Hi I am a lurker who very occasionally posts, but just had to tell you that I made the rice pudding it was FANTASTIC!! I microwaved it for about 5mins, then stuck it in the oven (as it was on) topped it up with boiling water. Then had it with fromfrais & splenda wonderful Thank you

tiger8565 · 30/01/2007 22:31

change a few things, it's easy to get stuck in a rut....if you always do green days, do a few red days....

I was stuck over xmas for about 6 weeks, not gaining but not losing either..VERY frustrating..

Maybe introduce a bit of exercise? I did a lot anyway...

Changing my brekkies to something lighter helped, and writing down what you actually eat defo brings up some things that maybe have slipped in there as free, but are not

good luck x

Firefly - the sausages are Tesco's own "meat free" range. They come in a green box. They are a little bit synthetic (that wasn't meant to be "syns" joke ) but quite a good flavour and of course free - which would make cardboard palatable in my opinion!! Also the cheese melts out of them when they are cooked which seems quite decadent and not remotely "diet-y"!! Hope you find them.

loobysmum · 30/01/2007 23:13

MJ - meant to say, its my dd's 2nd birthday tomorrow so I will be facing the birthday cake dilemma too .... you are not alone! Someone suggested pouring soapy water over the leftovers to ensure you don't pick at them (obviously just putting them in the bin is not enough for some people ). I think perhaps I'll have to pour battery acid over dd's!

Furball · 31/01/2007 07:10

well i lost another 1 lb yesterday and that included a meal out last friday!

Mandymoo · 31/01/2007 09:38

ok - decided to do my first red day today as i want to make spag bol with lean mince for tea. If i pad it out with mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc and then the measured amount of pasta, that should be ok? Could i add some stock too? Are they syns? Thanks!!

tiger8565 · 31/01/2007 09:43

the veg is all free, and possible 1/1.5 syn for the stock??? measure your pasta as a HE....

mm....having wheatabix crumbled into muller light...and it's actually quite nice (I could never stomach it the traditional way with milk!!)

Fireflyfairy2 · 31/01/2007 09:52

Well Done Furball!!!! Every lb counts!!

I didn't like the cous cous cake in the end.. but Dh loved it. He even took some to work with him today. I put Mandarin Muller light in it as I had no lemon & lime. Maybe I made the mistake of trying it warm? Dh said it was nicer cold.

Have weigh-in tonight & I have tried my best all week.. haven't had bread since last Wednesday.. so hoping I have at least some weight off!

Joby1970 · 31/01/2007 13:36

Hi All,

I've stuck at the same weight for most of January too.. perhaps its the cold weather! I've found out this week that a nearby butchers does SW receipes (syn free or low syn) so I'm off there this weekend. Maybe I'll try a few red days to see if it helps...been nearly veggie since starting SW back on 31.08.06 as green days really fill me up.

I'm gonna make the Smadh Pizza this weeknd for my mum & see what she thinks - she loves the SW Chilli

Mandymoo · 31/01/2007 15:42

anyone know how many syns in a saffron bun? TA XX

jenk1 · 31/01/2007 16:19

I lost a lb this week, but have been yo-yo-ing around since the end of November. Got to my club 10 weight then, and can't seem to go any further. But we've just booked our first holiday in 2.5 years - we're going to Spain at the end of April, so I have 3 months to lose this stone that just won't shift.

Fascinated by this smash pizza - is the recipe further down this thread and I'm just missing it or is it on an old one?

shauna72 · 31/01/2007 22:48

Well done everyone on their weight losses. I lost 1lb yesterday but still have 13 lbs to go to club 10 and then another 10lbs to PAT. But only been doing 2 weeks. I also can't find the SMASH pizza recipe, would someone mind repeating it or linking me to what thread it was on?
Does anyone have any good ideas for quick and easy red meals?? Or what to do with a red day chilli, ie what to eat with it as rice has so many syns per oz

bobby2 · 31/01/2007 23:10

I have had an annus horriblis (or whatever the queen calls it) and I kicked my husband out, my mum is dying of cancer and the only good thing is that after years of being a fatty I lost 2 and a half stone through stress. I feel fab!!! the only thing is that I am now getting comfy and eating again and scared of putting it on again. I was literally eating nothing for 3 months cos my stomach was in knots, now things have settled down I am hungry as normal people are. How am I going to keep it up , I couldn't bear to put it on as it is the only good thing to come out of this bad time.

loobysmum · 31/01/2007 23:19

The Smash pizza recipe is on this thread - posted by jenk1 on 17 January! bobby2 - good luck with keeping the weight off. You certainly sound like you've had a dreadful time. This thread provides lots of support and some great tips and ideas to keep your diet from getting dull, so good luck.

bobby2 · 31/01/2007 23:26

Thanks, it is nice to have compliments about my weightloss, however if a new man is going to enter my life he might be worried about me wolfing down a 2lb jar of beetroot of an evening

karenj1980 · 31/01/2007 23:57

I haven't been on for ages - my laptop broke so I am finally back.

I have lost 32.5lb since April. It is taking such a long time.

Keep slipping up and having the scenic route. Starting to get compliments, the more compliments I get, the more CURED i feel and tend to eat to celebrate the weight loss, grrr!!! So I am going to start a clothes fund. Put in a £1 for every pound I lose and 50p for every compliment I get on the weight loss. I still have 4 stone to go but I am chipping away at it.

Password is walking - I think! x

Well done on everyones losses So many of you on here.

I am intrigued by the Smash pizza. I tried the batch in sauce quiche, I wasn't keen I am afraid.

katylou25 · 01/02/2007 12:41

lost 2.5lb last night even with the naughty indian so am very chuffed and got me my half stone sticker! Am going to look for the smash recipe and have a go as it keeps gettting praised.

Joby1970 · 01/02/2007 12:55

REMINDER - thanks to Jenk1 - to save you all scrolling down

smash pizza

packet of smash, make up with boiling water but only a bit so its like dough, roll it out, make sure you roll it on a baking tray like a pizza/chip tray cos it sticks.

Cook in oven for 10mins until crisp.

Add passata, mushrooms, peppers, onions and cheese from your HE allowance if wanted then put back in oven

Always try & go to class no matter how bad you think you've been - its the support in class (& on here) that really works & if possible always try & stay for Image therapy.. I think SW did a survey & found people who stayed to Image Therapy lost more weight more quickly than those who didn't stay

lurcherlass · 01/02/2007 18:01

Bobby, you have been through a terrible time and survived. I'm sure you must feel a new respect for yourself and for how you've coped. You must be a strong person to have come out the other side in one piece. Tell yourself you deserve a nice, trim body and promise yourself that you'll keep what you've achieved. Go girl!!

Sparkler1 · 01/02/2007 18:03

I'm going back to group again tonight. 4th time lucky
Dread to think how much I've put on since I last went back in November
