Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Everyone is doing really well again this week!

Anna, week 1 is worth it when you weigh in! Keep going.

Bexx 3.5st in 13 weeks is amazing!!! Hope I do as good as you.

I've had my weight in today and after 4 weeks, I've lost 7.6kilos and really pleased. Would love to do a stone a month so I'm ahead of track.

I've gave up on the savoury meals, I just don't like them but have tried. The diets tough enough, never mind not enjoying what we eat!

Good luck with the weigh ins this week ladies Smile

Slimslimslim47 · 14/11/2015 18:37

A good day for me - weigh in and 2kilo loss so on day 31 I am 8kilos lighter. I feel so good and it makes the lows which hit at least once last week worth it, I keep focusing on my final goal and I am nearly 1/4 way though.
I got the resistance band today and will work on my arms for the next week to start toning them up.
So my advice for the new starters is each week at a time and be prepared for the lows and have someone you can talk to and every loss no matter how small is going in the right direction.

I saw three other people at my clinic today all on the programme and I could see the results and they all looked amazing.

Have a great week everyone and I am off to make a bowl of mushroom pasta and side salad - yum

Carrielyn · 15/11/2015 11:04

Hi I've got my initial app in dec with a view to starting in jan. Wow it's so complicated! Lol can anyone tell me how much each sachet box is and how many sachets in each box? I know I eat/drink 5 a day.xx

Cupcake0310 · 15/11/2015 11:32

Hi Carrielyn, well done on organising your first app!

I don't pay for the food individually and I think the price varies from clinic to clinic.

I pay £240 per week and this covers 5 boxes of sachets, with 7 sachets in each box; 2 treatments on my skin to break down fat and return elasticity into the skin ( so I don't have saggy skin) and the relevant blood tests along with access to a dr.

Well worth the money if you are determined to lose weight. I've been going for 4 weeks and lost 16lbs.

Good luck! Smile

Slimslimslim47 · 15/11/2015 11:36

Carrielyn

At my clinic the food boxes are £18.50, the bars are £21.00. you get 7 in each box.
The boxes are separated into soups - 5 varieties, savouries - 8 varieties, desserts - 10 varieties, cold drinks - 9 varieties, hot drinks - 2, bars - 5 at stage 1, snacks - 1.
There are some items which you can only have one of them a day these are marked yellow on the order form, when i get home i put a bit star on the top of the box to remind me as i am choosing the days food. I tend to work out the night before what i am going to eat the next day and get all the sachets out and put to one side, this reduces the chances of me eating two "star" foods in one day, the bars are allowed by my clinic at stage 1 but only one every other day - i use these for emergencies when i know the ability to make a shake or soup is going to be difficult.

as you will see from the posts everyone likes different things - but the unlimited veg is really important so when you go to your initial appointment ask to see the list of both unlimited and limited veg - i took photos of both lists on my phone and when shopping i can always refer to it.

you can also have a two white egg omelette with 50g mushrooms each day for breakfast but i have never managed this.

you can have sweetener so get a tub of canderal if you are going to do the stewed rhubarb.

the supplements are really important and my nails and skin feel really good.

you have to have a sachet within 30 minutes of getting up and then between 2 and 4 hours through out the day and your last sachet at least an hour before bed.

You have to drink 2 - 3ltrs of water a day and this can be fresh water, sparkling, black tea, herbal teas or coffee. you cannot have fruit teas.

You cannot have diary or alcohol at all.

i hope that all helps - for the first few weeks i created a little booklet with everything in i needed to do and kept it with me each day and it helped me remember what i needed to do and it stopped me worrying throughout the day if i was doing it right, i also set reminders in my phone and work calendar just to give me that nudge during the day that i need to remember to have a sachet.

Good luck and welcome.

