Sadly sweating in the sauna combined with cocktails didn't see me lose weight and I weighed in at 12st 4lb today. But period just started so not too worried.

I'm going to do the lemon detox for four days as I already have the syrup. Then eating carefully over the weekend as Sunday is my half marathon.

My sexiest weight would be 8st 10lb. I feel pretty gross reading that!

Souper · 02/09/2014 08:33

12st7 and 7/8s this morning - that is down 2 and 1/4lb since yesterday.

Really pleased with that initial loss mad feeling super motivated now!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 02/09/2014 08:39

I've noticed the skinnies eat less, Kelly! They get the full-up feeling and see it as a sign to stop eating. ? Weirdos.

Itsfab, hope your DD's first day goes really well!

Cat - it's the booze. Bloats me up instantly too. It takes a few days for me to lose any wine-weight.

I was still 10st 7 this morning. But my jeans are a bit less agonising.

Well done all you losers! :)

Primal, have you read about our lunch today? Fruit??? Just fruit? :(

WFM I can't wait to her about the lemon detox!

I've done lemon detox before and always intended it to be the kick-starter to good habits. I then wear the dress/bikini/whatever and stop caring.

It turns your poo yellow so it's perfect for those tiring of the standard shittea experience Wink

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 08:53

I'm really excited about lunch today, whats! It must be the unlimited carbs aspect :)

Weighed my self today.
Mad scales- the ones I hold my self on the radiator and slowly brave myself to let go- said 1lb down. :)
Reasonable scales -that have the numbers so small that I have to judge weight loss by other means- showed I was down by the thickness of a ruler (thin side up) and a hair! Grin

And according to the tape measure the gap between the button and buttonhole on my most favourite jeans is down 1/4".

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 08:59

Got round to read the facelift diet and I'm happy to join you. I reckon if we follow the recipes on the blog we'll be plumping skin everywhere. :)

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 09:01

Well done Souper!!

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 02/09/2014 09:05

He reasons"...,a hot steak is higher in calories than a cold steak."

WHATT?? I just smugly spent yesterday convincing myself that there was no difference. Hmmph!

Gobbler did you eat nothing at all yesterday? Not even a bit of supper after all that exercise? Please say you did. Otherwise I'm going to risk the wrath of fellow shitters by telling you to that seems a bit extreme. [Hides and ducks the eggs and turd thrown at me with a collective boo]

GlaceCherries You and I are very similar. I'm also 5'2 and although I started yesterday at 10st 7lbs, I'm down to 10st 3.5lbs today so just a half pound off your weight. Like you, I'm also aiming to go back to my previous weight of 8.5 stone.

Kelly that is so true. My sister who is s year older than me but looks like my bloody daughter is a tiny size 6-8. I've noticed she eats less than a quarter of what I eat and although she's a keen baker, she merely nibbles at the crumbs of cakes and biscuits.

Another one here really looking forward to today's lunch of fruit. Will chop up a banana, an apple, kiwi and a peach of two. Maybe a handful of blackberries from the garden too.

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 09:15

I have just made apple thins for the kids and now my kitchen smells of Christmas.

Now making a cake for DD to celebrate her first day at secondary school. I will be able to resist the cake but I am feeling peckish so will eat soon.

Have had my tea. It is quite tasteless now.

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 09:16

So gutted, was really hoping to be 11.4 tomorrow for weigh in but it isn't going to happen now.

Now my question is, do I continue with the low carb, or switch to Scarsdale?

Todays plan is: Drink nothing but water and green tea. An orange for breakfast, some chopped chicken for lunch, possible steak and salad for dinner tonight, or no dinner at all if I can manage it.

8lb lighter by morning?

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 02/09/2014 09:23

CatThief I was a bit worried about Scarsdale when OP mentioned it was hard. But so far, its seems much easier than the Atkins I was doing before that.

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 09:23

Cat, you could purify alcohol with lemon bloat reducing drink before weigh in. Depending on how much you want to pee... Squeeze and retain juice for an empty stomach or condiment. Place lemon skins into 1 pint hot water and let it steep for ~20mins. Drink 2-3 hrs before weigh in.

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 09:29

OOh, would it that get rid of a whole half stone though Favardi? What about if I did it several times today, and then again in the morning?

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 09:30

The Scarsdale is scarse in calories (and virtually fat free) but surpringly filling.
The Atkins is plentiful in calories and virtually carb free. So the choice is calories vs carbs? Which can you hide better?

Victrix · 02/09/2014 09:31

I am also trialling hard-boiled eggs done in the slow cooker. Could be a game changer.

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 09:32

Once is enough, is the slimtee of Purifying teas!!!

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 09:34

Hard-boiled eggs in a slow cooker?! Are they less caloric?

littlewhitebag · 02/09/2014 09:35

Well i am up .5lb this morning. What a disappointment.

Victrix · 02/09/2014 09:40

They are much lazier which is a plus for me Grin

Lucked · 02/09/2014 09:41

Well after reading a lot about the Dukan diet it's not for me 50pages explaining that protein isn't fattening like carbs and fats- no shit Sherlock!

I don't think I can do the pure protein days, wouldn't be able to eat unlimited quantities of protein as I can't afford it, so basically I would probably have the same meals but without veg or carbs.

For those who liked the ice cube tip apparently a 2 minute show at 25 degrees burns 100 calories!!

Scarsdale for me, although I had to have kiwi rather than grapefruit today, I really need to go shopping.

PrimalLass · 02/09/2014 09:44

Primal, have you read about our lunch today? Fruit??? Just fruit?

I know! And have a tennis lesson at 2. I'm unfit enough but will look like a total weakling after just fruit. Though I don't have any bread until Mr Tesco arrives so will have that for lunch instead of breakfast.

GobblersKnob · 02/09/2014 09:48

CatThief that is indeed a bastard, agree with everyone else, mainline water. I also think low carb is for life really, if I go back to carbs it all comes back super fast, do it depends if you can make that commitment, it was easier for me as I am teetotal anyway.

Victrix why are you slow cookering eggs?

everyone Grin I ate nothing yesterday as is my normal emetophobe protocol after someone in the house is puking (dd Sunday night), I usually wait 48 hours, but wouldn't have done all that exercise, have had a shake for brekie as felt decided queer this morn :)

Treated myself to the perfume I used to wear when I was 19 and painfully thin, am planning to sniff myself smaller.

FavadiCacao · 02/09/2014 09:52

Oh I see, Victrix.:)
I thought you needed time to kill between meals. The perfect lazy egg
