So, I'm changing my life on Monday...

Well, that's what I hope. Am currently overweight. I am tall so can carry it quite well, but I always feel very flabby and am uncomfortable with my size. I have lost weight successfully before so I know I can do it, but have lacked a bit of motivation and willpower in the last year. Gradually my weight has crept up and trying on clothes yesterday was not fun!!

My plan is this:
Food diary - am a mindless eater
Drink more water - tend to eat when I am actually thirsty
Move more - this will be the biggest change. I work FT now and move much less within my everyday life. I now need to factor in exercise as it is no longer part of my day to day life.

I would like to lose 14 pounds in total, but am going to start with 7 pounds as my first goal!

So, anyone care to join me?

Dress arrived. It's lovely!!! I will be wearing it at my (#sigh) 40th later in the year....

I felt awesome today after yesterday's fast day. Springy and happy. I am more than aware that tomorrow will be harder though...,

Keep running runners and keep positive all. Xx

RunningKatie · 17/03/2015 17:12

All the best people are turning 40 this year Wink

DakotaFanny · 17/03/2015 17:18

When's yours?

RunningKatie · 17/03/2015 17:30

It has been Sad I'm a January birthday, I've always wanted a summer birthday party but instead I get snow.

Obviously, I do not look a day over 39!!!!!

DakotaFanny · 17/03/2015 18:15

Mine is VERY late in the year...rubbish weather guaranteed. I really fancied a garden piss up BBQ etc birthday: not such a great idea in mid-winter.

My dress would look awful covered in snow anyway!!! Grin

Is it okay so far?!! X

LetMeDriveTheBus · 17/03/2015 18:32

Hope the class is good Running.

RunningKatie · 17/03/2015 21:09

So far so good, I have decided I need a garden bench and I have restarted hulahooping classes clearly not having a midlife crisis Oh and i've bought a tent too!

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 17/03/2015 22:51

Hula hooping classes... I've never heard of such a thing. Sounds awesome!

headoverheels · 18/03/2015 09:09

I was 40 last year! It's not too bad so far....

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 18/03/2015 21:43

I've just had another cadbury's creme egg. :(

obrigada · 19/03/2015 10:12

Morning, ok if I join ye? I weighed in on Monday evening at 11st 10lb, I am trying to go as veggie as possible. Hoping for a 3lb weight loss next Monday.
Only really started yesterday but ate well (no chocolate, crisps or meat Grin). Went for a walk yesterday evening and plan on doing the same this evening. Just going to take it day by day.

LetMeDriveTheBus · 19/03/2015 10:49

Welcome obrigada. Sounds like a good plan.

I'm out on a jolly with DH saturday as my mum is having the kiddies overnight. I'm intending to throw caution to the wind on the food and booze front so I'm trying to be very controlled until my weigh in Saturday morning.

obrigada · 19/03/2015 11:28

Sounds like a good plan LetMe, that's the way I want to look at my weight loss Smile

YerTiz · 19/03/2015 13:28

Hello obrigada and welcome.

I've been bad this week at recording via mfp so a bit worried that I'm going to start eating more again - trying hard to stop when just full rather than keep eating to bursting!

Really need to up my exercise but still getting over this humdinger of a cold, gah! Now evenings are getting lighter tempted to have a go at C25k...

YerTiz · 19/03/2015 13:30

Oh and definitely need to have some treats/time off being good LetMe, you deserve it.

obrigada · 19/03/2015 14:21

Hi Yer, my aim is to do the C25K as well, but think I need to master the art of walking first Grin

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 19/03/2015 16:40

I'm on week 4 of the c25k and I'm getting on well with it. :)

DakotaFanny · 19/03/2015 17:14

I did C25K last year, it's amazing. Such a great feeling looking back from week four to week one.

Good luck all. X

Am impressed by the runners! I am loving my clubbercise classes - dancing about in the dark to fab music with glow sticks......what's not to love!! But one of my knees has been really painful during it recently. I realised my trainers are really old so am thinking getting a new, more supportive pair might help. Does anyone have any advice??

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 21/03/2015 07:41

Morning all. It's my weigh in today.
Week 1 - ? No scales
Week 2 - 11stone11lb
Week 3 - 11stone7lb (-4)
Week 4 - 11stone4lb (-3)
Week 5 - 11stone2lb (-2)
Total loss 9lb.

I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed this week. I thought it had been going well (except for the creme egg). But I'm being silly a 2lb loss is great. It's just I'm so close to being 10stone something and I think I got iver excited about seeing a 10!

DakotaFanny · 21/03/2015 08:45

Two pounds is great firstofficer. Well done.

LetMeDriveTheBus · 21/03/2015 09:02

2 pounds is excellent first.

I'm 1 pound down. So I've lost 6 pounds in total (I think.....need to check MFP).

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 21/03/2015 17:23

Thank you. I know its good I really do... I was just so hopefully that I might, just might hit the 10 stone something mark.

Maybe next week :)
