All methods of weight loss welcome, simply weigh yourself at the beginning and the end of the month and the winner gets to feel all skinny and proud!

Anyone?

Toe I'm weighing weekly to see if I'm on the right track. I hope to lose a stone in October.

figgieroll · 05/10/2014 20:16

Welcome aboard enchanted.

Toe I thought I'd weigh weekly but yet still to do a weigh in - delaying it!

Penguin I know what you mean about mainlining digestives due to tiredness! I hope you are get some good quality sleep.

Mercury what will your target calorie intake be? And how have you managed today?

Started well but went a little pair shaped today when my friend kindly cooked for me. I didn't want to be a pain and be picky. I'm still in week two of low sugar, low carb and high protein, free use of sweetex so didn't feel too guilty.

Shockingundercrackers · 05/10/2014 22:13

Toe - weekly for me too, on a Thursday. I'm definitely feeling slimmer and AF arrived today so trying to hold off peeking till then. Totally ruins my morning if I've gained anything!

I had a totally refined sugar and processed foods free day yesterday.

I'm so pleased as I was thinking I'd never be able to give up the biscuits and junk but I now think I can. I'm going to try really hard today to stick to it for today too.

For me, this is about my health and nourishment as well as losing weight.

figgieroll · 06/10/2014 07:46

Kraken, I think the more sugar free days you do, the easier it gets especially after a week. I've had the odd slip up (due to period/visiting friends) and then the following day seems to be harder going for some reason

Krakken · 06/10/2014 09:52

Figgieroll yesterday I was feeling daunted by challenging myself to not eat any sugar but today I feel so good and don't want any sugar.

I know carbs are a form of sugar but I'm not giving those up although I've switched to wholewheat pasta, brown rice and the occasional slice of home made bread.

I'm going to keep this up for the whole of October except where I can't. I have ds2 and dds birthdays this month so I'm going to have to be careful then.

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 06/10/2014 16:30

Hi everyone, especially everyone new! Sorry, I'm on the app on my phone so can't remember who said what, but fair play to all of you with very little ones. I had to wait until DS was a year before I could even think of doing anything more than mainilining digestives!

Has anyone weighed in yet? I did this morning and... I'm down 1.1kg! I did a lot of running last week and I did my new bootcamp, so even though I wasn't quite as restrained as I should have been with my cake intake, it seems to have worked out.

rusmum · 06/10/2014 21:22

Started 30 day shred today so I'm in. 20 lb is to lose in all

GirlsonFilm · 07/10/2014 07:40

Hello All
Awful day yesterday 800 calories over mfp target ??, but on the positive side I didn't eat any chocolate.

So extra good for the rest of the week to try and claw back some of yesterday's overspend.

Hope everyone's doing better than me.

twobambinos · 07/10/2014 08:39

Girlsonfilm I wouldn't be so sure that I was any better than that yesterday ?? weigh day tomorrow and I wont have lost a thing.
Congratulations fruitbased that is a great start to the challenge.

Pompbear · 07/10/2014 13:06

I'm in. 14.9 start Sad

Krakken · 07/10/2014 14:23

I had another sugar free day yesterday and today, I popped over to a friends and refused cake with my coffee.

I'm having less to eat in the evenings too. Not entirely intentionally but I just don't feel the urge to.

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 07/10/2014 20:34

Wow Krakken, refusing cake is something I just can't ever imagine doing! Unless it's coffee cake...bleurgh.

Pombear, there is hope. I was 14st 5 when I started last August. Now I'm 10st 10. My aim is 9st10 (ish) so hoping to hit that by Christmas.

Thanks twobambinos, I'm celebrating with a bag of malteasers Blush. I was at boot camp again last night and I can hardly move today, but I did win the girl press up challenge! I was grunting like a boar by the end, but well chuffed.

Good luck with all the weigh ins this week!

Pompbear · 07/10/2014 21:39

wow fruitbased! that's brilliant. I am inspired. I got to 10.6 for my wedding. I think I was 10.6 for a Marrer of hours. never did reach my goal... this time!

do you mind me asking shat kind of changes you made?

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 07/10/2014 22:25

Ah thanks, Pombear. I've gone with the very basic programme of eating a lot less and getting off my ass an awful lot more! I'm using MFP to track calories and until I get to my target I'm trying to keep to a 1200 cal daily limit. I'm doing bootcamp 2-3 times a week and I'm running twice a week. I have used a lot of psychological tricks on myself too - it's ridiculous that I know I'm playing mind games with myself, but they are working.

PenguinsIsSleepDeprived · 07/10/2014 22:29

Oooh, what mind games did you play with yourself. I need a bit of that!

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 07/10/2014 23:03

Penguins, it's mainly reverse psychology and personal bests. I actually put off starting to lose weight by nearly 2 months to make myself really want it. Even though I hate running, I've started the bridge to 10k running programme because after I finished the c25k, I was bored and needed a new challenge. The only reason I won the push up challenge at bootcamp last night is because I'm the new girl there, where in my old bootcamp I still saw myself as the useless fatty holding everyone up. I know, I've a whole lot of issues to sort out!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 08/10/2014 00:27

Thought I had best check in, I'll be honest, I have no clue how I have done so far. Last few months have been hectic, so my main focus this month is to get my eating more back to normal and less "grab what I can"

This week has been better so far. I had an afternoon dinner today, and yesterday, small snack at work, and then something when I get in. I know I need to continue having my main meal before work, to stop me having too much rubbish at my desk and when I get in of an evening.

I will weigh in tomorrow to see how I have done weight wise in the first week. Good luck to everyone weighing in the morning!

Shockingundercrackers · 08/10/2014 10:19

I'm weighing in. After one week on this thread I've lost.... 400g.

???&&@@@**^^

I've been tracking religiously and have been coming in under my goal of 1750 every day (am breastfeeding so don't want to go lower than that). It's the dreaded plateau isn't it? Sob

friut your loss is amazing. Love the sound of your sit up smashing at boot camp? Any tips for the flatliner here?

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 08/10/2014 12:11

I'm weighing in too. I've lost 0.5lbs, which I am quite happy about seen as I have done no exercise, and I haven't calorie counted either. Just tried to eat more sensibly.

That's a good weight loss for one week shocking

Shockingundercrackers · 08/10/2014 21:22

Yes, I suppose it is. I'm a bit greedy though, and delusional... In my head I'm back in my lovely size 10 French Connection winter shorts... I even bought a new pair of boots to go with them last night!

Perhaps I won't be cracking them out of the loft just yet. Soon though, soooooon Wink.

Well done on your loss coldfeet

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 08/10/2014 22:23

I know what you mean shocking in my head I am nowhere near as big as I actually am! In my head I think I am still a 14/16, not a 20!! You're doing really well!! Especially seen as you're still breastfeeding!

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 08/10/2014 22:49

Shocking, a loss is a loss, no matter what, and anyway, it's one pound, which is the recommended sustainable amount to lose anyway, so you're right on track.

ColdFeet, half a pound without any effort just isn't fair! Well done Smile

I can hardly move after boot camp this morning. This last stone may actually be the death of me...

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 08/10/2014 23:36

Haha I may have made no effort in regard to diet and exercise this week but 1) I have a LOT to lose, and 2) I'm the process of moving house and I'm sure I am burning off loads of calories just through stress/anxiety! lol
