Schneebly !!!! If you haven't been since Sunday ... that's amazing you've lost 2lbs! After baby births, I found Senokot did the trick, and not violently. Def take something if you don't go today iyswim. Will you let us know? We're all caught up in this little mini drama now.

LittleMiss - it was a tremendous help. Thank you thank you thank you thank you
.
I have replied to your email address because I don't suppose you'll be back on here today, what with frantic house-tidying before Estate Agent comes. I do hope, man-flu or not, your DH helps with that.

Well, I am having a horrible time of it lately, and now the icing on the cake is:

DD (6th birthday today) has been sent home from school, poorly, and I have had to cancel her birthday tea and phone all the Mums who thought I was having their DDs here after school. She has stomach ache and I have a vomit phobia! Normally DH takes care of the kids if they have anything wrong tummy-wise (my phobia is quite severe) but he has had to go and see his accountant. So DD is lying on sofa watching DVDs, with bowl strategically placed, and I am hiding in the other room on Mumsnet incase she actually is sick.

Am really looking forward to life picking up a bit, tbh. .

JackieNo · 11/01/2007 12:22

Oh no - poor you twoisenoughmum. I do hope it passes - your poor DD not being able to have her birthday tea, too. I do hope things start picking up for you soon.

littlemisssensible · 11/01/2007 12:39

Glad to be of help TIEM! I hope it all works out ok! By the way I re-read your e-mail today and realised you had given me a year end but it did just confirm what I'd suggested!

Unfortuanetly I've gotta work because we're toooo busy for me to sneak a day off! So I'll be manically tidying at 3.30 after I've picked up dd from school. That gives me 2 hours!

I 'Hope' dh is at home tidying as we speak....seeing as he's skived off with 'man flu' but as I was the one shoving xmas decs in the attic at 8.00am today because he felt too 'poorly' I'm not holding my breath!

Bloody men

Still I'm feeling calmer having finished a rather yummy full cream and choc meringue to celebrate a collegue's birthday!!! I'm sure the calories don't count when you're stressed!

coppertop · 11/01/2007 15:45

I hope you find a way out of whatever the problem is, TIEM.

I hope your problem finds it way out, Schneebly.

I've actually made an effort and e-mailed but just in case it doesn't get there I've lost a whole pound. Yay!

JackieNo · 11/01/2007 15:46

Well done coppertop. I've just emailed too - have stayed the same, which is fine considering the amount of rubbish I've eaten this week.

EeyoreIsFab · 11/01/2007 16:17

Well done Schneebly, JackieNo & Coppertop!
I weighed myself this morning and found I'd lost 3 and a half pounds, then promptly had two slices of toast covered in buttery spread for breakfast - oopps, better not get carried away!

Dottydot · 11/01/2007 16:22

Huge amounts of sympathy TIEM - my dp has got a vomit phobia as well and it's awful. Luckily I'm OK with it so I get to deal with poorly ds's, but she really worries when I'm away - which is only once or twice a year, and they're very healthy boys, but the phobia is so strong she worries like mad when I'm not there.

Have you ever tried anything to get rid of the phobia - only asking because dp's tried CBT and Hypnotherapy and neither have worked, but both are said to work well with lots of people.

Meanwhile I'm getting weighed tonight and am not looking forward to it - don't seem to have made much progress on the eating sensibly front...

twoisenoughmum · 11/01/2007 18:56

Dotty - yes, I keep meaning to get an appointment with GP to start the process of confronting this phobia. Trouble is, to get an appointment, you have to phone the surgery between 8.30am and 8.40am - otherwise they've all gone for the day. And at that time of the day I am always concentrating frantically on getting the dcs ready for school/nursery. Keeps slipping my mind. Next Thursday (next day free without children so I will be able to do appointment anytime) I will ask DH to phone surgery on my behalf on his mobile on way to work. Sympathies to your DP. Its a common phobia. Strangely enough, I suddenly thought I would be able to manage today and sent DH off for his appointment with accountant even though he offered to postpone it.

P.S. She didn't vomit. Think she was suffering from same problem as Schneebly!! She is on iron for anaemia and it all gets a little bit problematic in that department sometimes, sorry if tmi.

Dottydot · 11/01/2007 19:16

I know just what you mean - being on iron myself!

Can report, with some relief, a weight loss of 2lbs!!!

twoisenoughmum · 11/01/2007 20:52

Well done Dotty! All you losers (ykwim) are an inspiration. Am seriously going to try and join the losers club next week ...

flutterbee · 11/01/2007 22:28

Well I have just weighed myself for the first time in a while and have put on around 1stone, WWB will be able to tell me the exact amount when she posts the results but either way it is a big big big gain that nearly undoes everything I have done so far

Next week is a new week, the diet started in full swing today so fingers crossed from here on in.

agalch · 12/01/2007 07:46

Morning all

Flutterbee,(((hugs))).Don't beat yourself up,i know you must feel like crap. But if you managed to lose it you CAN do it again.Hope you are ok this morning xx

Going to try on dresses and shoes in the bridal shop this morning. If i see something i like i'm gonna just buy it.i hate shopping and i don't want to try on millions of dresses and pick the one i liked in the 1st shop which is what i usually do.

After going to my class last night and losing again i celebrated with 2 very large glasses of rose and some crackers with peanut butter.twas lovely lol.

Have a good day

schneebly · 12/01/2007 08:50

I just thought you would all like to know that my problem has indeed found its way out and I am feeling mcuh better

flutterbee - I had put on over 1.5 stone from the first time I joined so much more than you! You can lose it again just stick with it and dont beat yourself up - the important thing is thath you are doing something about it. xxx

justamum · 12/01/2007 09:47

I stayed the same which is a small victory for me although not good for week 1, maybe I'll confound my expectations and get better at eating well not worse as the weeks go on.
Flutterbee, you lost it once and you can do it again!

agalch · 12/01/2007 10:15

Hey Schneebly bet you feel a whole lot lighter now lol

WigWamBam · 12/01/2007 11:32

Sorry for the delay again this week ... rather alarming dash to the emergency doctor with dd last night, and had to take her to our own surgery this morning. All's under control now though ... so here's the weights!

Agalch: -5lb (total 5lb)
BabySmurf: -4lb (total 4lb)
Coppertop: -1lb (total 7lb)
DottyDot: -2lb (total 12.5lb)
EeyoreIsFab: -3.5lb (total 3.5lb)
JackieNo: Stayed the same (total 29lb)
Justamum: Stayed the same
Schneebly: -2lb (total 2lb)
TwoIsEnough: Stayed the same (+1lb)
WWB: -2lb (total 15lb)

Someone with the initials MS emailed me with a lovely loss of 4.5lb but forgot to put her nickname on the email and I can't work out who she is ... let me know!

Flutterbee, I've started you off with a new card, so I haven't listed a gain for you. New card, new start.

So this week's crown belongs to Agalch, but I think BabySmurf, Eeyore and our anonymous MS deserve a big round of applause too.

Well done everyone.
