Pedometer Club! Anyone interested?

I have just invested in a pedometer (all of a fiver off e bay). Anyway after discussions in the late bar the other night with Nutcracker, Madamebutterfly and others i thought it may be good to record how many steps we do each week.

So anyone with a pedometer could join in, do you think this is a good idea? We could maybe start in a few weeks when people have had a chance to eat through thier special K and order a pedometer IYSWIM

MadameButterfly · 20/06/2004 20:30

I have started a spreadsheet to keep tack of mine.

Charlie, do you want figures for each day or just a weekly total.

CP3 · 20/06/2004 20:35

Just a week i thought Madame. Ive done a spread sheet for mine too. Done really bad today only 3,500.

CP3 · 20/06/2004 20:35

So far this week I have managed around 15,000.

The weekends are always difficult for me are we tend not to go out. I think I will be using my stepper a lot at the weekends in future. I did 1000 last night while watching a bit of BB.

CP3 · 21/06/2004 12:47

I was looking at them at e bay last night madame butterfly and my dp sneered over my shoulder 'what you getting one of those for'which annoyed me. At least i make an effort.Think i may get your argos one as i find the weekends difficult to, plus on comp 6 hours a day with work doesnt help.

Well done, CP3! Must try harder/walk further...

MadameButterfly · 22/06/2004 16:09

Well, I would have done by 10,00 no problem today if we had gone to tumble tots as it is about 2.5 - 3 miles each way. DP, however forgot his briefcase this morning, so DD and I needed to get a taxi to birmingham to get it to him in time as all his notes were in it.

babysteffee · 22/06/2004 18:21

Well, I bought mine halfway through the day after walking 2 miles into town and all around for a couple of hours. Wore it walking home from town and clocked up 6832 so figured either this 10,000 is gonna be really easy, or mine must be all wrong.

THEN, the stupid thing reset itself, so only says 92 steps now!!

CP3 · 23/06/2004 08:54

Busy days are really easy, but dont get taken in its not easy unless you walk loads every day which i did untill this week where i am failing miserably as the weather is bad. Ive even taken to walking round the lounge in circles to get my steps up.

Tommy · 23/06/2004 21:19

DH borrowed mine yesterday as I knew I wasn't walking anywhere - he managed 10,000 no problem - walks 2 miles to work. I will start on Saturday properly which will be rubbish, as will Sunday but I guess the point is to build up isn't it?

babysteffee · 25/06/2004 20:40

Ok I agree... managed 10,000 easily on the first day, then 6500, then 4500 and so on. Mine keeps resetting itself throughout the day too which is a pain, think I need another one.
