I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Well done expanding, Ijust, and thistoo! Brilliant work.

Sharing you have worked really hard. It's is shit when the scales don't recognise that. But you have worked hard. I would second speaking to the PT. You are paying them to help you and that should be on nutrition and understanding your body too.

Coco it's difficult to squeeze even more into life. I force myself out. Like thistoo I book a class, and I'm tight with certain things so the thought of paying a no show fine makes me go. Wink

I have no idea whether I've gained, lost, stayed the same. I'm on a visiting family holiday and no scales. So I just have to behave myself!

Good luck for this week.

Kreeshsheesh · 11/04/2016 08:53

Apparently I've lost just under 1lb, however I may have weighed myself after breakfast last time. I'm surprised really as been eating rubbish whilst away.
Well done to everyone who has shifted some weight!
Michelle, I know that feeling, it's rubbish when that happens. Keep going though. I'll bet it does make a difference and you will still be fitter than people who don't exercise at all. Claire when I did Slimming World the consultant was very surprised as I lost nothing in the first week. I did lose 1st 9 in the end overall though but very very slowly! Cocoa and This - same here! I'm back to work this week and it'll be the crazy routine of school/work (DH and I both teachers), sorting kids & homework, doing more school work and bed. I've lost count of the amount of times we've literally had no down time in the evenings. It doesn't help that ds (7) is wired to the moon and often still awake at 10pm and coming through to tell us things. When you add all this up, it's easy to see why I make bad food decisions at times. It's so easy to snack or take the easy option which doesn't involve cooking, but invariably involves higher calories! The other issue is that lunch is provided at work and the healthier options aren't that good, especially for someone who doesn't eat meat. There are many many puddings with custard...

ijustwanttobeme · 11/04/2016 09:46

sharing please please do not give up. I agree with PPs who said speak to your PT., as exercising can add muscle which weighs more than fat, so inches will be lost but scales may show a gain. It took me a while to understand that, when I was at a low point a few years back but now it's not all about scales but my clothes fit. (For my height I was almost four stone over my ideal weight).

Please keep on posting as we'll support you all the way.

SharingMichelle · 11/04/2016 10:35

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

I am feeling better than when I posted earlier.
I saw PT this morning and he was very supportive. He said not to get hung up on the numbers, and instead look at the big picture and long goals.
He also said I wasn't eating enough.
Had a great work-out, and he was encouraging and certain that he could help me reach my goals.

Well done to all who have lost. Good for you!!

GertrudeBadger · 11/04/2016 10:46

I lost 1 lb this week - at least that's not a gain this week...arghhhhh! I have to find some time to exercise as well as trying to control portions and not eat junk. Think this could be a looong diet - mind you, took best part of a year of over-eating to gain the weight so...

lorelei9here · 11/04/2016 14:29

Sharing, I am so feeling your pain. You had 1000 cals? I take my hat off to you fir that, wish I could go that low.

SharingMichelle · 11/04/2016 17:22

Funnily enough Lorelei, my PT told me I ought to be eating more if I'm looking for sustainable weightloss, rather than dramatic loss and then put it all on again. He's all about 'speeding up my metabolism' and encourages me to eat right after a work out. Will have to see what results I get with him. Also, I'm in the first flushes of enthusiasm so I'm giving it 100%.

lorelei9here · 11/04/2016 17:31

Sharing, here did you find the energy to work out in 1000 cals?

lorelei9here · 11/04/2016 17:37

Today has been one of those days where the boredom at work nearly finished me, luckily there was no junk in. I wasn't going to buy any but I def would have caved.

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 11/04/2016 21:31

I think your PT is right about not eating enough Sharing. I know my body 'shuts down' if I starve it and hangs on to the weight. Even on Cambridge it did this - twice - and I swear the consultants thought I was cheating both times but I wasn't. It's so disheartening.

lorelei9here · 11/04/2016 22:31

Expanding, how long dud you do Cambridge? Isn't that like 500 calories? I feel faint just thinking about it.

hellokittehhhh · 12/04/2016 07:56

Morning! Just checking in as it's weigh day for me.