Carrielyn · 15/11/2015 14:18

Thanks all of u, especially slim slim- it was really helpful. I'm keen to start but figured over Xmas was tempting fate, as I've a few parties and a weekend away booked. This time next year I ll be slim slim too! Lol

wolfie100 · 15/11/2015 17:57

Hi all

Great to hear the stories and tips, keeps me motivated.

I have tried and tried to make meringues with egg whites and sweetner but they always flop into nothing (still eat them of course!). Does anyone have a recipe?

I moved onto stabilisation stage 2 yesterday - only 1 sachet a day- very scary!! But you can replace it with cheese- yes cheese- and ham or other cold meat. I am far too nervous to have cheese in the house so have gone for the cottage cheese option.

I am like some of you and only go for the sweet sachets. My favourites are chocolate dessert, vanilla pudding, caramel drink which I have as a mousse and the strawberry milkshake. Now I can only have 1 sachet I always have the chocolate dessert.

We can buy a box for £20 and the clinic I go to is £240 a week.

When you move onto stabilisation you stop the Ultrasound treatment and just have skin tightening.

Was very pleased to have lost a kilo on my first week of stabilisation. I was hungry though.

More later.
Xxx

Cupcake0310 · 15/11/2015 18:22

Well done Wolfie! I would love cheese but I'm way off that stage! Are you still eating 5 times a day in stage 2?

Gutted that the ultrasound stops. That's my fav part!

wolfie100 · 16/11/2015 00:35

Hi

Just catching up on the weeks posts which are great - it's lovely to see new people joining this forum. Very big supportive hug to Anna50, Spacecumber (love the name!) Carrielynn and Alphachick.

Cupcake - on all the stages you eat 5 times a day but as you go through them you swap sachets for other food. At stage 2 you reduce to 4 sachets and don't have one at teatime but instead have meat, fish or dairy. I mostly went for dairy as you get to have an egg and 200g of fat free plain yoghurt so I now have the yoghurt with rhubarb every day. You then stay on 4 sachets until you almost reach target when you go on to stage 3. At stage 3 you don't have a sachet for breakfast any more but instead have porridge, Special K or bran flakes or a piece of toast. As well as going down to 3 sachets you get increased types of fruit including plums and nectarines. It's bliss! I decided not to go there with toast as I was worried I wouldn't be able to stick to just one piece and didn't think it would fill me up. The porridge is great though.

You get the ultrasound at stage 2 and 3. It just stops when you reach target and move onto stage 4 onwards. I miss it though but am very pleased to be at target!

Alphachick007 - please tell me how you make the sugar free meringues! I am desperate to try them successfully! Such a great idea!

SarahRose88 - I started off being ahead of the doctors schedule for the couple of stone but then it really slowed down despite me doing everything exactly the same. I had the same view as you have that as long as I was getting thinner and losing weight I didn't care. Every week as long as I lost some weight even if it was only 0.2 kilos I have been relieved! The one week I had put on was awful as I was so scared that it was a slippery slope and the diet wasn't going to work any more but the next week was fine- massive relief. In fact looking back on it that probably helped keep me motivated in ensuring I was sticking to absolutely by the book. Not good at the time though! gh. You still have to take all the supplements until stage 4 when you start reducing as part of the stabilisation process. You are on stabilisation for 4 weeks and then have a post therapy consultation where you get your after photos taken! Not sure when kerosine stops??

Slimslimslim- well done on the first stone and getting the bike trainer. It is interesting as I also started cycling as part of being on the diet but probably not until I had lost 3-4 stone. I started cycling everyday after work building up how far I went each day from about 15 mins to 45 mins over a couple of month so. I have stopped now though because of the winter and need to fine a replacement. However I must tell you that my legs look amazing as a result of the cycling. The clinic told me that I don't really need treatment on them as there is not really excess skin on them! I am sure it's the cycling that did it.

space cucumber - totally agree with all the comments that you should start when you are mentally ready - there will always be Christmas or Birthdays or weddings or parties or holidays etc that you could wait until after but I think you need to just start and learn how to cope with these situations while eating and drinking healthily.

