dislexicicecream · 16/10/2006 11:28

the sweat is driping off me i felt so bad about the chcolate i been on dance matt, n the cal counter on there it says i have done 71 kal, i have only done 20 minis not my houer, but well that shuld be the chocolate done right?
hummm, sweetheart what wood be a good chalenge? a food one or exercics?
any one got any idears of what we could do ?

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 12:12

well I know that my normal 2 gym visits will probably go out the window next week as I usually go in my lunch hour at work and seeing as I will be home with 2 kids I probably won't get the chance to go. I could always try and go for a bike ride instead.

I need to try and get out of the house otherwise I'll just end up eating loads. So maybe the challange should be to get out the house and try and get some excercise while I'm at it.

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 12:13

oh and also - to go food shopping and avoid buying lots of sweets, cakes and crisps etc etc just because the kids are on holiday!

mummydoc · 16/10/2006 12:19

hello again, crap , crap , crap weekend, dd2 second birhtday - please go over to cods birhtday thread for more details, so hungover this am haven't eaten anyhting , but christmas day is 10 weeks today so 1 lb a week is doable, feel determined. but still c**p

dislexicicecream · 16/10/2006 12:43

ok im lazzy in holidays, so maybe for me,goals of getting every one up and dressed every day b4 10am.
the house hooverd or what ever to straghten up,
and then a walk some where with the kids,
and to try to stick to 3 meals a day and NO picking!
sweetheart can u do your shopping on line? i get myne through tescos, ok it takes a cupple of goes to get used to , but i have found cos i am not looking at the sweets and crisps i dont bye them any more, how ever i do need to stop byeing pasta (or start eating it) cos i seem to keep byeing it and now have at least 15 un opend bags hehehe !
mummydoc dont feel to bad about the b day party spoiling your self,
i think i said b4 on hear that i ate and drank every thing at my dds b day 5 weeks ago, thats when i stoped with slimming world,
but scince then i have lost 3lbs, hoping for more this week, so dont let it stop your motivation.

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 12:59

I have tried shopping online about 4 times and I hated it. I always found that the fresh produce (salad and veggies) went off the day they arrived. I'd much rather pick my own shopping - at least that way I know what I'm getting will last me the week!

I'm actually quite good with shopping - I take a list so I only look out for what I need. Also I don't tend to buy biccies and stuff as I know if they are not in the house I can't be tempted to eat them! My dd loves strawberrys and grapes so I'll just buy loads of those for her to snack on instead! Right must dash - I have a date with the gym - Grown!!!!!

dislexicicecream · 16/10/2006 13:25

oh,
u must have crappy shop then cos my veg is always good,
we have our first weigh in on thursday, i have just made a chart for my self of my mesuermets, i have done, date, weight, L arm R arm , bust, rib cage, waste, tummy (AKA my over hang ), hips, thighs L and R,and my knees,
I am going to mesuer my self each week so i can see where the weight is loseing/gaining to and then maybe pay mor attenteion to them areas, also i know it will give me more motervation if i can see a change on my body as well as on the scales,
anyone else doing this? i highly recomend it.
good luck at the gym

loopity · 16/10/2006 13:35

No,no,noooooo - I've just started munching the leftovers in fridge from dd's birthday party. Please someone stop me....

mummydoc - just saw the thread - anaethetising effects of alcohol definitely warranted I'd say.

hehe, now u r on the junk food like me and the choc this morning ....
ok ... now put the food down and slowly back away from it
want to borrow my cat ? hehe

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 14:15

ok well I have been thinking in the last hour (yes it did hurt!)

The reason i fall foul to crap food at home is because it gets to lunch time and I go through all my cupboards and relise I have nothing in the house that
a) is healthy and
b) that I actually fancy eating.

So, I skip lunch and then about an hour later I'm so starving that I raid the biscuit tin or have a packet of crisps.

So - what I need is some appertising but healthy lunch ideas for next week to avoid the midday splurge on junk food!

I try to avoid sandwiches at lunch time as I always feel the need for a fattening filling and a packet of crisps. What else can I eat - Oh and I'm also sick of salad!!! It's winter now don't you know!

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 14:16

oh an loopity - STEP AWAY FROM THE LEFTOVERS!!!!!!! If you stop now you might be able to salvage a weight loss this week - keep on and you'll be a Ib heavier!!!!!!

dislexicicecream · 16/10/2006 14:25

some of lunches i have r

  1. tortea wrap , with low fat cottege cheese some lettus and tomato with a load of black pepper .....ok u said no salad but its good, funny as this might sound anouther one is torta wrap with scrambled egg and low fat cottege cheese, i know it sounds odd but works well, u can bye low fat yougats and crisps just a bit pricy £££, my lunch today was left over veg stew from last night, mmmmmm
sweetheart · 16/10/2006 14:34

aren't those bread wrap things quite high in calories though?!?!?! We had Fajhitas the other night as a treat because I though they were fattening!

dislexicicecream · 16/10/2006 14:46

well i have iceland brown bread hear, if we compair them with summerfeild wraps
2 bits of bread, 188 kcal
1 wrap is 171
2 bits of bread fat = 2.2 g
1 wrap fat = 3.6
so yes higher on the fat, but i find them so much more filling than a sandwich and after eating one or two i dont tend to have other stuff
when i eat a sandwich out comes the crisps, fizzy, and yougats and cerial bars
maybe its just me,

sweetheart · 16/10/2006 14:48

I brough some of the mini wraps for my dd this week so perhaps they are better than the big ones. I might make some scrambled egg as then my ds (10 mths) can have it for lunch too. Ummmm it's hard isn't it - I really need to stock up on stuff otherwise I'm in danger of heading to McDonalds!

loopity · 16/10/2006 15:53

Ok - have stopped the munching don't worry about sending the cat over!

When I'm at home with toddler while 2 other kids at school I just eat without even registering - was a lot easier to stick to healthy eating when I was working but I'm at home on career break now so food cupboards harder to avoid.

Sweetheart re lunch options - do you have somewhere to heat up food in work? I used to keep tins of soup in desk drawer and have one of those with bread roll and fruit. Think those miniwraps should be fine too. Currant ryvita with ham, tomato and salad cream is yummy too.

BTW what are you all making for tea tonight out of interest???

OP posts:
sweetheart · 16/10/2006 16:18

yes we will have a microwave at work soon - My boss nicked it but we have demanded one back for the winter.

I just get a bit bored of eating the same thing every day and don't often have chance to sit and eat properly when I'm home with the kids.

For tea tonight I'll probably be making chicken curry. Its one of my fav meals and on ww it's only 2.5 points without the rice.

loopity · 16/10/2006 16:30

Why did your boss nick the micro???

Think we're going to have pasta - no extra cheese for me though.
