All methods of weight loss welcome, simply weigh yourself at the beginning and the end of the month and the winner gets to feel all skinny and proud!

Anyone?

Checking in after a week.
Weight : 73.5 (-0.6kg).

I am really disappointed because I was 73.2 at the beginning of the week. I had a piece of cake yesterday, but I went for a long walk afterwards and my total for the day was still way under my TDEE. WHY?

twobambinos · 09/10/2014 08:56

Well done on all the losses.
I have decided I'm not going to weigh till the end of the month. I did take weight and measurements on the 1st and have them written down for the big reveal ha ha.
Just had a turkey sambo for brekkie, its not the usual Weetabix but did the trick nicely Smile keep up the good work everyone

Krakken · 09/10/2014 09:24

Well done to the losers!
I'm not weighing yet either. I'm just trying to focus on ridding my diet of sugar at the moment.
I'm going to weigh at the end of next week but my jeans do feel looser!

MercuryRising · 09/10/2014 09:24

I have had a challenging week at work this week and I'm at a family funeral today, but I have just weighed myself and against the odds I have managed to lose a pound. I will be back to being focussed from tomorrow. Figgieroll my daily calorie intake is set at 1495 which is perfectly manageable - if it was too low I would never stick to it Smile

GirlsonFilm · 10/10/2014 14:28

Weigh in - 5lb off.....but don't get too excited as I've got 4.5 stone to lose so I would expct a good start.

I'm sticking to mfp (and using the habitforge app to make sure I do record my food on mfp) and I'm do Sober October (not to be sponsored but to kick start the weightloss).

So a good week, I'm happy. Hope everyone else's weigh-iuns were good news too.

Shockingundercrackers · 10/10/2014 22:00

Hurrah! 5lbs! Good one girls!

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 10/10/2014 22:19

Mercury, my condolences, I hope you and your family got through the week ok. You must have been very dedicated to manage to lose weight too.

Girls, great start, well done!

I was out for a work dinner last night and was very restrained...smoked salmon to start, delish trout for main and I skipped the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake although I think I drooled on the sleeve of the guy sitting beside me as he tucked in. And in one fell swoop I've completely undone it tonight by having a chippy tea and a small glass or two of wine.

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 13/10/2014 08:06

Hello everyone! How was the weekend?
I managed to stick to one small piece of DH's birthday cake on Friday (almond dacquoise, a layer of crispy praline and chocolate mousse). I only had a tiny roast potato on Sunday. The scales are moving down again : 72.8 this morning (-1.3kg).

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 13/10/2014 12:07

Well done Sentaus! I wish I'd been as disciplined as you over the weekend. I ate all round me and had some lovely wine on Saturday night so didn't lose any weight, but also didn't put on anything, which is good.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

TheEnchantedForest · 13/10/2014 18:02

Well done everyone, particularly those of you who've had challenging weeks. I it is so hard to stay focused when life takes over.

I weighed in yesterday at 10st 1.5lbs so 2lbs off this week which I am delighted with. Really want to get under 10st though-it's been years!

I started hula hooping this week with a weighted hoop. I thought it wasn't doing much but my abs are aching now and My hips are covered in bruises! has anyone tried it? In am hoping that if I keep at it I will soon notice a difference (smaller waist rather than bigger bruises!)

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 14/10/2014 11:29

Well done everyone that is being so disciplined. It's my weekly weigh in tomorrow and I am not too hopeful. I just seem to want to eat non-stop at the moment (stress - I need to find different ways of handling it!). Am trying my best to get some healthy meals in there rather than just eating rubbish. Need to try really hard with that one. I'm starting to get a sore throat (which I think is more of a sign of being run down/overdoing it rather than a virus).....

The weighted hula hoop sounds interesting enchanted - I'd hate to think how many bruises I'd get doing it! lol

GirlsonFilm · 14/10/2014 15:22

Good news at the weight loss every, lookslike teh total loss to date is well over a stone so imagine how much we can all lose between now and the end of the month.

I had a less good weekend, but I'm back at work today so back on track. My trousers are feeling looser so I'm hoping that I didn't do too much damage over the weekend.