Alphachick - I also have a low metabolic rate - but not as low as yours! Mine was around 1300 when I started and I am intrigued to see if it has changed at the end when they take it again! I notice that you have 2 to 2 and a half stone to lose. As I said above when I was down to my last couple of stone to lose the weight loss really slowed down. It seemed to come off a lot faster when I had more to lose.

Bexx - can't believe you lost 3 and a half stone in 13 weeks that's amazing! Well done you!!! Glad you got straight back on track after your trip and are now fully motivated. One of my therapists told me about another person on the diet who had a holiday prebooked in America before she started the diet. Apparently she decided she would come off the diet for the couple of weeks holiday. As soon as she arrived in the USA she went into a restaurant and ordered a burger and chips. Apparently though after months on Alevere it didn't taste very nice to her anymore and her body reacted badly to the burger in that it made her I'll. I thought this was very interesting and keep remembering it when I crave chocolate etc as it actually probably won't taste as nice as I remember it being!

Bexx- I also found buying smaller size clothes kept me very motivated all the way through- the first time I bought a size 20 then 18 and so on down to a size 10 that I am now. Each size change just feels amazing. I also can't believe how much cheaper smaller clothes are and the fact you can shop in H&M, Primark and many others is also really exciting. It's great not going to the plus size section any more too!

Anna50 - I have just read your last post where you said you aren't sure if you can carry on for 13 weeks - you can! Honestly if I can anyone can! The first week is definitely the hardest as your body starts to adjust and is expecting more food and wine etc. You do get used to it after a couple of weeks though and the weight loss really does spur you on as cupcake says.

Slimslimslim- what is the resistance band? Sounds intriguing - I want one!! I also plan my food for the next day the night before and get it all ready in plastic tubs in the fridge. I also used to write everything I had down for the first 4- 6 weeks. It really helped.

I moved from Canderel to Truvia as my sweetener a couple of months ago. It's more expensive but has no calories in it and no aspartame. Seems to be working for me.

I notice how many of you are not telling people what you are doing. I totally understand this but I went the opposite way and told everyone as I had to explain why I wasn't eating or drinking with them at various things. At times the fact everyone knows what I am doing makes me a bit nervous. I suspect some people are just waiting for me to fall off the wagon and put the weight back on as soon as I come off this fad diet etc.! Well I will show them they are wrong is all I can say. There is no way I have invested £10,000 not to stay looking this fabulous! People have mostly been very supportive though and ask me all about it etc. as it's such a big part of my life anyway I am very happy to talk about it.

Would be interested to hear how everyone is planning dealing with Christmas Day and New Year's Eve?
Phew mammoth post over!!! Good luck everyone have a great week.
Xxx

Anna50 · 16/11/2015 10:53

Hi all. Great to hear all your stories. Bexx are you ok haven't heard from you for a while. Finished week one but had to delay clinic visit for a couple of days. Anyway lost 8 pounds on my scales- amazing!!! My fave meal is the lemon dessert and rhubarb. Followed by cheese omelette. The fruit drink is ok if taken as soon as it is made. Wolfie your essay was great. ! I just love everyone sharing their thoughts. Have a good week everyone. X

