Hope you have a nice time today Jonty.

Souping sounds like a great plan. I find it hard to stick to just soup and not dream of toast and butter to go with so a big pot doesn't seem to do many meals in my household. But all good healthy low-cal stuff though.

Fingers crossed the scales see the big drop that is so deserving Emz.

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 15:35

Very hungover and currently waiting for the bus. Headachey and I feel very sorry for myself! Had a great night though Grin

Hi emz-how did it go with the soda instead of alcohol?
We went for pizza yest and I had it with no cheese. Was yum yum! As the base and tomatoes here make up for it!
Not really sticking to any sort of calories though have been inputting and coming in at 1500 and trying to excercise too so let's hope the scales don't make me cry when I get home!

psychotropic · 11/10/2015 16:01

No idea how to log all the food I've had this weekend Shock but I've 'earned' almost 1200 in calories from my race. One good thing about being heavier is I'm closer to 100 calories per mile! I think dieting is not all that compatible with running, you just do need to eat really well in order to run at your best. Confused

MrsDLH · 11/10/2015 16:08

Hope your hangover passes soon, Emz! I rarely drink to excess these days, hangovers seem to last several days now Confused I usually have one or two most weekends though but haven't this weekend. I managed to come in at around 1700 cals yesterday which is great for a Saturday. Im determined to see 11st 2 or less this week.

Sounds like everyone is having a lovely weekend! I worked yesterday but to be fair, it's a bit of a doss so dh had the busier end of the deal. He ropes his mom in though to help entertain the kids. Today has been gym/relaxing/helping dd with her homework so fairly pleasant. Under calories today if I stick to plan Grin

Hope you're enjoying your hols, holiday peeps! can't remember who but know it's at least a couple of you

psychotropic · 11/10/2015 16:08

I would so love to be eating pizza in Naples right now!

MrsDLH · 11/10/2015 16:09

Well done on completing your race, psycho!

psychotropic · 11/10/2015 16:15

Thank you! I did it in 1:48, which is lots better than I expected (no mojo, no training to speak of) but I did take the triple carb wonder drink with me which is some kind of rocket fuel. I'll definitely be under calories today if you include those burned in the run, even I have my limits!

psychotropic · 11/10/2015 16:16

the triple carb magic potion!

JontyDoggle37 · 11/10/2015 16:42

Well done psycho!
I am feeling smug with a capital 'S', because I went for lunch, chose soup and roast beef, only ate half the soup because it was too rich and filling, and only had one giant roast potato instead of the two given to me. And NO dessert! Two medium glasses of wine and lots of water I think the whole thing will have come in at under 1,000 calories, which is far better than I expected! And I was sensible in how I ate. It's a revolution!!Grin

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 19:27

Well done Psycho! That's amazing.

Admire your restraint Jonty, I love roast potatoes, not sure I could have turned them down.

Trying, it didn't happen! Hence why my head was quite sore this morning. The bonus is that I haven't really eaten anything today other then the big bowl of pasta I just had for dinner!

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 11/10/2015 19:41

I just had a disaster dinner!

Ordered pasta as a primi plata and grilled fish as secondi. Thinking the pasta would be a tiny portion as a treat
Wel it came out
Was a bloody kilo of pasta?!!! Quickly ran to waiter and cancelled fish and ate the pasta reluctantly / was bloody tasty!
I'm prob in at over 2000 today!!!

So tmrw I'm planning on

Poached eggs and a piece of smoke salmon for brekkie
Banana and apple for lunch
Salad for dinner-prob tuna.

Will report back tmrw! No scales here..

Well done on the run!
Hope ur head better tmrw emz

irishe · 11/10/2015 19:57

Well done psycho very impressive!
Very restrained jonty on your sunday lunch choices.
Glad you had a good night out emz. Don't envy you the hangover though!

Well I have come in under calories today. Despite being under calories most days I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks. No weight loss since I lost the 5lbs in a week (but no gain). Clearly my body went into shock!

On the plus side I am no longer starving so I am putting that down to TOM last week. The 1280 daily feels doable again. Thank god!

Today I was at the second day of the family music event. Took part in a drumming workshop which was great fun. Watched a family friendly concert with a woodwind ensemble. Apparently today is national bassoon day. Who knew?! Apparently kids are not taking up the bassoon, so there is a shortage of bassoon players nationally. Encourage your children to play the bassoon, cool instrument!

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 20:05

Haha Trying! Oh dear, good intentions though! I bet the pasta was bloody great though

OP posts:
MajesticWhine · 11/10/2015 20:09

Unlike jonty I made some poor choices for sunday lunch and now feeling pissed off with myself.
Well done on the race psycho - very impressive time. You are an inspiration.

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 20:16

Aw Irishe, I feel for you and know your pain! I hope your scales move again soon.

Hangover is fading and I'm feeling better, shattered though, I'll sleep well tonight!

New week tomorrow and I WILL have a loss this week! I'm determined. It should be a good few weeks diet wise, haven't got any other social occasions planned and work wise I'll be mainly based in the office so will be easy to plan my meals. I'll be at a conference near Birmingham on Tuesday and lunch is included but I can work with that Smile

I do feel kind of chuffed that I could pull that out of the bag after such a lazy summer! I was thinking of getting a PT, cutting down to shorter distances and finding a new challenge (weight lifting?) because I'm never going to be motivated enough to be super fast (by club standards). But I forgot how much I love racing!

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 20:58

I'm a bit worried... i havent heard from my boyfriend since Friday and he does phone everyday and has done since he left, i've sent him messages but he hasn't even been online and i've tried ringing his pay as you go phone but it just rings and goes to voicemail. I'm not sure what to do! He wouldn't do this because he knows how much i'd worry about it, wah! It's horrible that he's so far away Sad

OP posts:
psychotropic · 11/10/2015 21:31

That must be concerning when it's out of character Confused hopefully nothing is wrong, could it be lack of Internet or phone signal? Is there anyone else you can get hold of?

MajesticWhine · 11/10/2015 21:31

Sorry to hear that Emz - try not to worry. Where is he?

Emz449 · 11/10/2015 22:29

He's in the Galapagos Majestic on his year abroad from uni. It may sound a bit extreme but i have just Facebook messaged the company he's interning for to ask them if he's ok and if he could get in touch. i feel a bit sick to be honest, if anythings happened to him i don't know what i'd do

JontyDoggle37 · 12/10/2015 06:35

Morning all, no loss today which isn't surprising considering yesterday's menu but disappointing nonetheless as I didn't quite hit my 2.5lb goal for the week, losing 1.75lbs instead of 2.5. However, I have lost 1.5 inches off my body this week, which brings me to a grand total loss since May of 15.75 inches! So, this week will be a lot better diet wise as DH is away for the weekend so I won't get derailed. So goal for this week is 3lb loss, to make up what I didn't lose last week. Hard target, but I am going to be at goal before Christmas come hell or high water!!!!

psychotropic · 12/10/2015 08:14

Emz Flowers hope you hear something soon.

Jonty 1.75lbs and 1.5 inches sounds like an amazing loss in a week!

I'm 148 lbs today, a pound above my start weight.

Emz449 · 12/10/2015 08:23

He's fine! His phone has broken and he couldn't get connected to the wifi on his laptop. I've told him never to do it again ha.

Weight loss wise I'm back down to 11 stone on the dot which surprised me with the eating and drinking this weekend. Very happy! Definitely going back into the 10s this week

Fantastic news all round!

I'm going to track my calories more accurately more often this week. It says I averaged 1800ish gross over the past 7 days so another week of that or less should result in a lost pound!