Shockingundercrackers · 15/10/2014 11:28

Hello October losers... Who else weighs in today? I'm 74.5 kg this morning so slowly shifting the weight. That's 1.4kg in two weeks - not too bad. Finding it alright at the moment, but I'm sooooo impatient to be back in my old jeans! I literally can't wait to get on the scales and see 70kg, it's so close now. And yet so far.

Good luck to anyone else braving the scales!

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 16/10/2014 09:41

Checking in. 73kg this morning. I have put on weight since Monday Angry.

I have been losing weight for nearly 3 months now so I suppose that I shouldn't expect to lose more than 1lb/week.

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 16/10/2014 10:57

Great work on the weight loss everyone! Senatus, it sucks when you the scales go the wrong way (they've been doing that for me for the last couple of months!) but you'll get back on track again. I've had to employ major restraint to only weigh myself once a week, but I was getting a bit ott about it, so I'm being very restrained Blush. I'm having a bad week. My period arrived with a vengence so I've been eating everything that isn't nailed down, and now I've got the lovely cold/sinus thing that DS brought home from daycare. I'm not that unwell unlike DH who it seems needs 24 hour nursing care but I'm not sure about going for my run later. Half of me is saying I'll feel better after it, the other half is calling for my duvet, a giant mug of hot chocolate and the rubbish telly!

GirlsonFilm · 17/10/2014 18:02

Goofd news on the weightloss Shocking I've lost another 2.5lb.....just over half a stone in total. ......vey pleasedGrin

Having said that I've had several chocolate biscuits today and am currently on the peanuts. .....oops

Shockingundercrackers · 18/10/2014 17:19

Wow,nice work girls! Where do you get your amazing calorie-free chocolate biscuits from? I want some!

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 20/10/2014 17:24

How is everyone? Hope all the good intentions are holding up. I'm down another 1kg, which I'm delighted about, especially after a 1yr old's birthday party yesterday where there was a lot of cake! Happy and low calorie thoughts to anyone weighing in this week!

GirlsonFilm · 20/10/2014 19:40

Shocking sadly my chocolate biscuits aren't magic .....hence needing to lose 4.5stone Sad

Shockingundercrackers · 20/10/2014 21:19

Well done fritbased you must be delighted with that!

I had a weekend off. Still tracked but only in a half arsed way. We had guests staying all weekend so roast dinners, lashings of wine, crisps (lots of crisps Blush and a dinner dish cooked by DH which I after found out was 1,000 cal per serving! Yikes.

Back on track now and cut down today to try and compensate!

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 23/10/2014 07:25

72.7 this morning. Still going down, albeit very slowly. BMI 25.16.

It was DD1's birthday party yesterday. I am proud of myself because I managed to have a small slice of ice-cream pie, a cupcake and a few Haribo, and that was it. I didn't use it as a excuse to gorge myself. I had a very light lunch and dinner, so my overall calorie intake was still under my TDEE (even though the carbs went through the roof).

GirlsonFilm · 23/10/2014 19:20

Good news Senatus congratulations.

My weigh-in tomorrow, I'm not sure it's going to be good news.

GirlsonFilm · 24/10/2014 19:22

Stayed the same on the scales, better than putting on, and I know exactly why.

Onwards and upwards, or rather hopefully downwards

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 31/10/2014 07:26

Checking in on the last day of the month.
I am still 72.7kg. That's only a 1.6kg loss. I am a bit disappointed because I have had only one "off" day where my calorie total exceeded my goal.

I have lost 2cm off my hips, which is nice. Some of my size 14 trousers even feel a little baggy.

I wanted to be under 70kg for the New Year but it might not be possible after all.

How is everyone doing?

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 31/10/2014 14:08

Hi everyone, hope all the weigh ins today are good! Senatus, well done on how much you have lost, even though it's not as much as you wanted. Scales aside, it's great when you start feeling the difference in your clothes. 2.7kg by Christmas is definitely possible. I often find that after a disappointing few weeks I seem to drop a disproportionate amount the following weeks. Hopefully it'll be the same for you.

I'm down 1.8kg (4lbs) overall. I had a big blip last week and put up the kg I had lost the previous week, so it's not unexpected. I have another 5kg to lose, which I was hoping would be gone by Christmas, so I'll have to see how realistic that is! Slow and steady, slow and steady...

Happy Halloween!
