2Kids -- I really like the F&S sachets. You mix them with 200-250ml water and chug them before a meal. They DO fill you up. The secret is not to eat through the pain... :)

Flowers I am sorry for your loss Matilda.

Just flipping through The Dukan Diet book from the library and came across this gem, he gets his clients to suck on 6 ice cubes spaced throughout the day. Apparently to maintain your normal temperature your body will burn 60 calories. Also if you keep your daily 2 litres of water in the fridge at 4 degrees that's another 60 calories. He does not approve of hot drinks at all oh no. He reasons "...,a hot steak is higher in calories than a cold steak."

So get your shitters tea in the fridge or make it not ice cubes ASAP.

frankie5 · 01/09/2014 21:55

Ok I had a great day and ate 3 eggs, fruit, tuna salad and veg, but then ruined it by cheating big time this evening (Ben and Jerrys ice cream straight out of the tub Shock )

Tomorrow is a new day and now only have 12 days to lose weight!

Don't like the sound of all this tea business. At my work the toilet is not that private and is in between the kitchen and my boss's office so don't think I could risk it!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 01/09/2014 22:04

Lucked - thanks for posting that! I love diet tips!

Frankie5 -- see! Your body will have burned off the calories warming itself back up. Cold Calories Don't Count!

God knows what that makes me mofro Grin !

A former colleague of mine did Dukan. It was very effective but she was incredibly regimented and boring about it.

Are you sure Mofro?
That receipt says 12st2.
That's not 13st5.

2kidsintow · 01/09/2014 22:19

Right! F&S purchased. (Via ebay as it was cheaper)

I'm good for breakfast (don't want or need it)
I'm good for lunch - busy at work and only have time for a bit of tuna salad or some crackers and philly lite
I'm OK for dinner as long as I've put a bit of forward planning in.

But I'm RUBBISH at the evenings when I want something nibbly. Hopefully these will help me kick the habit. Thanks OP. :) (If they are vile I shall blame you!)

Souper · 01/09/2014 22:21

Sorry Matilda.

2kidsintow · 01/09/2014 22:29

Should we invite katie hopkins to join us?? She looks like she needs some shiters tea!

Kelly1814 · 02/09/2014 06:43

morning all! hope no one shat the bed last night! (i didn't, just to be clear)

i headed to the gym after work with all your words ringing in my ears. i'm not gonna lie: it got ugly. i sweated like a rapist and at one point thought i saw jesus. But 30 mins on the cross trainer = 208 calories burned, apparently. and there must have been loads more when i did all my sit ups (lay on floor panting like rabid dog.)

here's my top weight loss tip for today: find a thin friend. you know how thin people are always up in your grill spouting things like "i eat whatever i want, i'm just naturally thin."

well THAT'S A LIE.

i went on holiday with a thin friend once and was staggered by how healthily and how little she ate. i'm not a massive eater but felt like a lumbering t-rex next to her.

i don't recommend going as far as booking a holiday with a thin person, but do try to hang out with one, if you can. it's quite the eye opener.

ONWARDS, SKINNY BITCHES!!

(ps i have forgotten to weigh myself today but can feel TOTM coming, so may avoid for a few days so as not to set myself back mentally when i've gained 3 stone due to water rentention.)

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 07:28

Morning all

I was so sure I would have lost something after my good day yesterday and I didn't. Oh well, I am in the zone so I will carry on and tomorrow will be the big day.

DD starts grammar school today so I might make my famous cake but I really want to make this piñata cake and can't do that as a surprise with two boys at home so might leave that until Thursday and just do choc muffins today.

No idea what I will be eating today but plenty of good healthy stuff so will be fine.

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 07:32

I m going to cry.

Went to family barbecue Sunday, had a few glasses of wine.

Ate a few carbs yesterday, but really not many.

I've put on half a stone! ShockShock

Back to 11.13. SadSadSad

WyrdByrd · 02/09/2014 07:36

Not sure whether to think Katie Hopkins is being an attention seeking twat again or slightly admire her for actually doing something like that.

Still hope she struggles to lose it though, and there's no way on God's green earth that 2009 pic isn't photoshopped.

In spite of my blow out yesterday evening I already feel better in myself for the healthy eating the rest of the day. Today will be a challenge though - long day at work on hummus, fruit & veg... not looking forward to it at all.

WyrdByrd · 02/09/2014 07:39

That sucks Cat.

I'm much the same. Can do uber healthy Mon-Sat and lose 3lb, then spend Sunday at The Olds and eat normally (sandwich instead of salad for lunch, small roast dinner & pudding) and 4lb goes back on overnight Sad .

Onwards & downwards...Grin

Victrix · 02/09/2014 07:48

I am an empty husk of a woman.

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 07:50

SadCTK but one day won't put on half a stone surely? Be extra good today and drink lots of water. It fills you up but it also helps the body to metabolize fat. Also, your kidneys can't function properly if you are dehydrated and that means the liver has to assist which stops it doing its normal job. This is to metabolize stored fat to use as energy so if it can't do that, you don't lose weight. Water is your friend.

Everyone have a drink of water now. I will be reminding you all to helpv Grin.

PrimalLass · 02/09/2014 08:17

Cat - water, water, water today.

2lbs off since yesterday Grin God loves a daily weigher Smilewould like to think that it was because of my supreme self control, but as I had none it is my usual 'lose 2lbs of water weight after my period'.

Not looking forward to getting to dinner time on fruit and a bit of bread. Making meatball bolognaise today with the 'hamburger and tomatoes'. No pasta for me. Might brave the 'slim noodles' that are hiding in the larder.