SarahRose88 · 16/11/2015 13:23

Wow, Wolfie, thanks for the brilliant post! Ever so informative! yeah, those damn last few pounds... really hard to get rid of them, but we'll manage! You're such an inspiration!
I also loved the idea of making meringues, and failed gloriously )) made several attempts to optimise the recipe )) they are not quite the same as the real ones (lol, you wish they were...), they do collapse, but the best i had so far was 1 egg white + 2 tsp (not sachets, actual teaspoons! Which means that we can eat half of the batch to follow the daily allowance...) of truvia. Beat the egg white till stiff peaks, add 1 tsp of truvia, beat for a couple of minutes, then add another tsp of truvia, beat again. I'm also adding vanilla from the grinder and/or cinnamon. Spoon/pipe the mixture to a silicon mat or to a tray lined with baking paper and bake for an hour at 120 degrees fan, then cool them down in a rack. They go sort of light-brown in colour... I wanted to try to reduce the amount of truvia to 1 tsp, so will let you know...
Anna50, congratulations, 8 lb is amazing!!! Well done! I love lemon dessert, i usually bake it into minimuffins.
Just a thought, in case it might be helpful - I use myfitnesspal to keep track of everything I eat to make sure i'm not exceeding my daily allowance and not overdoing on restricted sachets (although now i'm not eating them at all...)
Great to hear everyone's stories, keep posting! Have a great week! X

SpaceCucumber · 16/11/2015 15:02

Hi ladies, I'm really curious about the sugar free meringues now! Might have to give them a go.

I went to my free appointment today. Stood on this little machine to get all my body analysis things done (I'm so technical as you may have noticed Smile). Turns out I have very little muscle (I knew this already as I have been virtually bed/sofa bound for a number of years due to illness) and too much fat! LOL Tell me something I don't know why don't you. Blush

Current weight is 87.5 (with clothes on, was 86.7 this morning naked on my scales)... Target weight is 61.8kg by their scales but I'd like to be 60kg personally. He has told me to start working on gaining muscle in my arms, legs and core straight away via some weight training.

I was surprised to find out my BMR is only 1371 kcal. No wonder diets haven't worked for me as everyone seems to always think I should be eating at least 1500-1600 as a minimum, I guess because of my height and weight. He also said, regarding the treatments that because I'm young and not got too much to lose that I could probably save some money by alternating treatments each week. So one week the connective tissue treatment and the next week the ultrasound treatment which would save me £50 a week off the cost. I'm not sure what to do in that respect though...

I'm hoping to get in and started in the next week or so now. I'm going to go for it before Christmas. He said I could have a little bit of turkey with lots of vegetables for Christmas day and it shouldn't make any difference to my weight loss that week so that's my Hubby happy. He was stressing over the thought that I wouldn't be "joining in" for Christmas dinner. Now he's totally on board and I'm just waiting to speak to him properly tonight to figure out whether I can book my appointment with the Dr and for the bloods for next week or the week after and start that same week.

SpaceCucumber · 16/11/2015 15:08

Oh and he predicted I would be looking at weight loss of 2-4lbs a week and that it'd take about 14 weeks give or take a couple of weeks... Weird to think that by March/April I could be at my target weight!

SarahRose88 · 16/11/2015 15:17

SpaceCucumber, great stuff! That's intetesting what he told you about the treatments though... I didn't have a lot (relatively) to lose, but i was told to stick to both treatments at a time, as they apparently are more effective together (is that true? Wolfie, Bexx, you know better!). So possibly you might have them together but every other week?.. That's how i'm having mine. Just a thought )

SpaceCucumber · 16/11/2015 16:08

I'm presuming it's because I'm not that big size-wise? I'm a LOT heavier than I look. I don't know though. I said to hubby I'd like to have both treatments each week, but he said it'd be more affordable for him if I had only one treatment at a time or went a week off treatments and then a week on treatments like that. I think I'll speak to the clinic more about it when I go to see the Dr and have my bloods done.

SarahRose88 · 16/11/2015 17:09

SpaceCucumber, may be! The Dr at my clinic said I could have the treatment every 4 to 12 days, so i've got mine every roughly 12 days, which is basically every other week ) def worth speaking to the clinic though!

