All methods of weight loss welcome, simply weigh yourself at the beginning and the end of the month and the winner gets to feel all skinny and proud!

Anyone?

I'm in...weighing 11st this morning which frankly disgusts me when I think about what I have shovelled into my mouth to get to that weight. My "fighting weight" is 9st 7lbs. I was this weight last summer after doing the 5:2. I've flirted with other ways of eating, Scottish Slimmers, Low Carb, Intuitive Eating and nothing has ever worked the same for me....

So back on the 5:2 from tomorrow...Also going to try and do the Shred. Have never last more than a week but need to get my arse in gear now...

Yesterday went well for me. Too many of my calories were 'spent' on crap but I stayed within my limit and walked for a few miles in my lunch break instead of sitting in the office.

I plan to limit my 'crap' snack to one piece today and go for another walk in lunch to compensate.

I'm doing the 30 day shred to - yesterday was a rest day but I'll force myself to do it after work this evening.

I don't weigh daily- there's too much fluctuation and for me it's a demotivater. Good luck today everyone Smile

FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 03/10/2014 11:41

Hey everyone, how's today going? I had definitely posted yesterday, but I don't know where it's gone?? Hmm

Anyway, I did a 5.81km run yesterday as a start to the bridge to 10km and it was tough! I did my new bootcamp this morning which was good. Lots of strength work, but I don't really feel like I burned many calories, although I'm sure I did and I know I'll be in a lot of pain later. I'm going out for dinner tonight, so I'll be saving up some for later!

twobambinos, I can't believe you're nearly 2 stone lighter than me and the same size - I must be very vanity shopping! (PS, are you Irish? I can't remember when I last heard someone say "that's gas"!)

twobambinos · 03/10/2014 13:14

Fruitbased yep you outted me i'm Irish.
well done on your run, i started running last year. i was able to do maybe 2km when i started because i had a what i would consider an ok base level of fitness from doing other exercise. it was tough to get to 10km but keep up the good work and you will get there in no time. ive since done a few 10km, 16kms and a half. only actually did one 5km.
ya sizing can be so weird but also people carry weight so differently. i used to think my large area was my chest but i just realised the last day that it seems to be after shrinking maybe from the running.
enjoy your dinner later that will be nice.
have a bit of a mum tum not much but that is def where my excess weight is. i really think if i could just shift the last half stone i wud be reasonably happy.

so far so good today, did the dry body brush, hot lemon water. had no time for brekkie lunch was a seeded roll with goatscheese and redonion. have also had a cup of tea drop of milk no sugar and my daily treat which was a cadbury cake bar 160kcals, hopefully i can leave the other 4 alone now.

Krakken · 03/10/2014 14:33

Can I join please?
I'm 11st10lbs which is very overweight for my 5'2" body!

I'm going to be logging into myfitnesspal and I'm working to 1400 cals a day. If I go over one day, I'm going to go under the next day so I maintain that level

I walk a lot so I'm carrying on with that and I've recently bought a yogalates DVD so I need to fit that in 3 times a week.

Here's to a big a weight loss on the 31st of October! It's quite exciting Smile

Shockingundercrackers · 03/10/2014 18:10

Pizza tonight. Proper pizza, from the pizza parlour. DH has bought TWO tubs of Ben and Jerry's for afters. Big ones (disclaimer: we do have guest coming round!)

Oh gawd. Have pre-logged this into MFP but may need to do some serious cutting back at breakfast tomorrow...

figgieroll · 03/10/2014 20:41

Pom here. Enjoying hearing about everyone's journey. I've completely fluffed up today. Reacted to some awful news by eating cake during cutting back on sugar week 2 (of 8 week plan). It's interesting actually that my reaction to a bad situation was to reach for the cake. I need to workout what I can do instead as there always be bad news in life. It has been a good observation to make though. The other thing I noticed was that I wasn't just satisfied with one small slice of cake, i had to nibble other sweet items as well. But actually im laying here now post sugar eating and my stomach feels slightly crampy and I feel quite buzzy after a week of no sugar calmness.

figgieroll · 03/10/2014 20:44

Sinister - can you try switching to veg instead of fruit? Celery sticks and pepper or cucumber.

rusmum · 03/10/2014 23:33

I'm in from Sunday!!!! Need to,lose 20lbs ASAP!!!!

