Hello all :)

I have seen many topics similar to this one but there was so many already I felt a little swamped so I wanted to start my own in hope it would motivate me to well, eat less bad things and exercise more!

I am 5ft and weigh 12st.

I want to be around 9 1/2 to 10st.

I would at least like to lose a stone in 3 months as I'm getting married.

Anyone with specific recommendations of certain foods to eat/not eat, certain exercises to do etc please do feel free to share.

Tomorrow I am starting to eat more healthier. Plenty of chicken and eggs for me. I think one of my biggest problems is I love carbs. I also weigh a lot so exercise tires me out quicker than if I weighed less as I sweat more.

I hope someone else will share the journey with me so I don't feel so huge and yucky!

Thanks for reading this anyways :)

Hi Everyone, i'll join!

I'm 5ft 1 and 11st12lb. I'm aiming for 8st, but would be happy with 9st. Fed up of people offering me their seats because they think I'm pregnant Shock

I'm an apple shape so have a ridiculously big belly. Does anyone eat ww meals? Thought I'd try them for my main meal.

Mrsboathook · 18/05/2015 09:15

Hello all, happy weigh in day Wink

Scales said 78kg this morning (prebreakfast, post wee, totally starkers!)

Am steadily loosing about a kilo a week with mfp, however have reduced calories by 100 this week. And trying to up the walking too. Also off on mini holiday for 3 nights this week so my aim is just not to undo what I've done. Am going to keep logging despite meals out!

Good luck to everyone else.

Purpletoes · 18/05/2015 09:33

Hi

Well I didn't lose anything but not gained anything yet either. Hmm

I know where I went wrong had a picnic and people over all weekend and ended up picking at food all weekend. Also didn't get to go for some extra runs. But has definitely given me the impetus to do better and reduce calorie intake on mfp I think I may be over compensating for the breastfeeding. Onwards and upwards! Hopefully better news next week

Well done to everyone who has lost.

Writemove · 18/05/2015 18:53

Happy weigh in day.

11st 10 today. Down from 12st 3 four weeks ago. Happy with that, but would like to lose more.

Two days of maxing out Cals on mfp. Back to being good and I'm hungry.

Mamama31 · 19/05/2015 00:08

Hi ladies, been super busy!

I have stayed the same weight 11.7 :( I started off really well but had nice food and alcohol over the wkend...I need to be more disciplined at wkends! Oh well must stay motivated! Determined to lose some before next Mon!

Keep at it ladies and well done!

ArcheryAnnie · 19/05/2015 09:48

Hello, all. Got over my standstill and hunger, and am down about another 1/4 stone. I am having two boiled eggs for breakfast, which really seems to help with not being ravenous the rest of the day.

GreatJoanUmber · 19/05/2015 13:53

Hello all

Does everyone do their weigh-ins on Mondays? I do too, just curious as it seems lots here do!
Lost 2.5 lbs this week, so I'm super close to having lost 3 stone! Smile It does feel good seeing it like that.
Went to Costco yesterday and while I managed to steer clear of their bakery section, I did buy a huge tub of nuts. Now I know nuts aren't a 'bad' food, but they pack a lot of calories and I wish I could find a way to stop nibbling them! Anyway, better than choc & biscuits, right? Right?!

weebarra · 19/05/2015 21:31

Lost 1.5 kilos this week, was mostly very good but was away this weekend so did have wine. I have started off this week well, so need to keep it up!

inthesticks14 · 20/05/2015 18:12

Well done everyone! I've lost 4lb since Saturday...water weight I would imagine. Happy with that. Onwards and downwards!!

Moresmores · 21/05/2015 11:34

Can I join? Started at 5ft and 11st 13lb two weeks ago.

I am doing WW and daily walking (trying to do 15,000 steps a day). Yesterday I weighed in at 11st 7lbs so 6lbs off so far. My goal is 9st tho I realise that will still make me overweight for my height Sad

Purpletoes · 25/05/2015 20:14

So pleased with myself. I managed to keep in range on mfp and go for runs and treated myself a treat of a Fitbit which is very motivating.

So this weeks weighin is 75.6 soon 2 weeks I have lost 2kgs.

SmileSmile

Hopefully it will continue this week. Good luck everyone else.

Mrsboathook · 26/05/2015 07:20

Weigh in day yesterday. Stayed the same at 78kg, but we did have3 days break which involved a lot of cooked breakfast and more wine than I've been used to lately!

Strictly back to 1700 calories this week. Good luck all.