Slimslimslim47 · 16/11/2015 20:42

SC - that's great news, the first week or so I felt quiet tired so I would go easy on any exercise till you have got use to the diet and food intake. Others may advise what worked for them but I have been recommended to do cardio exercise which gets you a bit breathless but not high impact, cardio will burn fat better.
W100 - you post is amazing and so inspiring to let us know the stages and tips for getting through it. The resistance band was given to me by my clinic, it is a long rubber tube with two handles and I use it to tone up my arms. 15 repetitions of three different exercises each day - just enough to tone not build muscles like Jodie Marsh lol ??. Ask at you clinic maybe they should give them out...
I will get some trivia this week - it was strange using canderal as I have avoided sweetener for so long it felt weird to start using it so thanks for the tip.

All - has anyone else's clinic run out of pasta? I liked the tomato one and could make up a big bowl, but my clinic have not had any delivered for a couple of weeks now.

SC - while I remember your clinic might do a swap box so if you buy a box of food you don't like you can always take back the next week and swap for other things. My clinic you buy the boxes each week and although it was a big outlay I bought 10 in the fist week to really give me lots of choice and not end up eating stuff I really couldn't cope with and then end up cheating and feeling upset.

And while I am not encouraging anyone into debt I got a 0% credit card which allows me to use it for purchases for 12 months and half of the months payments go on the card and the other half I pay now, I then put the rest in savings as much as I can and that way if an emergency happens while on the diet I can afford to cover it, if not at the end I will be able to pay the balance off. my clinic you pay each week and only for what you buy not a fixed fee which others have.

I did a wardrobe clear out on Sunday night and 15 things were too big and have gone on the success pile and I bought a couple of size 16 of eBay ready for one months time as I now have size 18/20 left in the wardrobe.... This felt amazing and so very happy.

Have a good week everyone. X

SpaceCucumber · 17/11/2015 10:33

Thank you girls for all your comments.

Well, I am biting the bullet and made an appointment to have my consultation and bloods on Monday. They said the bloods are normally back within a couple of days and then they'll book me in for my first treatment and to pick up my foods the following week.

Today I am upping my water intake (which has been non-existent cos I hate water) and starting to do some leg and arm exercises to try and build up my muscles as they recommended before I start. Sadly I can't do any core exercises as such as I'm still recovering from my hysterectomy but I'll be able to add those in, in the next couple of weeks. They said I didn't really need to worry too much about cardio stuff, my muscle weakness is the main concern at the moment, so I'll focus on that mainly for now.

I'm so excited. I can't wait to be losing this horrible fat and weight. :)

Slim - that sounds fantastic! I can't imagine what it'll feel like to get rid of my old clothes and fit into a smaller size! Well done.

BexxG · 17/11/2015 20:12

Hi everyone, gosh loads of people on! Great to see you are all doing so well!

Anna - Yes I'm fine hun :-) just a really busy week. Well done on your 8lbs! That is fantastic! You can do this hun, I never thought I would stick in this far, especially on the bad days, but at least you will have finished in 13 weeks! LOL! I still have the same again to go. Hey, that means that we should both finish at the same time ish!

Cupcake - Yeah I pretty much do the diet with the hot chocolates, with my allowance of strawberries everyday and the occasional salad. I used to like the soup, omlette and chicken thing when I first started but gradually went off them. The cold drinks are "ok" if I cant warm anything up. And after trying a couple of the bars have found that the coconut crunch is bearable in case of emergencies! I also pay £240 a week (yikes) but the proof is in the pudding (sorry for reminding you all about pudding lol)

SSS47 - my son got one of those resistance bands from his physio after he broke his wrist, I might try it as I am worried that the treatment wont work on my arms and I'll be left with saggy arms :-( I'm at Carlisle clinic and our boxes cost £20 a box too.

Wolfie - you are my inspiration! And oh my gosh, I cant wait to eat breakfast again! Yes, I confess all, I also cheated with a burger and chips. I managed to eat nearly half the burger, which was nice for the first bite, and about five chips. I was very disappointed. It didnt taste anywhere near like I remember it. Disallusioned with my burger and chips, I even tried to eat some maltesers (so determined to treat myself was I!) ..... absolutely disgusting. I can honestly say I will never eat maltesers again .... gutted lol but its good really isnt it :-D

I have some good incentives in place, my mum is treating me to some new outfits when I get down to goal, and my daughter in law to be is going to come mother of the groom outfit shopping with me :-) cant wait.

