psycho I see a difference after 2-3 days, I weigh daily so I really notice.
Have done really well, even after being up in London for the day for my new business, but husband has now suggested having in laws stay for dinner (which is a lovely idea, they've babysat all day) but probably having takeaway argh! I've just pointed out I could rustle up something in the same time hopefully he'll go with that!

Tryingno1 · 06/10/2015 17:05

Jonty I notice in 3 days..hence no shift yet as had a bad day on Sunday. I'm not sure wot. I need to maintain ! I usually diet or gain?! Not good Confused

Majestic I'm sorry your having a hard time at the moment. Hope ur ok and don't beat ursrlf up if you need some comforting.

I'm on 700 and. Starving!!! Not sure how to get through it till dinner! I can't wait till after holiday where I go back to 1200 it's much easier although still hard!

psychotropic · 06/10/2015 17:25

I've got 1400 left for tonight! I haven't done any exercise but lunch was only 150 cals, (whole tin of anchovies with 150g of microwaved seasoned frozen mixed veg from lidl) maybe I could do 5:2 after all??? Not even any hungrier than usual. Confused

Tryingno1 · 06/10/2015 18:54

Wow impressive! Enjoy ur dinner!
I've just had dinner and got to 1015! Couldn't hack 900 today but I was so tempted to reach for the biccies as was starving when got in but I didn't! So glad about that.

Emz449 · 06/10/2015 19:21

MrsDLH, i will definitely be upping my calories during the hike, will make sure i have a healthy amount of snacks in the back pack Grin Well done on your loss too! I won't be tracking while i'm away in all honesty, the food in south america is generally healthy, lots of fruit, grains and protein.

The day has been good diet wise, i seem to be having a real craving for chocolate at the moment though, totm is due! I'm on the pill and i'm actually delaying it by a week for this month so that it doesn't coincide with my holiday (fingers crossed) hopefully the bloating and general crappy feeling doesn't last that long

JontyDoggle37 · 07/10/2015 06:03

Morning all, one pound down so now at 11st 2.5! Goal for this week was to get to 11st 2.25 so virtually there....now not to mess it up over the rest of the week lol!

JontyDoggle37 · 07/10/2015 06:04

Oh and TOM due end of this week/start of next which means I will have one day where I just have to eat loads or I feel faint, so I need to take that into account...

Emz449 · 07/10/2015 09:01

Well done Jonty you must be chuffed!

I am praying to the weight loss gods that I will lose this Saturday!

OP posts:
Purpleknickers · 07/10/2015 10:38

Well done Jonty dead chuffed for you, my last weigh in before my holiday will be tomorrow I am hoping for a 1lb loss but could be being too hopeful... fingers crossed

I love the sound of your hiking holiday Emz

MrsDLH · 07/10/2015 10:58

Well done jonty you'll smash that target. And good luck Purple and Emz too for a loss at the end of the week.

I was down to 11st 4 this morning so a lb down from last Friday and only a lb off my mid May weight. I can't wait to put 11st 2 on mfp! First time I can record a proper loss in months! Tonight is Davina intense DVD night and tomorrow is cross trainer and body pump night so hopefully that will keep the weight moving downwards.

All the best for today's eating Star

Tryingno1 · 07/10/2015 13:23

Mrs and jonty well done yay! Wooshs all around! I'm also down one pound so making it 11 yay! Now I have to maintain it while away Hmm. Possibly could loose half before I leave but not sure!
Fingers crossed for u emz!

irishe · 07/10/2015 13:40

Well done jonty that's a great result.

mrsdlh not long till you hit 11 2 now!
emz got my fingers crossed for a weight loss for you this week.
Good luck with that last weigh in purple. Would be good to get a loss just before the holiday.

I am not weighing daily at the moment due to TOM. Find it too frustrating. I am very hungry and feel like I on the verge of a binge. Trying to hold it together. Came in 200 cals over yesterday mostly due to the buttery toast that accompanied my soup, lol!

