Yes, I plan to hibernate Grin

Your dinner sounds lovely, I'm deciding between a thai green curry or a keralan coconut curry. I may flip a coin!

FavadiCacao · 16/10/2014 16:16
Grin Oh! I don't know keralan curry, it sounds delicious. I do you make it? :)

I had a clubcard voucher for money off this: Link

I've had this with chicken in a restaurant before but never made it.

FavadiCacao · 16/10/2014 16:32

I keep forgetting there are 'real' shortcuts to preparing food, I'll keep an eye out -I love tamarind in sauces. Grin Can I find it in supermarkets?

OP posts:
Victrix · 16/10/2014 16:40

I've had a jar of tamarind paste from Tesco before.

I'm rediscovering all my shortcuts Grin

FavadiCacao · 16/10/2014 17:02

Much easier to use for a jar than making it from the pods...It so happens I have a jar. ingredients.

I'm going to try this with chicken and add a splash of coconut. :)

yumyumpoppycat · 16/10/2014 18:22

pants I have burned the kid's pasta!

FavadiCacao · 16/10/2014 18:35

It's not burned, it's crispy! Grin

Thank you Vic, it was delicious. Grin I didn't use the coconut in the end, we all tasted it first and decided we'll try with the coconut next time. I wish I had chucked the frozen broccoli in as well because sauce was lovely with them. :) (instead of the tamarind liquid I used 1tsp of tamarind sauce per 500g of chicken with a cup of water)

9st 12lb Grin Grin Grin

I also took a picture of the scales Grin

WyrdByrd · 17/10/2014 12:07

Well done to all who've made progress.

My attempts have been a flop this week - combo of being busy & unarsed about cooking/shopping. Late visit from plumber last night resulted in chippy tea, and tonight we have pizza (& salad).

Work is v stressful atm which isn't helping at all, and I think the disappointment of thinking I'd dropped another dress size & discovering I haven't quite done it has sent me downhill. Think I need to just maintain for a week or two, then get properly back on the case after half term. Am still going to eat healthily, but not as hardcore.

I have resigned myself to it being a slow process so I guess I just have to suck it up for the time being.

FavadiCacao · 17/10/2014 18:16

Yipee, Vic! I'm dancing the with you. Grin Grin Grin

Byrd! You lost more than a dress size! and almost a second! in just over 6 weeks. That is not failing, That is sooome doing and more! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin How about a or a to celebrate your new figure?! Napoli makes the best pizza, after all. :)

When I went shopping yesterday, I picked a pair of jeans, in one of the smaller fitting shops, and thought I would never fit in them, they looked so tiny...they were too big! Grin Confused My brain body image has clearly not adjusted yet!
I had a much wider choice than last time I went shopping and I had fun discovering what cut suits the new me, even if I didn't find the perfect pair of jeans, yet. It was a completely different story for bras: cup sizes seem to be even more random than clothes!

yumyumpoppycat · 20/10/2014 16:02

Favadi did you go to bravissimo by any chance? Sounds like a fun shopping trip!

WyrdByrd · 20/10/2014 17:40

Envy Grin Fava...you've done so well. I'm in awe of your willpower.

Have given myself a metaphorical kick up the backside, and decided to get back on track asap. Won't be 100% until the end of the week as it's pre payday make it up as you go along week here, and DH's birthday on Wednesday so we're going out for Chinese.

After that though, I'm straight back on the case with pseudo-Scarsdale. Have ordered myself a dress for my friend's 40th at the beginning of January - the biggest size it comes in is an 18 so I have 10 weeks to drop a dress size & a bit Confused . There's a 4 week wait for it though so hopefully will have shifted at least half a stone before it even arrives.

Wish me luck!

FavadiCacao · 20/10/2014 20:52

The shopping trip was a lot of fun: not so sure DH would agree but he was a good helper and kept finding new things for me to try. Grin

Thank you, Byrd. :) I'm not sure I could have done it without all the support I received from yumyum and wiifit and then you, coffee, not to mention Vic's super sparkly and shiny and bright halo, which lightened my path. Grin Flowers
I reckon is roughly a stone per size and maybe even a touch less, so size18 is well within your reach in 10 weeks. :)

As a reward to my good behaviour, I bought the next set of Tracy's dvds! I had a preview on youtube and I suspect I'll be back to singing to Johnny Cash Bound by wild desire, I fell into a ring of fire...I went down, down, down as the flames went higher... and it burns, burns, burns Grin

Victrix · 21/10/2014 18:26

Grin at my inspirational halo- which quite frankly was in a box this weekend though I'm still 9 st 12 weirdly.

Got a copy of Darcey Bussell's pilates DVD though so I'm going to start doing that Smile

FavadiCacao · 21/10/2014 20:36
Grin Have you reached your goal, yet? or are you hoping for a bit more?

I am at a strange fork in the road: I feel really happy with the way I look and what I achieved these last seven weeks. :) Yet I feel there could be room for improvement and I'm not sure whether 2 kgs is the answer or whether I could/should lose a little more. I want to look slim, toned and healthy but not thin... Then, there's part of me that wants to get back into my little dresses and part of me that thinks the top half of me never will! Grin

OP posts:
Victrix · 21/10/2014 20:50

I'd like to drop about another 6 pounds, and improve my fitness level. I'm slimmer but still wobbly Grin

FavadiCacao · 21/10/2014 21:16

It sounds we might need a Movember! Grin

Hi all, TwoTon here. Sorry I've not been about for a while but rl has been rather stressful.
Well done to those that have lost. I have remained kind of stable for the last 2 weeks which is frustrating but at least I haven't gained any I suppose.
The colder weather is making me want to heat more though so I am trying not to over indulge.