GirlsonFilm · 04/10/2014 07:48

Good day yesterday, kept to all the mpf targets. Weekends tend to be where it all goes wrong for me so need to be aware of this and try and avoid the chocolate.

I'll be getting weighed on a Friday so will have to rely on my clothes feeling looser until then.

Hello everyone, hope your weekends are going okay. Well done sinister, bambinos. fruitdrink and everyone else who's stuck to their plans. Weekends are HARD and it's so easy to get derailed but I truly believe it doesn't matter, as long as you stay positive and let the next time you eat something you do it consciously [searches for a zen emoticon]

Shockingundercrackers · 04/10/2014 21:10

Oh and figgy and girls... Sorry, I'm on an iPad and being a bit rubbish with my shout outs. Frankly well done everyone, where ever you're at with this... Losing weight is hard bloody work!

PenguinsIsSleepDeprived · 04/10/2014 21:14

Can I join late? I was 81.5 kg this morning. I have been doing Slimming World but it really isn't working for me. So new plan from tomorrow. I am going to aim high and say get down to 78kg by the end of the month. Probably won't hit it. But if I try for 1kg I can be sure that is all I will shift.Smile

figgieroll · 04/10/2014 23:07

Hi penguin. I must work out kg to lbs. I get v confused.

Just wanted to ask what a reasonable loss would be this month? 2 lbs a week? What's everyone aiming for?

My 8 week sugar plan is about loosing my sweet tooth and loosing about a stone.

PenguinsIsSleepDeprived · 04/10/2014 23:10

I intentionally don't do lb. I have a bit of a history of disordered eating in my teens and I find it triggers things. I'm now trying to shift post baby weight, so it's about trying to change enough to lose not maintain IYSWIM. A kg is something like 2.2 lbs, if that helps. Smile

figgieroll · 04/10/2014 23:11

Ps ) had some sugar cravings after yesterday's cake fest but today was much better then yesterday. I feel like I've had a sugar hang over today - if that's possible?

figgieroll · 04/10/2014 23:19

Great idea to do kg instead of lbs in that case Smile. How olds the little one penguin by the way? My youngest is 2 now and still my little baby. I found it really easy to get back to my normal weight with my older kids but this time it's been hard going due to my newly acquired sweet tooth.

MercuryRising · 05/10/2014 07:09

I know I am a bit late, but may I join? I weigh 12st 7lbs and feel awful. I have cellulite for the first time ever and feel fat and frumpy - pissed off with myself for allowing myself to gain this much weight Angry
I have just signed up for mfp and Im going to try to lose half a stone this month.

figgieroll · 05/10/2014 08:12

Hi mercury. Do let me know how you find MFP. I must give it a proper whirl maybe next in two weeks time

MercuryRising · 05/10/2014 08:49

I will figgieroll . I worked with someone who used it to lose 3 stone so I'm hopeful it will work. It has to I cannot get any bigger Sad

PenguinsIsSleepDeprived · 05/10/2014 10:15

Figgiroll- he's five months. He is number three and seems to have totally destroyed what abdominal muscles I had left. I cannot get into even clothes that fit at this weight last timeSad My BMI is 27 I think, which has to change. Not sure whether to try calorie counting on MFP/fitbit or just sign up for weight watchers. At the moment SW is a disaster. If I go off plan you can't 'make up for it' later in the day so I end up mainlining digestives cos I am tired.

ToeFluff · 05/10/2014 18:26

Hi everyone, glad to see everyone is more or less sticking to it.

Are people weighing once a week or just beginning and end of the month?
