exante (2 weeks ago) I felt really ill. It's been much easier having some real food, I've haven't been very hungry. Hopefully I can stick to it and break some bad habits over the summer (wine!)
I might try to have days with just 3 Exante products though, just to use up the savoury stuff really. Plus I want to lose another 20lb in the next 10 weeks.
Still got another 50lb to lose altogether (at least) Sad

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/07/2017 20:55

7lbs is bloody brilliant Green!!!!! You must be delighted. You are doing so well.

I can't look at my overall number for weightloss, it's too much, I break it down in to 10 lb chunks, it's less scary that way.

I'm trying to avoid wine too, I am off booze Monday to Thursday but I usually have a drink on Thursday night and don't really bother with Friday unless it's been one of those days - and I'm only allowed a drink on Sunday if the bottle is open and has some left in it. I sound like a raging drinker, but I only have two and then fall asleep.

What have you been eating for your low carb meals? I get a bit stuck when it comes to low carb. I think all the carbs in Slimming World led to my binging cycle, I just can't stop once I start.

What meals do you have left? I usually add lots of herbs and spices to make them taste better, I can give you some suggestions if you let me know what you have. Also there are facebook selling/swapping pages for Exante food that you don't like.

I did The Shred earlier with DS1 and 2 "helping ", it was no where near as bad as I was thinking and I didn't even have to stop once. We'll see if I can walk down the stairs tomorrow though.

How are you getting on Pom and Rachey?

Racheyg · 17/07/2017 22:51

Sorry I have been mia. Busy at work then we went to peppa pig world have had lots of socials Grin

green 7lbs is amazing, well done. It goes to show the depriving yourself isn't best and the combo that you are doing is workin well for you.

Are you doing anything nice for dd birthday? Hope she has a great day. Have you done anymore tiding? I so need a sort out I just struggle to find the time.

sol well done on completing the shred. It's great to gets ds's involved. When I did my hiit work outs ds1 loved doing it with me. He does better lunges than me. I agree breaking weight loss into chunks, it doesn't sound so daunting.

I'm not doing so well back here, I'm not focus and I feel like I'm wasting 600. I know my pt knows what's right but I just can't stick to his diet plan. I'm putting weigh on and the not doing enough cardio is really getting me down. I've only got 9 more sessions and can't really afford any more. I may have to re visit this nxt year

Racheyg · 17/07/2017 22:53

Pressed send too quickly

What I mean is maybe I should be doing this closer to my wedding so I'm more focused

Pomegranatepompom · 18/07/2017 11:32

Sorry life hectic - will try and post later.
Well done on losses. 7lbs is amazing Green
Good luck on 20 day challenge Sol and well done on the the shred (Hope you can still move today).
Think closer to the wedding is a good idea Rachey Also you don't have much to lose now, so it's much harder.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 21/07/2017 10:17

Sooooo, I fell off the Exante wagon and in to an Indian takeaway and a bottle of wine. To be fair, it had been planned for a while so I knew I was going off plan. Oh well, back to the little packets of misery for me. I'm not daring to weigh in for the next few days.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 21/07/2017 20:19

I am so hungry tonight, properly starving. I am working my way through an Exante bar and I feel really hard done by. I really want to order a takeaway but I know I will feel like shit after eating it and especially when I weigh in tomorrow. I am trying to break this cycle of eating on plan during the week and then going wild at the weekend and starting over on Monday. Has anyone any advice?

How are you finding your low carb meals Green? I'm thinking of adding a low carb meal when I get to 199 lbs (200lbs is my first goal), if I could have a tofu salad or quorn curry I know I would feel fuller in the evenings and would maybe not feel as if I am missing out.

But I seem to have acquired will power somewhere along the way because this time last week I would have definitely rung the local Chinese takeaway. I like seeing the scales go down every time I weigh myself, I like that my belly has reduced. I took some pics last week of me in leggings and a tight vest top so I can look at them to remind me why I need to stay on plan - they were so depressing.

I'm sorry I'm on here blabbing away and saying absolutely nothing of substance. I need to keep myself busy.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 21/07/2017 20:27

I just worked out my BMI and I am moderately obese Shock

Greenrabbit · 22/07/2017 09:12

Hi Sol are you feeling any better today? How has the weigh in gone? Well done on not getting a takeaway.

The low carb meals are working out pretty well. I've been having an Exante bar each day, a meal and a couple of low carb snacks.
I had a good read of the Low carb bootcamp threads on MN. It's been really helpful.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 23/07/2017 17:18

Hi Green, the weigh in went well and I'm down to 204 lbs. I didn't order a takeaway but we went to a restaurant for a family dinner this afternoon so I was off plan, but I didn't eat much and I and I asm desperate to be under 200lbs soon.

I think you are doing brilliantly Green, you really seem to be motivated. Do you think that the low carb diet might be for you long term?

Racheyg · 23/07/2017 22:02

Hey guys,
I'm so sorry ds2 has had the worst case of pox. All in his mouth and genitals it's been a miserable week. He still has them but he was his cheeky happy self today.

sol wow that's an amazing loss. Well done avoiding the takeaway and wine. I have to take them sort of pics to, I'm hoping it's true that the camera adds 10 lbs

green how's your low carbing going? Did your dd have a good birthday?

pom how are things with you?

I'm taking a step back from dieting these next few weeks have oh and my birthday and lots of social things. I will try and been sensible when I can. I'm still weight training and defo see a change in my arms and legs.
I weighed in on Saturday and I'm 64kg I gave no idea what that is in st and lbs. I'm avoiding working it out.

Racheyg · 26/07/2017 20:45

Oh dear guys. I have just brought a new bag. I feel sick. Oh made me do it. I never would have spent all that money otherwise

(Not so) New Mums: Hand holding while we work on new bodies.
Pomegranatepompom · 27/07/2017 07:11

Hello, sorry for being mia again, we were away. I've not weighed in because I'm thinking fish and chips and ice cream won't have helped. I had managed to lose 3lbs pre break. I imagine it's back on !
Super well done Sol and Green and gym bunny Rachey
Lovely bag, is it a Clifton?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 27/07/2017 21:11

Oh Rachey that bag is fab! I think your OH was right to persuade you to get it. How is your DS2? Chicken pox are nasty.

How was your break Pom? Did you go anywhere nice? FIsh and chips and ice cream sound like essential foods in the nice weather. But yeah, maybe avoid the scales for a week or so.

I've been trudging along with Exante, though I took a few days off as we had family visiting. I ate the sachets for breakfast and lunch most days, but it was harder with dinner. However, I have been feeling dodgy since last night and it turns out that my nephew had been ill before he arrived - lovely. Thankfully my SIL has gone home with the kids, but I have been queasy.
