Blossom, try a skinny cow triple choc lolly, just 5 syns, lasts for ages and is nice and creamy. Leave it out of the fridge for a few minutes to soften a tiny bit and it seems to be more creamy.

I decided to join my consultant in the sponsored slimathon for 6 weeks, had a weigh in yesterday, thank heavens those sponsoring me dont't require a weekly report 5 weeks to go

tkband3 · 24/01/2007 20:42

Hello everyone

haven't had time to read the whole thread (it's a bit long ) but wondered if I could join you all? I've been going to sw since last july and have so far lost 1st 4.5lbs (at the most) and have got my club 10 but am finding it difficult to lose the next stone. I have some days where I'm really good and others where I'm just awful. Today I craved chocolate and found a twix bar in the cupboard (was probably out of date!) but I ate it anyway .

I got engaged on my birthday just before Christmas and we're hoping to get married later this year, but I'm determined to be a size 12 again by then (haven't lost the weight I gained from 3 babies in 2 years - singleton then twins).

I have my weigh-in and group on a tuesday so would love the extra incentive/encouragement from here too! Yesterday I'd gained 1.5lbs so am definitely going to lose that this week (except for the twix ).

Hi Maz and Loobysmum (and everyone)

Sorry I haven't been here for a while, I lost the thread and it took me ages to find the right one (doh!!)

I can't believe what that woman said to you Loobysmum! (your post on 4th Jan - yes I have missed a month!) I am about the same height and weight as you and I want to get to about 10 and a half stone which is roughly half a stone more than I weighed before my two sons came along. To be honest if I get to 11st and I am happy that will do me to be honest, I just want to lose weight steadily and be a normal size, I am fed up not being able to get jeans past my thunderthighs! If I CAN get them past my chunkylunks I then find I have masses of fabric gaping round my waist - aaaaargh!!!!!

On another topic entirely, tried these today and they were delicious -

Tesco 'Meat Free' Spinach and Ricotta Sausages, 6 pack, 50g each
FREE on Red and Green

Soooo yummy, I ate three in one sitting!!

Right best go, DH is late home from work and I haven't moved from the PC since I got the boys to bed over an hour ago! At least I am catching up on the thred now!!

Love JBB XX

Lurcherlass thanks for the sweet ideas, def trying these things over the next (was going to say hour!) week or so. Never thought of adding the other stuff to muller lite but that sounds great. What do you all think a reasonable weight loss is for a week? I lost 3lbs in the first week but had been so good I expected more, weigh in tomorrow and not expecting it to be even as good as the last one. How embarrassing, do you get told off if you haven't lost much? Oh god I don't want to go....

ledodgy · 24/01/2007 22:42

Weighed in tonight and stayed the same but am very happy with that. I had 130 syns this week and only 10 of those was food the rest was alcohol. I had people round on Friday night and then went out into town Saturday night and then went to my friend's sister's on Monday night and drank more wine! I did my workout dvd 3 times and played badminton last night in the hope it would balance out and thankfully it did.We had a laugh tonight the consulant's boss turned up to the session before ours and apparently she is a complete bitch she told the earlier group that she liked being a SW manager because she earns £892 a day! That cannot be true but what was funny was that a woman in our group who'd left her group due to her being a cow works for the inland revenue so is going to look into it.

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/01/2007 23:02

I had 1.5lb on tonight But I missed last weeks calss as I was ill & dd has been ill all week, so it's been totally pants here

But, onwards & upwards. Will get in more exercise this week... with Davina & charlie

ledodgy · 24/01/2007 23:06

Aww sorry you and your dd haven't been well. My 13 month old ds has the pox atm and dd isn't well either just hopoing she doesn't become spotty. Get well Soon.

Martha200 · 24/01/2007 23:12

grr.. the server for sw is too busy and I can't get in.. want to look up syns for the tuna in mango chutney (ww) and something else which I have forgotton!

ledodgy · 24/01/2007 23:35

In class today I was looking through a magazine from 2003 and did you know syns were spelt sins then.

Martha200 · 24/01/2007 23:59

yes, i remember being surprised when I learnt that! Didn't they change the spelling to try and get rid of the guilt from a sin? I might be wrong.. syns are supposed to be used aren't they, so if people read sin, I suppose it makes some sense.

ledodgy · 25/01/2007 00:03

Yeah I think now it's supposed to mean synergy or something. I think I prefer sins though as it just looks like they spelt it wrong.

shauna72 · 25/01/2007 06:58

Hello there everyone! Do you think I could join in? I had my dd 10 weeks ago and joined SW last week as I am so depressed with my weight. Still got stone and 3 pounds to go to pre-pregnancy weight but I can't get into any of my bottoms and look like I have a Vicki Pollard overhang.Lost 2 and half pounds in first week but could do with all the help in the world! Have worked out though that the tiny green and black's choc bars (16g) are 4 syns-yummy!!

Mumbojumbo · 25/01/2007 08:32

Hi Martha

The website is still down this morning

I've had a peek in my directory and Mango chutney is 2 syns on green or orig for 1 level tbsp. This is in the unbranded section so WW might be a bit less.

Website it back up!

Bet it's all the new members checking it out and the server crashed!

ledodgy · 25/01/2007 11:30

I can get onto the website but when I click on recipe archive or something it won't go there and is saying there are errors on the page.

Joby1970 · 25/01/2007 13:09

For all Chocolate lovers/ cravers out there.

I was told that if you take CHROMIUM supplement ( you can get them in Holland & Barrett) - it'll help ease wour chocolate cravings....

peachespaige · 25/01/2007 15:29

Hello, I hope you can help. On sw it says you can use your syns for a night out. But how many? If you can have between 5 and 15 a day does that mean you can save 15 day day for 5 days and use them all or what? We have friends coming over and Id love a bottle of wine, Im not sure how many syns to a bottle is it 27? Thanks (have also posted this as a main thread, sorry)

Fireflyfairy2 · 25/01/2007 15:31

Hi shauna 72

Fireflyfairy2 · 25/01/2007 15:36