Carrielyn - Welcome!

Spacecucumber - I used to tell people I was twice as big as I should be which they used to scoff at, but I was actually proved right when I was measure as I came in at 49% fat!!! Glad that your hubby is on board now, it is so so important to have that support.

I know some people at our clinic only do alternate weeks for each treatment. I think if you arent as big or dont have too much to lose obviously the need isnt there, I NEED these treatments, I wish I could have more! Does anyone have more than one area treated with the ultrasound thingy? How much is it?

I hope I havent missed anyone!

I am off to Bradford tomorrow so weigh in on Thursday this week. I will pop on Thursday night and let you know how I get on :-)

Have a good week everyone!

BexxG · 17/11/2015 20:14

Sarahrose! Knew I had missed someone - I am ahead of schedule too because of the good weight losses I had early on. Helps cope better with the not so good weeks as it all averages out in the end :-) good luck xx

SpaceCucumber · 18/11/2015 22:08

Ooo Bexx I'm not far behind you. Apparently 47& body fat here. Shock

I've had a crap day today. I did my squats as suggested by the clinic, but didn't get any water down at all. I also rather stupidly did some weights to help strengthen my arms and then a plank and I've really hurt myself. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Tomorrow my new water filter thingie should be here and I've told Hubby not to buy any more of the stuff I drink. I've got green tea, and will finish the diet Sprite tonight and then it's water and green tea all the way. I'm also going to stick with just the squats that the clinic suggested from now on until I'm a bit further out from my surgery. I think I did too much lifting today (not supposed to lift anything much for another 5 weeks) and overdid it, hence the pain. Tonight is the first time I've had to take painkillers (and strong ones) since about 3 days after my surgery. Sad

How is everyone doing? What days do you all go and get weighed? I'm hoping to stick to a set day each week (preferably a Monday).

alphachick007 · 18/11/2015 22:49

Hi here is the recipe for the sugar free meringues. I make double the portion and spread it over 2 days. They are great in the desserts and look lovely as a desert if you have a savoury meal.

Recipe
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup splenda or 1/4 cup Truvia (I use truvia)
1/2 tsp vanilla

Pre-heat the oven to 50-100 degrees
Combine egg, cream of tartar, salt.
Beat until frothy.
Beat in splends or truvia.Continue beating until mixture forms stiff peaks.
Fold in Vanilla
Spoon onto baking sheet.
Bake for 2 hours at 50 degrees. Switch oven off. and leave meringues overnight in the oven.
Store in an air tight box.

alphachick007 · 18/11/2015 22:53

Tomorrow I have a consultation with the Dr. I hope I have lost more weight ths week as I have missed my spinning classes. I really struggle with fitting in 5 meals on Mondays and Tuesdays when I am leading training sessions. My clinic says you can't have bars until stage 2 or 3. I would like to try them soon. Your posts are really encouraging.

SpaceCucumber · 18/11/2015 23:00

Ooo those sound delicious. I'm going to get some Truvia tomorrow and give them a go at the weekend. Smile

BexxG · 19/11/2015 08:52

Some clinics vary slightly, we had a great discussion about aubergines a few weeks ago because some of can have it and some of us cant lol! At my clinic I can have 3 bars a week. But I dont because i dont really like them, but its always handy to have one tucked in you bag or in the car in case you get caught out with timings etc :-)

My appointment is usually every wednesday morning, but as I was at Bradford yesterday I am going this afternoon.

SC - I really struggle getting water down me too. I think because I mainly have drinks on the programme I dont feel thirsty :-/ I must try harder though as it definitely makes a difference to weight loss. I always do better when Ive made an effort xx
