I have 10 stone to lose overall. There, I said it. No going back now. I miss riding my horse, I miss being happy and I have a toddler that doesn't want a sweaty elephant for a mum.
Anyone want to join me for some moral support?

3 stone not 31 stone Ffs!

JennyOnAPlate · 31/12/2015 14:03

I would like to join too (have sent a request to the FB group)

I'm nearly 18 stone and would like to get down to 13 again. I've been this weight for about 6 years now and have completely forgotten what it's like to be thinner!

I'm crap at keeping up with threads when they get this long but I will weigh in every Monday starting on 4th.

AChickenCalledKorma · 31/12/2015 14:07

I'm in. It's years since I've been a healthy weight and I've been piling it on since going back to an office job a couple of years ago. A currently 116kg which is somewhere around 17 stone but I'm too embarrassed to do the maths! I would love to be about 100kg by the summer holidays, because that is the "maximum weight" my camping chair is designed for and I feel terrible every time I (very carefully) sit on it Blush.

Also DD2 is an overweight 10yo and I'm very aware that this is something we need to tackle as a whole family.

Rshard · 31/12/2015 14:12

Another one that doesn't do FB but I'd still love the support of this thread. I put my hat in yesterday, and went back to WW last night. To my complete amazement I'd only put on 2.5lbs! So onwards and upwards, want to lose another 4 stone. Good luck everyone

Arkkorox · 31/12/2015 14:14

Yes even though there's an fb group running alongside I would like to keep this post running too, especially as we may gain some more people along the way

Linking the FB group again for anyone that's interested! We're up to 42 members!

flyright · 31/12/2015 14:42

I'm in. 3 to 4 stone to lose. Lost 3 before by using my fitness pal app to keep an eye on calories and walking a lot. Put 2 stone of it back on which is infuriating.

Agree with PPs about measuring. I didn't do it last time and I think it will help with motivation when the scales don't move. Because they don't always move. Not week after week. The trick is keeping focused those weeks

Will weigh on 1st and off we go!

FattyNinjaOwl · 31/12/2015 15:07

gabi I will be your friend if you want. Grin
I've just bought a load more food. Hmm I blame my DC. We are having a little NYE party just for them, so whatever is left will just be for them. I won't eat it!

Underdogsbollocks · 31/12/2015 15:09

Screw it! Just made a new fb account and requested to join the group so I'm the weirdo with no friends Grin. Hopefully sending pics will give me the motivation I need.

CaffeineBomb · 31/12/2015 15:17

I'm definitely doing this and am looking forward to it! I just can't decide whether to do the weekly weigh in. I suffered with an eating disorder as a teenager and haven't had scales in the house since as I can get a bit obsessed with weighing myself.

I think I want to buy some but DH doesn't like the idea, I might just weigh myself once a fortnight at my mums?

GabiSolis · 31/12/2015 15:18

Underdogsbollocks - don't worry, I'm the same!

FattyNinjaOwl (and anyone else who fancies being my friend!) my initials are AM and my profile picture is a bright pink background with a quote about laziness on it! Hoping that won't be indictative of my 2016!

FattyNinjaOwl · 31/12/2015 15:35

Now you have a friend gabi Grin
Love that quote by the way.

GabiSolis · 31/12/2015 15:43

Ooh hello there! I was wondering which one of you guys had added me! I no longer am lonely!

Re the quote, I should really have that tattooed on me!

LittleMiss77 · 31/12/2015 15:43

caffiene why not just check your measurements instead of your weight? You'll know that you're losing if they go down and your clothes feel loose.

If you're worried about the scales, dont get any..

Ive just downloaded a c25k app and right on queue the heavens opened!

FattyNinjaOwl · 31/12/2015 15:47

It's perfect for me.
And now you will know if I'm cheating or not. If my DC are clean on any pics I post, chances are I've eaten their chocolate and need to be told off Grin

Twistedheartache · 31/12/2015 15:53

Can I join in please. Got 3-4 stone to lose. Never stuck to anything before but need to do something!
Not starting til I go back to work on Tuesday 5th though?

GabiSolis · 31/12/2015 15:58

Haha! Same here (although I haven't got any photos of my two up so the evidence will be hidden!).

missy111 · 31/12/2015 16:31

I'm planning to start the spreadsheet tonight. Do you want me to try and integrate measurements into it? The way I'm thinking is that I'll pre-enter all the headings and formulae..then people can just enter as much or as little data as you like. Means you can also post on the sheet under mn name or FB name
Any requests?

Arkkorox · 31/12/2015 16:58

I think measurements would be good. Im going to measure weekly with my weigh in i think.

I know some people won't want to disclose start weight so perhaps the option to do start weight and then each week we put the number of pounds off then either a total lost or the new weight? I don't think I'm making sense

OP posts:
missy111 · 31/12/2015 17:01

I was thinking of doing something where we put a target and losses each week, and if people want to put start weight then it will tell you how much you have gone towards target?

Dragzena · 31/12/2015 17:04

I have requested to join the group please. I am getting a bit of a head start as I have such a sore throat I can't eat.

Those of you who have lost weight successfully in the past, what methods work for you? We are on such a tight budget that I definitely can't afford clubs or special meals, is it possible to do without spending extra cash?

FattyNinjaOwl · 31/12/2015 17:08

drag I can't afford to spend more. I'm just going to eat less and try to move more (I have bad hips and back)
I'm tracking in my fitness pal.

BagelSuffragette · 31/12/2015 17:12

And now you will know if I'm cheating or not. If my DC are clean on any pics I post, chances are I've eaten their chocolate and need to be told off

That's hysterical, FattyNinjaOwl Grin

BagelSuffragette · 31/12/2015 17:14

CaffeineBomb why don't you do the measurements instead of weighing?

That would work too and you prob don't want to get scales if it will have a negative effect on your thoughts.

I'm sure that we'll see a difference just in how our clothes fit and look, even without weighing ourselves!
