So, I'm changing my life on Monday...

Well, that's what I hope. Am currently overweight. I am tall so can carry it quite well, but I always feel very flabby and am uncomfortable with my size. I have lost weight successfully before so I know I can do it, but have lacked a bit of motivation and willpower in the last year. Gradually my weight has crept up and trying on clothes yesterday was not fun!!

My plan is this:
Food diary - am a mindless eater
Drink more water - tend to eat when I am actually thirsty
Move more - this will be the biggest change. I work FT now and move much less within my everyday life. I now need to factor in exercise as it is no longer part of my day to day life.

I would like to lose 14 pounds in total, but am going to start with 7 pounds as my first goal!

So, anyone care to join me?

I'd give all the eggs to be 11 stone something so 10 stone would be amazing. Grin Thinking positive thoughts for those weighing tomorrow.

I still have the unopened Davina dvd. As I am childfree for 4 hours today I may break open the cellophane. It's 7 mins rather than 9 but I may do two sections.

Off for breakfast with the Easter Bunny, then tonight Dh and I are off out for tapas, and I'm having a mojito and a margarita Shock

Hope you're ok Yertiz.

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 03/04/2015 08:25

I have the 15 minute Davina one. I do it once a week for 2 sessions. The core session and the arms session. The core one does give you that I've done exercise feeling the next day. The arm one doesn't maybe I need heavier weights.

Davina is not as annoying as I thought she'd be.

Weigh in tomorrow for me (which is thankfully the day before egg day!).

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 04/04/2015 07:42

10stone 12lb. Get in! Grin

LetMeDriveTheBus · 04/04/2015 09:09

Well done First.

1 pound off for me. That's 8 in total and I'm finally 11 stone something just! 11 stone 13 1/2 pounds!!

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 04/04/2015 17:55

Awesome LetMe!

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 05/04/2015 17:48

I've eaten too much tiday. Oh dear. I will probably be 11stone something again next week. :(

LetMeDriveTheBus · 05/04/2015 18:52

Snap First!

Am stuffing myself today and will be going cold turkey on the choc again tomorrow Grin.

houseof3boys · 05/04/2015 20:05

Count me in! Although I need to get some scales! Haha too scared to know. I am going to cut out sugar from my diet completely. A tricky one for me as I am a sugar fiend.
Going to join a spinning class as well. I need to loose over a stone :(
Good luck everyone!
I now have the challenge of finishing a whole easter egg before tomorrow otherwise it goes in the bin! :(

RunningKatie · 05/04/2015 20:49

Yay First and Letmein - amazing progress! Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm continuing my long line of dubious injuries, today I fell down the chuffing stairs. I have bruised my whole back, am.literally black and blue. Poor dd saw me and was screaming "mummy". Was bad. Anyway, am on the ibuprofen and wine now.

Am hoping the scales show a loss tomorrow. If not they may go out of the window.

YerTiz · 05/04/2015 20:58

Ouch Running that sounds scary, hope you're ok.

Thank you all for the kind thoughts about DH's grandad Flowers.

Well done on your losses First and Letme! My weigh in tomorrow, eek - I've just eaten a whole Lidl choc bunny! Easter Blush

Welcome house!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 05/04/2015 21:08

Hi house, welcome to the thread Smile.

Running you poor thing, how horrible!

Good luck for the weigh ins tomorrow. I've eaten so much chocolate today it's actually quite shameful! I've got an exercise class booked for tomorrow evening in the expectation hope that it'll help me get back on track.

houseof3boys · 05/04/2015 21:49

Thank you for your warm welcomes :) To be honest after having my baby boy 7 weeks ago I have felt pretty crap about myself, I used to be so much more confident :( I have found myself comparing all the time. Very unhelpful!
I am only just out of my maternity leggings.
It's great to hear that you are all doing really well, with summer looming I am determined to loose the flab.
I will weigh in tomorrow and face the challenge.
I hope you are ok running, that sounds scary!

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 05/04/2015 23:02

You see yertiz this is why I do my weigh ins on Saturday morning... The weekend can't influence the scales. ;)

running I've been there and done that... It's awful. I hope the bruising and pain improves soon.

Welcome house.

YerTiz · 06/04/2015 09:30

I know First I don't think I thought it through properly! Grin

0lb lost this week - not a shocker considering the crap I've eaten this week and in fact I'm relieved I haven't put more on!

house go easy on yourself! Your little one is only 7 weeks old! I was living in pjs and eating mainly cake at that point. My second DS is 1 and I'm only just getting back into shape.

How're you feeling generally? There are some good post natal workouts you can find via google.

LetMeDriveTheBus · 06/04/2015 17:32

Today started out well but I've just eaten one of the DC's lindt bunnies!! Easter Blush Terrible behaviour!

I'm still going to go to my exercise class tonight even though it feels rather pointless now. Need to draw a line under easter and move on, but it's hard when there's so much chocolate right under my nose!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 06/04/2015 18:07

Ok, I've logged my calories up for today on MFP and it's given me some perspective. I've probably eaten at maintenance or slightly over. I'm annoyed I've binged but it's not a disaster. There's no need for me to use it as an excuse to carry on stuffing my face.

RunningKatie · 07/04/2015 08:35

Weigh in yesterday, 3lbs down. In reality this is just a correction after last weeks PMT bloat.

Anyone know what week we're on? I'm not making the progress I want to. I'm pretty sure every Monday I say I need to stop faffing about. Sad

LetMeDriveTheBus · 07/04/2015 16:38

Is it week 5?

I've done nothing but eat today. Appalled with myself!

You're back on track Running. That must count for something?

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 07/04/2015 17:25

Nah it must be week 6 or 7? Because I'm about to start week 5 on C25K and I took a break because of my pesky shins!

Well done running !

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 07/04/2015 17:26

Yep just counted... We have just started week 7.

RunningKatie · 07/04/2015 21:56

Hmmm, so in 7 weeks I've lost 3lbs. Well, it's a start I guess.

I have another date in my diary requiring a nice dress so I'm aiming for one that I've never worn. Plank challenge is needed!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 08/04/2015 07:48

Blimey, times flies when you're not sticking to the diet having fun!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 08/04/2015 07:49

Tell me more about the plank challenge.

RunningKatie · 08/04/2015 08:20

There is a page called 30 day challenges on Fb but also have a website. The plank challenge is one of theirs, it starts off easily enough but I struggle at 90seconds and haven't managed a full month yet!

30dayfitnesschallenges.com/30-day-plank-challenge/

Off to the park today, we are enjoying the sunshine.

AliaMairns · 08/04/2015 08:37

Hi, have just found this thread and love how supportive everyone is! Not sure if anyone has mentioned, as I am still working my way through, but I find Blogilates a great workout. It's a lady who does videos on YouTube and has recipes on her site etc. Each month she will do a workout plan and you just workout along with the videos for each day. She usually does a specific area calendar each month too, at the moment it's arms x