Howlongtillbedtime · 26/05/2015 07:38

Can I join ? I have more to lose (more like 4 Blush ) but I have made a good start and lost 11 pounds in a month using a fitbit and logging all my food .

I now have just over 3 stone to lose and I am feeling pretty determined .

I will have a read of the thread now and see how you are all doing it .

Moresmores · 27/05/2015 20:36

Lost 3lbs this wk so 9lb in total. Writing down everything I eat is helping. Really trying to eat three good meals a day. Over the last few years I have just been grazing/snacking rather than eating properly.

Mollli · 27/05/2015 22:04

Can I join too please. Im trying to be accountable for what I am eating. I haven't gained weight for 10 years but would now like to lose a stone. Its early days but I have purchased a lovely spotty notebook today to log what I am eating. That should help me.

Howlongtillbedtime 11lbs in a month is brilliant. Are you just counting calories?

Howlongtillbedtime · 28/05/2015 06:50

Hi Mollli
I am cal counting and using a fitbit , upping my exercise has made the biggest difference I think . Also because I do have a lot to lose then the losses at the beginning are bigger .

Logging all my food and counting calories is (fingers crossed) working really well for me .It has really made me think about food .

Good luck ! And a new notebook is always a good thing .

BritabroadinAsia · 28/05/2015 09:27

Hello - can I join too? Have just looked at BMI calculator and should lose 2 and a half stone to be in the middle of my healthy weight. Currently 11 stone 13lbs at 5'5". I have gained around 10lbs (and gone up a dress size) over the past year as have had an ongoing back problem which has curtailed my exercise and I'm perimenopausal and foul to everyone to boot. Not great, but I do love a bit of accountability/peer pressure, so hope it's ok to join in with the Monday weigh-ins?

Am using MFP but have been given 1450 a day. I'm wondering whether to reduce this a bit? Certainly doesn't seem to be making much difference yet.

I was really inspired by a recent thread - I have exercised every day for the last 30 days; let me tell you the benefits - which was both quite moving and fantastically inspirational. So have decided to do the same, modified appropriately for the dodgy back, and am day 3 into my 30 days. Have said it out loud now, so I need to do it!

ArcheryAnnie · 28/05/2015 19:04

I'd been doing SO WELL, then had a few days of festivities and put 1/4 stone back on. Argh!

Here's back on the waggon.

I think what it emphasised to me that this is the long term - if I go back to the way I was eating before, I will just pile it all back on again.

Mollli · 28/05/2015 21:47

HowLong Yes, got to feel excited by a new pretty notebook for the purpose of recording food and exercise. I just prefer it to using an online thingy. Im doing the same. Counting calories and going to the gym. Going well so far Smile

Writemove · 31/05/2015 19:05

Well done everyone for your losses.
I stayed away last week because I maintained - stuck at 11st 9 for two weeks. Down from 12st 4.

I should've come here for support. Instead I ordered takeaway curry. But still running and generally on fewer than 1500 cals a day.

Any way, now down to 11st 6 - which is 11lbs down in six weeks. So happy. Feel healthier.

I'm counting that as tomorrow's weigh in! Good luck everyone.

Writemove · 31/05/2015 19:11

Meant 12st 3 start weight, sorry

Mrsboathook · 01/06/2015 08:57

Happy Monday all!

Weigh in day here. 76.5kg from 83.1kg in 6 weeks, very pleased. Am continuing on mfp and breastfeeding , still 8.5kg to go!

Am finding mfp so much easier than previous diets (sw and ww). Feels a lot easier to keep going and I can see myself actually maintaining on it!

Good luck to all. If the weather is as nice as the forecast says, may look into interesting salads!

Purpletoes · 01/06/2015 09:23

Happy weigh in day.

So I am now 75.2kg so lost again this week but only small. But good as this week we had visitors everyday except Thursday and Friday so ate out quite a lot.

Following mfp and running with breastfeeding so I am quite pleased. I am finding mfp good as well as even if naughty I am more aware of it as I am noting it all down.
Down 2.5kg in 3 weeks only 15kg to go! Wink

Hopefully this week will be as good if not better although we are away next weekend as well so if I am really good during the week the weekend shouldn't impact too much!

BritabroadinAsia · 01/06/2015 15:48

Oh dear... gained a lb.... Sad

Have exercised every day and been following MFP pretty much religiously apart from Saturday (meal out and drinks), so I was expecting to have lost.

That said, I am really bloated with my period, so am really hoping I will see something next week.

Well done everyone on your losses!

Writemove · 02/06/2015 22:04

Mrs boathook, I agree. Mfp is so much easier than slimming world.
