welcome chuffed - it's a bit quiet on here today!

i've kept to my plan so far today - I'm surrounded by food at work which dosn't help.

Would like to start running again - might try and get out tonight.
Impressed with all your exercise!!

Sonnet · 16/06/2004 14:56

it's someones birthday in the office and I've just said "no" to the cakes!!!!

codswallop · 16/06/2004 19:31

well done sonnet

the crackers sound good - have you tried drinking diet coke and the raisins?

welcome chuffed

I thin we need a total loss post soon as I cant work out where you all are, noexcuses please

lilibet · 16/06/2004 20:14

Can I join?

I'm more of a slimming world person than weghtwatchers but I just need a bit of bullying to stick to it.

I have lost 6lb so far and am aiming for 1lb per week - I really need to look good in my wedding dress - wedding is 18th February and I need to loose 2st 4lb to be 9 stone by then.

I am doing 20 minutes on a step every morning and parking my car miles away from work. Its an effort to drink loads of water tho'.

I weigh myself every Monday

JanZ · 17/06/2004 08:54

10 stone 10lb this morning That's 6lb from the start. One more pound and I'll be able to say half a stone!

Wasn't well on Tuesday (caught a lurgy from ds) (didn't eat much over the day, but did nibble a few "bad" things as I was feeling miserable) - and was down in Reading yesterday on business.

Only bought a healthy snack at Heathrow(pineapple and bio youghurt) whereas normally I'd pig out on sweeties.

Back in the office today - lot's of catching up to do!

Welshmum · 17/06/2004 09:11

(creeps on and hopes noone really notices)I'm still 10.7. Haven't lost a thing, I feel I'm hanging on to 10.7 by the skin of my teeth, every bar of chocolate in the world is trying to jump into my stomach. I've got a bad combination of a week in France next week followed by an event I've got to look good at the day after I get back....what am I going to do? (note of desperation, symphony of desperation etc etc)I'll be entirely composed of pain au chocolat and wine, I know I will.

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 09:19

Another 1/2 pound down this morning. I've lost 8lbs since the beginning of May.An now 9st 3lbs.
Ideal weight is 8st 4lbs
Am aiming to be a maximum weigh of 8st 7lbs by the 1st week in August - that is 6 weeks away. I therefore need to loose an average of just under 2lbs a week. Maybe I should streatch myself and go for my target weight of 8st 4lbs in six weeks meaning an average loss of just over 2lbs a week!!

  • think I can do it??? So to recap: Total loss to date 8lbs. 13lbs to go in the next 6 weeks!! - here I go branflakes and bananna for breakfast!
codswallop · 17/06/2004 09:22

sonnet well done!

codswallop · 17/06/2004 09:23

It does work the bran flakes doesnt it

wonder if it does your bowels good too hence weight loss!

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 09:25

Well done Janz - didn't make the run last night as the DD's went to a friends for tea and all was a rush when got home....
Need to get focused...

You need some bullying welshmum - Are you on holiday in France?. We go to france every year and despite the pate, cheese and wine (!!) find we eat quite healthily - BBQ's with meat and salad and lots of fruit. AVOID the Pan au chocolate - leathal!!!!

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 09:29

bran flakes and a banana for breakfast are great - they fill me up so so much. I think I'm getting into the stride of it all as yesterday for the 1st time I wasn't hungry once and only eat:
bran flakes and banana
apple
4 x ryvita and philly
some raspberries
chicken and salad

here's to today!

Chuffed · 17/06/2004 09:34

Geez Sonnet how can you eat so little and not get hungry. I get so light headed and feel physically sick unless I get enough.
I am quite proud of my day yesterday and probably ate almost twice what you ate...maybe my weight loss will never happen.
So far today I have had 2 poached eggs on toast and have a supply of fresh fruit to snack on. Intend to do at least an hours brisk walk today. Managed another 2 miles yesterday afternoon.

codswallop · 17/06/2004 09:45

you just need to keep busy and out of the kitchen

yesterday I had ( bearing in mine am only trying to shift 2 pesky lbs)

  • bran flakes combo *choc chip cookie *ham and green salad
  • cold roast chicken, potato salad and rice salad ( left overs) *glass of wine
Sonnet · 17/06/2004 10:37

Chuffed - that was the first time I'd had so little and not felt hungry....
I am drinking lots of water though. I've got to say how much better my skin is looking - fresh and glowy and my nose to mouth lines have almost disappeared!!. I drink 2ltes plus a day and am not visiting the loo quite as often in the past week or two!
Execise is the best way to shift a few pounds. Unfortunatly I have been too busy at work to swim in my luchhour this past week and hayfever has put paid to my running over the last 3 weeks. Hayfever now diminishing so should be out and about agin this week!

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 10:38

those 2 pesky lbs should drop off coddy! - how long will/should it take you??

Piffleoffagus · 17/06/2004 10:55

I've cracked it too after just 4 days of being really firm within my ww points.
snack a jack jumbo's apple x 2 for breakfast, or slimfast or bananas on Nimble toast
Lunch, grilled chicken and salad, or ham sandwich again with nimble, plus a hob nob or rich tea bikkie.
Dinner salmon/chicken/ham salad, asparagus with garlic, falafel (baked not fried)
couple of small beers in the heat, LOTS of water and a wlak every 2nd day of around 2 hours with the pram,
I have got back from 10st to around 9st 10 since the weekend!
Does anyone find they get heavier before their period?

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 11:27

WEll done Piffleoffagus
Yes I def get heavier before a period - one of the way so expect to get on the scales soon and find I've put on weight!! - Ialso find I crave "food" at that time!

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 12:37

Am feeling hungry - picky I think!
Only have strawberries left to get me through till 4pm
Doing dull work at work whcih dosn't help

codswallop · 17/06/2004 12:38

have eaten a packet of walkers lites
they weretn even t hat nice.

codswallop · 17/06/2004 12:39

not fast at this rate sonnet - am off to brum to see a pal tomorrow and obv neeed to have a proper curry!

Sonnet · 17/06/2004 13:41

mmm curry.....
am munching on starwberries - could murder a bag of cheese and onion crisps BUT will not give in! - If I could be 8st 4lbs when I go on holiday it will be fantastic!

JanZ · 18/06/2004 08:49

Still 10 stone 10lb. Hopefully over the weekend I'll drop that extra pound, so that I can say that I have lost half a stone!

If I could keep going at that rate, ie half a stone per month, then I'd be happy!

Crispy fried duck tonight for supper though - will need to be sure to hold back on the duck and load up on the cucumber and shredded leeks!

I've brought in a nice healthy packed lunch plus snacks: rocket salad with cherry tomatoes, boiled egg, some radishes, some grapes, a banana and two nectarines.

Fizog · 18/06/2004 08:57

Well, I joined you all on Monday and weighed myself for the first time this morning. I've lost 2lbs, I think that's ok - isn't it? I'm particularly hungry this morning though!

wobblyknicks · 18/06/2004 09:00

I've stayed off here because I was sure I wouldn't be able to carry on losing weight and I'd just blow it but I've gone from 11st7 to 10st4 and I'm still managing to lose it.

Anyone know the ideal weight for a 5'8 medium-build woman? Am aiming to get to 9st8, but think that might still be on the heavy side.

Piffleoffagus · 18/06/2004 09:04

wobbly 9st 8 is fine!!!!
I am 9st 7 today - been a really strict week and AF arrived too which seems to add 1/4 stone!!
! I am 5ft 6, I am a reasonably slim build aside from boobs...
Even at 10st 7 I was still in healthy weight range
