I do really well until Wednesdays and then i just crumble and give in to temptation.

Was hoping to lose 2 lbs this week (weigh in on Tues am) but out fri and sat night so no hope there!!

Could you kind ladies give me some ideas for snacks as this is where i have trouble.

TIA X

jenk1 · 01/02/2007 19:10

well i went and got weighed and ive only put a pound on

When i got to the scales she said "take that jacket off" and then "Thats a very heavy belt take that off" and then she said "Take your boots off you never get weighed with them on" but i refused as it takes ages to get them off and i could hear dd screaming in the car outside so she said if i had taken my boots off i,d have maintained and its STARWEEK so im mightily chuffed with that and im back on the plan again!!!!!

Hi Christie. Had to laugh when I saw you were still here. Think me and you are going to be on and off here forever!
Well got weighed and am really pleased - have only put on 1lb since 16th November last year!!!
Amazing considering what I've eaten over Christmas.

Just been to do a big shop after weigh in and now I have all the basics ready to get started tomorrow.

karenj1980 · 01/02/2007 22:57

Christie and Sparkler1 - we were all on here together.

I wasn't really feeling like that in RL just wanted to be allowed back on the thread

November is when my pc went down and there are so many new people on the thread I just didn't want to crash on saying surprise.

I've been sent some tips to make you think about diets/foods. I am happy to pass on to anyone. It's certainly made me think what I am putting into my body and that is saying something for me who has never cared as long as I lost weight!!!

karenj1980 · 01/02/2007 23:00

Shosa - well done on your loss. if that is your pattern then I would be very happy with 1lb wk1, 3lb wk 2. it works out to 7.5 stone over one year!!!!

sorry Karen not ignoring you - I just never seem to hang around long in these threads to remember everyone. I only remember Christie as I played a very norty trick on her once.

Sparkler1 · 02/02/2007 10:31

Well I'm back on the plan - sat here munching away on a banana and an apricot mullerlight for my brekkie.

BENDYB · 02/02/2007 13:21

hi every1, welcome 2 any new people & welcome back 2 karenj1980 & any1 else whos back! good luck with it!

can any1 tell me how many syns in 'tesco steam fish-2 tuna steaks with lime, chilli & ginger' I cant get onto the syns online thing, dunno why!

lurcherlass · 02/02/2007 14:55

yeh Christie, I saw that food programme too,it was interesting wasnt it? I was left thinking maybe I should do red days, coz they reckoned the protein fills you up more than carbs, but when I do, my system gets very sluggish IYKWIM....My problem is not being hungry, so much as I just love "fat food". So did that lady "Andy" not get cravings for chocs/bikkies/cake? They never mentioned that. How did she factor-in her favourite stuff? It seemed that she just did her own thing, bearing in mind the guidelines they had given her. What does everyone else make of it?

Magicmummyssweetheart · 02/02/2007 15:37

BendyB. I have Tesco shop to slim & The Food directory but I can't find those tuna in either.

The nearest I can find is:

Tuna steaks in lime & coriander 8.0 green free on red.

Tuna, thai style, 6.5 green 1.5 on red.

BENDYB · 02/02/2007 16:45

thanks 4 looking magicmummyssweetheart, i think they might be a new thing as i only noticed them the other day.
Does any1 else know? oh well i had them anyway so hope they weren't 2 bad!!!

lurcherlass · 03/02/2007 11:27

No, can't find them either. Try working them out on the syns calculator on the SW website. All the figures you need should be on the box- oops, I guess you chucked it! I don't think they'd be much as its only a marinade LOL

BENDYB · 04/02/2007 17:19

yeah dont think they would've been much, really nice though! i tried doin it on the calculator but on the box it didn't have the info per 100g so i wasn't sure how!

fireflyfairy2 · 04/02/2007 21:57

Whoops....

I got weighed on Wednesday, & did excellent on Thur & Fri, even yesterday. But I went out for a meal yesterday & had a roast dinner & soup for starters. Then last night dh was having a take away (he wasn't out for the meal with us) & I had half his prtion of chicken & sweetcorn soup from the chinese.

Today I have the flu. Had 2 poached eggs & ww toast for tea, & I have just had 2 slices of white bread & a pkt of crisps I have cravings for naughty food now that I have had a bag of crisps

Will try to behave though.... have yo lose weight this week.

How're y'all doing?

Sparkler1 · 04/02/2007 22:05

Hi FFF - don't worry about it, what's done is done. Remember those flexi syns Tomorrow is a new day.
I've been doing ok, I think. First day back on was Friday and I was really good, really good yesterday as well except I chose to have two glasses of wine instead of sticking to one so that took me over to 16 syns - oops!
Been really good today as well. In fact, I haven't stopped feeding my face today and I am feeling really full up after a huge tea. I still have a Healthy A left and two Healthy Bs - not sure I'm going to use them though. Saved all my syns today and just had a Mars Bar (14 syns) and it was blimmin' lovely. Must say I do feel a bit sick now.

karenj1980 · 04/02/2007 22:16

fff - i'm with sparkler. tomorrow is definately a new day!!

I've been drinking lots of water (with a little sugar free squash). It's working wonders iykwim

Have really been thinking about the amount of water I have not been drinking. One of the tips I have is about drinking at least 2.5 litres of water a day. I didn't realise that my metobolism is linked to the amount of water I drink. The more water I drink the more my metobolism works. I would be the first to take a diet coke over a glass of water.

I was so proud of myself on Friday. Went to the harvester and had a Stuffed Butternut Squash and it was lush along with loads of salad. I asked for some tap water - they bought a jug - I drank the whole lot

Hi Karenj I am confused about your water and metabolism theory. Did your consultant tell you that?

karenj1980 · 04/02/2007 23:13

i was hardly drinking any water so was def dehydrated! Its whats working on me at the mo. My metabolism (eg doesn't burn any fat) when I stick to diet coke etc
