The OPT-ions are endless. We are all charged to go! Grin If negativity is not for you...

Why not try the OPTism diet. Here is a little reminder for the fridge door. After all a woman can't live on bread alone at all.

For those in a hurry...OPT-I-fast
In an emergency rush: OPT1cal -the eyes have it 'cause the mouth can't. it shed stones

The Chocolate diet allows all OPTIONS flavour. :)

Even better- potentially losing a good few stones tomorrow Wink

Trills · 28/10/2014 13:46

Article in the Guardian that seems niely relevant - 'Forget common sense or sound, peer-reviewed nutritional advice'

WyrdByrd · 28/10/2014 15:22

Aarrgh! It's not going well...

Have a busy & sociable week planned so house is full of goodies. Mostly managing to avoid the worst of the temptation (no ice cream last night...no sweeties today) but can't get it together to cook different meals for everyone.

Made lovely healthy soup for lunch, then DH came home with fresh crusty bread...bugger!

FavadiCacao · 28/10/2014 21:14

Keeping my fingers crossed for stones loss tomorrow.:)

Trills Grin

Byrd, Well done on resisting sugar. :)
Thinking of your week ahead, resisting temptation without an alternative can be very tough. Do you like dark chocolate? (low in sugar, leading to less craving) How about freezing some bananas to eat as a lolly or to blend with some berries as an ice-cream?

Can your dh help with the feeding the children (and himself)? I cook the same meal for all of us, adding some fat at the end of cooking and potatoes, rice for the others but I remember ds being so fussy when younger and some battles were not worth fighting for.

Well I've just been told I'll be fasting from midnight so it's on Grin

They better let me count the damn things!

FavadiCacao · 28/10/2014 21:37

Grin I'm excited for you! My dad said that the post-op pain was nowhere near the original. Flowers

Thanks Fav Smile

They've just taken away my water jug so it's all real Grin

FavadiCacao · 29/10/2014 07:42

Do you have a time yet?

OP posts:
WyrdByrd · 29/10/2014 07:48

Good luck today Vic. I felt pretty good after my gallstones op a few years ago, but was very tired for a few days afterwards.

Fava... it's really just cba on my part, and also having bits and pieces to finish up.

Just had 3 breakfast biscuits, will be soup for lunch & Hairy Dieters chicken jalfrezi for dinner.

Hopefully will start getting my mojo back after today.

Victrix · 29/10/2014 07:50

No, no time yet. I'm just looking forward to this being done and dusted Grin

They better let me see my gallstones.

FavadiCacao · 29/10/2014 08:13

Keep us updated.:)

Now it isn't today! It's gone back to the 17 th of November! Angry

Getting to go home though.

FavadiCacao · 29/10/2014 09:26

That's horrible! Maybe They are determined to make sure you lose the last 6lbs Grin

OP posts:
Victrix · 29/10/2014 09:32

Maybe one of them was on these threats and doesn't want me cheating?

I'm so gutted, having a bit of a cry Blush

WyrdByrd · 29/10/2014 09:49

Thanks They are buggers messing you about like that.

Hope you enjoy being back at home for a bit though. At least you can be a bit more prepared for the op.

I already have a wish list of bits & bobs in case I need the cyst removed in the new year - mostly food related as the provision at our hospital was somewhere between appalling and non-existent.

The staff were fabulous though, which is the main thing.

Victrix · 29/10/2014 09:54

I am glad to be going home. I think most of my emotional state can be put down to fastingGrin

On the plus side I've been worrying since yesterday about my baby corn snake- DP told me he's not in his tank- so I can look for him.

FavadiCacao · 29/10/2014 13:01

Oh yes! There are definitely deep links between emotions and fasting! Grin

Poor baby corn, he/she (how do you sex a snake?) was clearly missing you or is hungry too. :) Do you need to have a specific temperature in the house if the snakes escape their tank at this time of the year? Do they hybernate or is the UV light enough to keep them awake?
Can we have picture updates of the two babies, pleeeease? Grin

Victrix · 29/10/2014 13:48

I feel much better now I've eaten and had tea Grin

The hunt is now on for Tesla, the baby corn of unknown gender who I've been calling a he anyway. It's the cat's fault, she'd pulled the bit of folded cardboard out that blocks the cable hole so he's got out that way. They're a hardy breed though so he'll be fine in the house as long as he isn't in the cat Confused

Victrix · 29/10/2014 14:05

OK, panic over- I found him instantly on the bookshelf that DP allegedly dismantled last night and clearly didn't

I'll find some decent pics for you Fav Grin

FavadiCacao · 29/10/2014 16:47

Yeah for Tesla not being camouflage savvy Grin

FavadiCacao · 30/10/2014 18:30

Last night, almost a spooky one!

I discovered some really s*y news this week, I didn't reach for c*p cupboard (hurray! Grin ) but tonight a wavered and opened a bottle of wine! Only after doing my exercises! :) I guess the last 0.6kg will still be there tomorrow (and possibly more!).

OP posts:
Victrix · 30/10/2014 21:27

Wine is a good thing. Sorry you've had some crappy news x

FavadiCacao · 31/10/2014 07:54

Thank you, Vic. The Wine was good last night but my head says otherwise this morning.

I did it, I did it, I almost did it. Down 0.5kg! MFP tells me I lost 10kg (22lbs, 1st 8lbs) since the 1st of Slimtember! Grin Grin Grin
