Why not try the OPTism diet. Here is a little reminder for the fridge door. After all a woman can't live on bread alone at all.

For those in a hurry...OPT-I-fast

Yay Fav Grin

Big OPTober success for me was dropping down into the 9s Smile

Now looking forward to shedding those unwanted stones and the last six pounds in NOvember Grin

Trills · 01/11/2014 15:04

I've had a lot of free food (and some beer) at work over the last couple of days. On the (sort of) plus side I didn't feel like eating anything today til after 1, so I'll see if that'll see me through to this evening.

FavadiCacao · 03/11/2014 10:07

Not long now 'til Stone shedding day :)

How have you managed the last couple of days, Trills?

I caved in this weekend and turned the pumpkin into a creamy soup using coconut milk; I fried some asparagus in coconut oil; I had a paleo tortilla or 2 and some crackling! Grin
This month I'm back to eating Primal and I will concentrate in losing/tonig the very few squidgy bits left. :)

That's awesome Fava - well done!

Vic - is the op this Thursday? Hope all goes well.

Half term has been a write-off for me, although I did attempt to make better choices on a couple of days. We were out or had people round every day resulting in a lot of convenience meals & a few meals out.

On the upside, I went to firework party on Saturday and a couple of people I haven't seen since the beginning of summer commented on my weight loss.

I also got round to trying on the lovely dark blue jeans in the smaller size that I ordered from Next a couple of weeks ago and they fit! Well, they go on & they do up - I need to lose a few more pounds to minimise the slight 'muffin top' effect, but I have the incentive of a special day out with DD at the beginning of December, so am happy to be back on the case today & fairly confident I'll crack it!

Victrix · 04/11/2014 18:54

Op is on the 17th - got my letter today so it's official Grin

Roast chicken dinner tonight Smile

FavadiCacao · 05/11/2014 15:02

Well done Byrd and yes, you will crack it! There is something magical and motivational about fitting in the next size down and next after that... Grin

Vic, it's like the twelve days of Christmas: I believe partridge and pears for dinner tonight, you can swap the swans with a duck (to comply with her majesty's rule) and we'll order the drummers in for the 17th Grin

Still under ten stone despite biscuits Grin

Haven't forgotten about snake pics for you Fav but Fudge (no longer Bruiser because he's a sweetheart) was shedding until today so he didn't look his best!

FavadiCacao · 07/11/2014 18:47

Oh, I bet Fudge was still cute with his frizzy scales look!

Biscuits?! Isn't strange when you get to the stage that you can have forbidden foods but you know it won't affect you (but still scared enough to check with Scales) because you're in control? Grin A loviest friend went out of her way to get me my favourite treat and it was so nice to be able to share and enjoy the sumptiousnesss of rich velvety dark chocolate without the slight hint of guilt. I hate chocolate throughout the last few weeks but today was guilt free. Grin

Fudge being a silly knot Grin

Gallstones are grumbling again, they can fuck off. I'm not going in to hospital this week so I've nuked them with painkillers.

This time in a week they should be gone though!

Hockey, Dokey: OPTober is here! OPT-in, OPT out, shed it all about.
FavadiCacao · 11/11/2014 12:21

He is a very handsome silly knot Grin

Flowers, 6 days to go and you'll be rid of the nasty stones!

OP posts:
Victrix · 11/11/2014 13:26

I know, I'm totally counting down Grin

I'm sticking to porridge and other "safe" foods this week, I'm not going to hospital until next Monday, I refuse.

FavadiCacao · 11/11/2014 21:15

I'll do the count down with you: 5 days and just under 3 hours! Grin

''safe'' foods... Have you noticed a link to 'stones playing up'? I am still baffled on how long it took me dh, to be honest to notice the wheat link (for me but not entirely for ds) .

OP posts:
Victrix · 11/11/2014 21:55

To be fair mine seem to do what they want, fatty stuff does seem to play up but I'm hoping that will clear up once they're out so I can get back to being pretty Paleo.
I was gluten free anyway, apparently gallstones at a younger age is a fairly common indicator of a gluten intolerance. Fizzy stuff is also out.

I'm pretty much just crossing everything Grin

OkyDoke · 12/11/2014 16:26

In the spirit of the original thread, any ideas on how to lose a pound or two by this time tomorrow??

Trills · 15/11/2014 12:32

By this time tomorrow?

Oh, that was on Wednesday.

Er, did you do it?

I was going to recommend just avoiding fizzy drinks or anything salty, so you wouldn't be feeling bloated or holding onto water.

Victrix · 18/11/2014 09:52

Well I lost loads of stones yesterday... But they were gallstones so maybe they don't count?

Bit gutted you don't get to keep them any more, they just disappear off to a lab somewhere Sad Grin

Trills · 18/11/2014 20:03

Congratulations!

I would want to keep them as well :)