Starting weight : 10st 6
current weight : 10st 1
lost this week : 3lb
total lb lost : 5lb
height : 5ft 2

hoping to get in to the next stone category next week.

welcome christmas!

sharing don't give up! As pp say you're more than likely not eating enough. My Base cals is 1200 for 2lb a week loss but due to cals gained through my job I usually eat about 1400. I'd collapse on a 1000!

coco I'm going to try and do some proper exercise this week. Really need to get my tummy and tops of legs toned!

have a good day Smile

BanjoPier · 12/04/2016 12:10

FFS I've put on 2lb!

I will not lose heart though, AF is due so I'm calling it water retention Grin strangely though I can do my belt in on a tighter notch today, so the fat might have just dispersed itself elsewhere on my arse

Bikinis arrived. Oh my eyes I hadn't fully comprehended how bad I had got as I tend not to look at myself in a full length mirror, and certainly not wearing skimpies.

Anyway, at least I know what I've got to do not eat from now until August

Well done to those that have lost or at least maintained - you're doing better than me.

lorelei9here · 12/04/2016 12:35

oh Banjo it's probably just water
took me ages to work out what AF was btw - to me it's "atrial fibrillation"!

VilootShesCute · 12/04/2016 21:22

12.6 today. So 3 lb loss in a week. Not sure why all I can think of is stress as I have eaten badly. Still have nearly 2 stone though despite losing 1 stone 12 lb already. Can't believe how fat I am...

ijustwanttobeme · 12/04/2016 21:57

viloot you have lost 1stone 12lbs already, so focus on how amazing that must feel and what you've achieved so far.

Took DS to Bournemouth today for his uni interview - afterwards we had lunch on the seafront. It was a beautiful sunny day, so had an ice cream too. So no dinner for me, as still full.

I've been sent a replacement jawbone UP24- a fitness tracker like the fit bit. If anyone on the thread has one and would like to add me as a friend, please let me know. Thanks.

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 12/04/2016 22:24

Lorelei I promise to post the Cambridge details tomorrow evening. I'm cwtched up in bed now and my old record cards are in the kitchen. It was so tough and so not worth it.

VilootShesCute · 12/04/2016 22:45

Thanks justwanttobe. Thought I'd feel different after a bit of loss but still just look and feel like a pudding. Sounds like a lovely day in the sun for you. Ice cream. Mmmmm...

lorelei9here · 12/04/2016 23:14

Expanding, that's sweet but don't worry about digging stiff out, I was just curious and feeling a bit down.

Viloot, that's great, well done.

SharingMichelle · 13/04/2016 05:50

Morning all.

I am feeling as fat as ever. Goodness me I am impatient. This cartoon always makes me giggle / cry

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 13/04/2016 05:55

No problem. Hope you're feeling better. The first time I was on it for 11 weeks and went from 13st 3 to 11st 2.. Just over a year later I was 12st4 and went on it for 10 weeks and stopped at 11st6 after toggling between 11st3 and 11st 8 for 6 weeks without cheating. I won't be doing it again.

VilootShesCute · 13/04/2016 07:18

Sharing that made me laugh. In fact I think I lost half a pound of snot as I snorted so loud. Must weigh myself quickly...

Claire28will · 13/04/2016 08:11

I weighed myself on Sunday stupidly because I only want to try and weigh once a week on a Monday and I'm busting to bounce on the scales now! It's going to be a long week waiting, I need to see results when I'm being this good! Or deprived whatever way i look at it Grin

Claire28will · 13/04/2016 08:13

Sharing I'm also feeling impatient I keep thinking where I would be if I had of stuck to this in January, only 2 weeks before I have to get into a swimsuit now Confused

SharingMichelle · 13/04/2016 08:25

So, I threw all my toys out of the pram 2 days ago when I had apparently not lost a bean. I just weighed myself again and seem to have lost 4.5 lbs. I think I might need new scales.