Think slim, eat slim, think slim, eat slim!

irishe · 07/10/2015 13:43

Good result trying, good to be down a bit before the holiday.

Not2bObvious · 07/10/2015 14:06

Great losses jonty, mrsd and trying - delighted for you allGrin

psychotropic · 07/10/2015 15:44

Well done everyone! It's very motivating to read about your successes Grin

WoahBodyforrrrm · 07/10/2015 18:50

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I Gained 2st from July to September as I was on steriods for a brain tumour, plus not very active between coming out of intensive care and having my surgery to remove the tumour (and for a few weeks after)

I've started using MFP and have been given 1350cals a day. I have dropped 7lbs in the last few weeks (prior to using MFP) but cutting out sugar and getting back to my usual day to day life. I'm also not allowed to drive for a year so that will be good for keeping me active. I'm off to hot zen yoga tonight, apparantly it burns 680cals Shock

My current weight is 11.8st, does anyone know realistically how much I could hope to lose following MFP by NYE?

irishe · 07/10/2015 20:13

Welcome woah
Sorry to hear you have been through the mill with your health recently.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery. I find this thread very friendly and supportive.

As to how much weight you could lose by the end of the year? Well that's the question we all have, lol!

So much depends on how well you stick to your daily calories, how much exercise you do, starting weight. How much you like to eat out!

I would say a stone is achievable. I am always a bit cautious though. Could be more!

Good luck

Emz449 · 07/10/2015 20:18

I've asked for my scales back a day earlier Grin i can't help myself! So will be weighing myself Friday morning as well ha

I have actually done kettlercise this evening and oh. my. god. It was so tough. My arms were screaming at me to stop but i carried on! I'm physically shaking at the moment so I'm going to collapse on my bed and watch bake off Smile

Lunch out at work tomorrow, carver place which is manageable. I'm going to have the salad i had prepared for lunch for dinner instead so still low carb in the evening Smile

Emz449 · 07/10/2015 20:29

Sorry crosspost, welcome Woah, sounds like you've had a tough year so far Flowers

I'd say between now and new years eve perhaps a stone? I'm actually aiming for a stone to come off by the end of november and i'm trying my hardest to do it but scales aren't being my friend right now! Good luck Smile

OP posts:
psychotropic · 07/10/2015 20:34

Hi woah! That sounds very tough, hope the rest of your recovery goes well Flowers I'm hoping to be at or under 10st by the start of 2016 - a loss of anything from 5 to 8lbs depending on my stupid scales. When I put slightly different amounts into losertown though it seems like a stone could be possible Shock

In theory this week I'm tapering and carb loading for my first race of the season so less exercise and more food will probably = heavier me in the short term Confused

psychotropic · 07/10/2015 20:37

psychotropic · 07/10/2015 20:39

(watching GBBO is so not helping me right now!)

Tryingno1 · 07/10/2015 21:16

Welcome woahbody Sorry to hear you haven't been well but glad your on your way to recovery.
I would say 1-2 pounds a week is very realistic, depends how strict you are! I wish I could loose 2 every week and I would at goal in no time! But instead I tend to loose none, then 3, then gain 1 then loose 2! Generally my trend is down but it's slow and averages out to 1 a week (lost 10 in the last 9 weeks).
Em good luck for Friday!! Hope there's a loss there!
I ended up on 1200 as I went out for dinner but I had clear soup and chicken and was good all day so am happy even though I was meant to be on 900 pre holiday!

irishe · 07/10/2015 21:34

Ok I am on 1254, 26 under for the day, which considering I have had the munchies all day, is not too bad. There is a home made chocolate crispie in the fridge, that might have my name on it though!

Bathsheba3 · 07/10/2015 22:23

I braved the scales today, finally, after being absent for a month. Was pleasantly surprised. Came in at 11 st 10. Really thought I'd be back in the 12's. Phew. I've a long way to catch you up now Emz & Jonty but you are all spurring me on. Will start logging back on tomorrow. There are some wonderful positive people on here Star
